Mad respect for Dr Chen. Pretty above and beyond and I'm glad he didn't have to cut you too badly.
Seriously. I can't say enough kind things about this man.
If there were only more out there like Dr. Chen. Had he not been so thorough and insistent, things would've been much worse. Anxiety is hard to deal with man. Glad he was able to remove the strictures without any major cuts. May the piss flow free now, my friend.
Seriously, so thankful for him! Hopefully peeing will be way more reliving now :P
Dr Chan caused all these problems in the first place
I love how while talking about the surprise of surgery you can sound so calm 😂 I would be freaking out I'm new 2 your channel and I'm loving your videos and learning your story. Love from my little family of crazies in the UK xxx
Cody, you are the bravest guy! What you have been through is just unimaginable to me. To be your real true self, you had to deal with so much physical pain. I am in awe of you.
I'm finally getting to watch your older videos. Much respect to you! Hugs!
thanks for the update, I'm happy you were able to figure out what the issue was and hopefully from here on out everyting will go smoothly. Well done for dealing with what must have been a bit stressful to unexpectidly go into surgery so soon! I'm wishing you a speedy and smooth recovery, take care Cody!
Thank you!! So relieved it is fixed up!
Dr chen sounds fantastic! I am so glad you are feeling better and sorry to hear you are in pain but so happy it is sorting out. Feel better quickly and know you are in the thoughts of so many who care for you.
He really is. So thankful to have him as my surgeon!
I'm so glad to hear that he didn't have to cut like he was going to originally. It sounds like you might have ended up with the best ending result. And no surgery anticipation.
Yes so relieved! No surgery anticipation is kind of awesome haha.
Holy crap! I'm glad you're getting that taken care of! Dr. Chen seems like a really good doc! And you made it to 10K!!!
Thanks dude! Yes, he really is great. I am so thankful! And yes!! So crazy!
so so glad you're okay Cody!! have been worried about you, dude. hope things get better ♡
Thank you!
Man! I watch all of your videos, and I just wanted to say that you're an inspiration to those of us going through our transitions. Your will to keep pushing and keep your head up is great to see. I'm glad you finally got it figured out, keep doing you bro! Much love💚
Aw thanks so much that means a lot!! Hopefully it is up from here on out :)
Cody_talks Sounds like you and Dr. Chen are finally getting things on the right track, good luck to you and have a wonderful day! :)
sorry you had to have surgery, glad you fixed it before it got bad. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for the update, high or not you're an awesome guy.
Thanks dude! haha someday I will not be so high or full of complications :P
Yay no cutting and you got the stricture fixed! Healing here comes Cody! My anxiety fools me too sometimes but it's always best to get it checked out because like you said it's not always anxiety. Keep the faith! I'm continuing to keep you in my prayers.✌️💖
Thank you!! :)
Validated anxiety, no poop, piss perfection, surprise surgery and strictures...
Oh the adventures of the beautiful human body!! LoL
I'm so proud of you, as always. You're very brave my friend. 💗 Totally happy that Doc made an instantaneous decision to get you in there, and resolve the issue the same day. Smart man. :) Stay strong, catheter will be out in no time. You got this Cody. Xo
Thank you! Yes, so glad to have him as my surgeon. He really seems to care about his patients!
I am so glad you got it sorted finally, hopefully from now on everything will be plain sailing, get well soon man xxx
me too, thank you! :)
You know i had my hysto around the same time you did. You helped me out. I had the robot also. Your moving fast in your transition because a year later your having phallo. Wow. Thats so awesome. I hope to keep your momentum
You never really know what's going to happen one moment to the next. I'm so glad you found relief Cody❤️
Seriously! And thank you! Feels good to have this surgery done now :) No more worrying.. for now. haha.
I am new to your channel and your journey has been long. I hope you will get well soon and heal great. Keep a positive attitude. You are very strong and brave to share your journey. I have mad respect for you and for everyone who undergoes transitioning.
Welcome! :) Thank you so much, I appreciate the encouragement! I think I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel finally!
Glad that the Dr. finally found out what was wrong and fixed it! Take the time to rest and recuperate. You are amazing!
Me too! And thank you!!
I'm glad you got your issue fixed Cody! Hope you heal up real soon. Loves xx
Thank you! :)
Wishing you a quick recovery! Hopefully this is it.
