I didn't understand this list. I think unexpected looks means talents with unique looks (not necessary the voice) that represent like a surprise who see them. I see that way. Only three auditions are relationed with the meaning of the title. The other auditions seem random auditions you added to fill the list. Could anyone explain what the real point is? The thing with the guy who sang Prince Ali is that it was a great rendition of the song, but more than that, he has natural showmanship. He is a performer at heart and you CANNOT teach that.
That was my thought. The audience was up and moving and he turned it into more than just a show tune. I enjoyed it. Will should have turned, that's right up his alley. 😅
That bold attempt to sing a legendary song by Vitas is so so insane. He's amazing. The Asian auditionee who sang Highway Star by Deep Purple also has monstrous vocals. It's very conspicuous how veteran he is in his singing skills. The way how he screams A5 in mixed voice..It's really good and well supported. He's my favorite among the talents. 👍
That rendition of 'Girls just want to have fun' was amazing. A whole different spin on what was a woman's anthem, sounded like a dad's message to his daughters to be happy. Love it
I love The Voice Germany. Especially the coaches 😊 now my Spotifylist have Johannes, Nico and Mark on it. If it wasn't for The Voice, I would never have known that they even existed.
I've heard Girls they want to have fun hundreds of times and naturally relegated it to a fast paced anthem for Girls who want to have fun. But Magnus' slower paced version was so full of well placed soulful emotional emphasis that it's almost like I heard this song for the first time, so that it went from a fast paced whimsical song to a slower thought provoking ballad, so much so that I actually ended up feeling sorry for those girls who just want to have fun but can't! Bravo, Sir!

I has no idea what to expect from the 2nd guy, but as soon as that familiar Phantom music swelled up, I knew I was immediately going to love it. I got immediate chills. His voice is amazing.

The last guy was so sweet honestly he deserves the world. I believe that he definitely deserves a chance and the coach that said what were you thinking really doesn’t understand the point of view of how I believe the individual thought singing metal was not going to get him through compared to a pop song.

This was the most unique showcase of talent. I enjoyed the variety of musical genres. Each performer captured the audience and sang to the bvest of their ability. That is why I love the voice. However, for me, the tope three were Matthew Garwood, Jaszon Jones, and the most unique the man from Sri Lanka, but BRAVO to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the timecI am amazed how little the jury reacts to the audience . Like with Chris James .The audience was reacting to him , you could see something cool was going on .Yet they waited till they missed his whole musical routine , his act , he was obviously used to being in musicals . So natural in his role as the genie. As music " connoisseur " they should've turned much sooner . Voice alone is 80% of the package , he had that , a great multi usable voice .The rest is charisma . That was his real Forte, the man is a born musical star .

Pillowtalk was wonderfully shocking for coaches. The rendition of Girls Wanna have fun, I felt like a little girl again. I had forgotten what it's like to love myself as being a little girl, just out and having fun being one, than the independent woman I am expected to be. And I automatically found myself jumping and dancing to Prince Ali. Lol

See now... apart from the Singing Nun! the one that seriously shocked ME was Patrick Bullock. He chose a musical theatre style & delivered it perfectly - but I kept waiting for him to 'sing properly.' I think we ALL were! You could hear it all - all that magnificent potential - IN there. He has perfect pitch across quite a few registers, great timing and even better dynamics and his various timbres are full & rich & resonant. So this has all the makings of a spectacular voice across the Bari/ Tenor range. But when he did 'kind of 'sing', right at the end, it was weak & hesitant & disconnected and I was truly shocked. And then we had 'Metal Man' ... And it occured to me that maybe Patrick has NEVER HAD proper vocal coaching to discover and release his real voice! I don't think he has a clue what he actually HAS. I wonder if he will now do the work to find out. REALLY hope he does. 👍

Hiram Omkaar blew my mind right out my left ear. Fan-flippin-tastic! I know everyone was raving about beach blonde opera girl - her voice was certainly pure but she couldn't sustain her high notes and slid off them like a saw violin. jmho.
Hiram... amazing. I think that the points with the beach blond is that a) she is a surfer, which is a lowbrow subculture, very different in mindset to upper class opera, and b) she was self taught.
I remember this audition. I wondered then if any of the teachers at Opera Australia were watching it and thought about contacting her. She could have been mentored and nurtured properly. There have been some rather good opera singers on The Voice Australia but the judges don’t seem to feel adequate enough to improve their skills. The only ones who get through have added some crossover vocals. I suspect they’ve realised this too.
All auditions were grat, the guy who sang Opera #2 has a CRAZY AMSZINGGG voice, and i loved it when the Sister sang and all the other Sisters were cheering for her🥺

This is why I love The Voice. People, without even realizing it, judge everyone for everything. Judging based off of raw talent is so amazing.
I always think this when disabled folks audition. So many people treat them as lesser and there's this amazing talent people are missing out on.
