That's a good idea to use the chickens to clean up and fertilize the garden. Nothing like getting a little help from the farm animals. 💖💖💖 The chickens we had as a kids would eat all the scraps we tossed them except for the onion scraps. I read somewhere that chickens don't like onions. I know our would never touch them. 🤔💖😊
😂😂 baby oh my back ❤. Great job guys and how fantastic to have chicken helpers. Lots of damp and snow here still so I’ll just watch everyone else working 🤭. Have an awesome and blessed week, stay safe, Ali ⛄️☔️🇨🇦
I think it's funny to hear you guys say "I COULD USE SOME SNOW" when I'm still shoveling out from a week ago the 2-1/2 feet we got in 2 days here in Mid Michigan. PLEASE come get some from my yard. LOL
To me the purple asparagus tastes pretty much like the green, maybe a little stronger in flavor. However I really like the texture of the purple, it seems to be less stringy and more tender. Hope what ever you decide on does amazing and you all enjoy the fruits of your labor. May God bless you and yours. Please take care. Bye for now.
I've never done a side-by-side comparison of asparagus but from what I remember, purple tastes essentially the same as green. Whatever you grow will be better than store bought either way 😁
You're farm/garden always makes me feel like I am right there. I love the chicken run and the way the raised beds are arranged. Thanks for a pleasant video to start the day!
Hi, I came across one of your videos through the random UA-cam algorithm. I left you a subscription because I had a lot of fun watching you. I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos. I wish you a great time growing your plans. Kind regards from Germany Lisa.
Good morning Cara and Ryan, Happy New Year to you and your boys ❤ I love seeing all of your winter clean up. My rooster 🐓 is a handsome guy. You're getting close to 10K👍💕 ❤Peggy❤
Hi Peggy! I love all the different colors of our roosters feathers, I think he is really handsome too. It is fun seeing the chickens interact with each other. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day. -Cara
I had really great luck starting my asparagus from seed. Last year I started it in March, planted it out in the garden a month or so later and by fall it was huge! I don’t suspect I’ll get a harvest this year, but they’re already starting to come back.
I've found asparagus to be onion-like with root development, easy to transplant. We have heavy slug pressure so Strawberries in-ground is a waste, but I hear they are fine companions.
Someone else I watch here on UA-cam tried strawberries with asparagus and had the exact problem you mentioned. I don't remember if they were totally shaded out but I do remember her mentioning how difficult it was to harvest the berries among the big tall asparagus ferns
I have asparagus seeds from my existing plants I gathered last year that I plan to plant this year. We'll see how it goes. I don't think I did the asparagus planting right, or not enough water, because they have been there 3 or 4 years with little in the way of produce. Maybe this year....?

I've not grown much of anything except potatoes yet😐 and I doubt I'll ever be as organized as you and Ryan! Thanks Cara 😊👍
It looks so nice.

i stg i thought it said chick-fil-a for a second 😭
haha 😂 I can see that too. I do love some Chick-fil-a though
white asparagus is just the green asparagus that is grown underground without light, you do this by making a soil high on top of your planter of 20 c
ohh how fascinating! I had no idea, thanks for sharing! 😊

How has your mobile chicken coop worked out? And the improved brooder? Any advice for a newbie getting into chickens?
Where is your sliver and blue ring from? I love it!
It was actually a gift, so I am not sure. Thank you though! 😊

I read that asparagus doean't like strawberries. Carrots
Onions can affect the flavor of their eggs.