Thank you! :)
I'm so glad they could do something about this. In sorry you needed surgery again. And so soon. :/ your Dr sounds amazing, and I'm so glad he is so good with you and deals with issues head on, but not rudely. :)
Thanks! And yes luckily I have a great surgeon!
I am so glad he took care of the stricture promptly. Now hopefully it will go as planned this time. Wishing you quick healing.
Thank you! :)
Well done, dude. All this pain and hard work will be worth it.
Glad you're doing better and got through all of that. Hang in there. And rest, rest, rest!
Thank you! Just gotta survive this damn catheter lol ugh
Your stoned giggle is hilarious. Glad he was able to fix you up. For someone with anxiety, surprise surgery is better than planned because you can't spend weeks/months stressing about it!
Haah right! I was like wait.. surgery? I didn't even have time to worry. LOL
Wow. Glad things are fixed now.
Glad to hear you have relief and are on the mend. 👍🙂
Thank you! :)
So glad you’re okay and didn’t end up in the ER! Because just like Dr. Chen said, the ER people might not have known how to properly help someone who is having issues with your type of surgery. Get well soon!
Me too! So so happy things were resolved ASAP. And now I know if I get another stricture in the future... haha.
Ugh! You poor thing! Hang in there :( Just make sure to rest as much as you can and don’t wear yourself out. I’m late seeing this video but a lot of my family’s birthdays are in September, including mine! It was yesterday 😂❤️
Happy everything worked out!
Thank you! :)
U should say "pees out!" ...at the end...lol...glad u feel better....and caught it in time! Take care
CyndyKated that's a good one! 😂💕
hahaha perhaps when I get the catheter out! :P
I'm glad you figured out the pee issue lol. Still really enjoying watching your journey!
Me too! Thanks for watching :)
Wow that's crazy dude! Glad you're okay!
Thanks! Feeling much better!
Im Glad You Are Getting All Better Man
Thanks dude!! Me too :)
I am SO glad that they've been able to address this, and get you through to surgery straight away. I know it must really suck when it was so unexpected but if it means you can actually pee properly then that is worth it.
Thank you! Yes TOTALLY worth it. I am so happy its done!
Glad to see your on the mend and it's fixed. At least it wasn't so invasive like you were hoping it wasn't going to be. :)
Thanks man! So happy it wasn't as invasive too! Worth the week to not have my dick cut. :P
Cody_talks I've been researching the one doctor we have here in Canada he does the hook ups on 2nd stage. I'm hoping the new one we get in the new year doesn't wait that long.
Ah yes, more and more doctors seem to be doing it this way.. however, I don't know that it actually comes with less complications.
I understand about anxiety making you think everything is in your head!
Oh no Cody but at least now you can pee fully and in less pain. less hope this is the end of all the problems!
Yes!! Has definitely brought the anxiety down!
That's good news Cody!!
Thank you so much for always keeping us updated. I hope you take pride in everything you do for the trans community. By the way, I caught a glimpse of your arm and it looks amazing!
Hey thanks!! The arm is feeling better too so thats nice. I guess everything just needs time, slowly but surely I will be back to normal :)
So glad you're stritcher (sp?) is fixed and you can empty your bladder. Hope you're resting well now.
Thank you! And well, the catheter currently empties my bladder but.. better than not being able to empty it haha. Hopefully it will be out by thursday :)
Keeping my fingers crossed that Thursday will be the end of catheters for you my friend.
Oh wow
Well you are OK now, so that's good. And you look great.
Thank you :)
Sorry if this is way off topic, but have you/would you ever do a tattoo tour kinda video. I'm a tattoo collecter and I'm very curious about yours :)
I haven't but I would! :)
Totally unrelated but congrats on hitting 10k man
Thank you!! :) Never thought that would happen!
I'm going to get this when I'm older. I don't care if it hurts I'm getting it done
Glad to know things are all fixed!!! Where did you stay during recovery, Im coming from Canada & would like to know where others have stayed.
Thanks! I stayed at the Extended Stay America in San Rafael. For the past two surgeries I just went home after because I am close enough but for stage one the extended stay was good!
Thanks!!! hope this is your last big hurdle & that you are all good after this. Again thanks for sharing your experiences.
I love your videos. And it just makes me think for the people who think being LBGTQ is a choice, why would anyone put themselves through these types of surgeries and through the pain and recovery if it was just a choice.Or the hate and pure evil that some people that are homophobic spew.Nobody on earth would choose that.Thank you so much for sharing your life with us
dang so pleased you have a good DR and he didnt just wait around and did something about it that day. good luck for a speedy recovery. mad love. its so interesting to see the good an the bad happening an that things are becoming right again. surgery is nuts, the human body is nuts.
It is nuts! Very thankful for my doc :) Thanks for following along!
hello I just jumped on to your channel! you're so cool
Haha well thanks for jumping on :)
So I’m a gay man and am just so fascinated by all of this for lots of reasons. I just wanted to say that I think you’re awesome and brave and you look super cute and I’m so glad your stricture is resolved! Wishing you the very best and thank you for sharing. 😃
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Cody. The whole procedure sounds so painful from taking the flesh from your arm to the actual phalloplasty. I knew nothing about trans men and women until I watched your videos. I have been educated greatly and think you are very brave. Love from the UK. X
+amy carter aw so glad to hear it's been educational! Thank you so much for watching :)
Hugs. That is all I can say. Hugs hugs. Bro hugs.
Hugs!
Oh god, I would have been stressing the hell out. I'm terrified of any kind of surgery @_@
Haha somehow same day surgery is less stressful than waiting. Less time to think!
If you haven't tried it yet, milk of magnesia will work wonders for post-op pain med constipation. I tried colace after top surgery and it didn't help so I tried milk of magnesia and was relieved literally in minutes (it may take more like an hour). It's worth a shot if you need it and can be found at a drug store like CVS. Hope the rest of the healing goes well!
Thank you! :)
I don't know, if you have answered this question before. What insurance did you use and was their any out of pocket cost? What did the surgery cost as well? Thanks it's awesome your doing well.
Hi there, I had blue shield and the out of pocket cost was $2000 I believe they billed my insurance 200k
All these videos of complications has me worried ;~; I'm already worried about surgery Dx
aw no don't worry, they will soon be resolved :)
i'm sorry dude! Fortunately, they have solved it now. Class of Dr Chen that he himself did, and sent your not to another hospital. Get well soon Cody.
Thanks dude! Yes, soooo glad to have it fixed up and Dr.Chen is amazing to do it for me that day so I didn't end up in the ER!
I have anxiety and it is very confusing to know when its the real deal or are you just over thinking .....i know keeping my mind occupied helps
I know right!? In Hindsight.. I see how it was in no way in my head but damn... the mind can play some tricks lol
This all sounds like an extremely painful experience..Do you ever regret having the ftm surgery ever?
+mary church NO.
You poor guy. I'm glad you got things resolved. Let's hope things stay this way. How'd things work out with that coworker misgendering you? Docusate is a good stool softener which I take due to pain meds. Maybe you could check it out.
😢
It makes me queasy to think about the pain. So sorry you went thru all that.
Luckily I am feeling better now! :)
Cody_talks I am new to your channel. I have been binge watching. I hate getting shots so what you went to takes a lot of bravery. You are cute too;)
haha aw thanks :)
Cody_talks I'm Erica from Arkansas by the way
oh man... I feel you.
I'm a biological male, and for some reason nobody really knows I been making strictures throughout my life, I started at 8 years of age, today I'm 29 and I had yet another surgery, my 4th one about 2 weeks ago. Been with a Foley catheter for a 10 days now and probably will need to intermittently catheterize myself for the rest of my life, so yeah... my heart goes out to you
Oh man I am so sorry. :( That is crazy that they don't know why. Maybe you should see Dr.Chen. He is an amazing reconstructive urologist.
Cody_talks I'll keep it in my mind for sure! if everything fails that is.
as for the rest, don't sweat it, I know how it is with the urethral problems, but I'm sure you'll work yours without an issue, just remember there's some human somewhere in the galaxy who understands exactly how the poking and prodding and uncertainty of this very specific problem feels like.
keep up the good work with your channel, you got yourself a loyal subscriber.
What makes a person feel like the opposite sex? It is what it is, isn't it? Or is it just they want to BE the opposite sex?
+bippy20 I believe it has to do with hormones and development in the womb.
Oh no, scar tissue?
This is just so weird
not really sure why
