To take that abuse it needs a welded clutch. Back in the day we sold a rover sdi, customer brought it back saying clutch was slipping, we fitted a new clutch, he was towing a caravan, came back again saying it had gone, I said no this time, you can duff a clutch up in no time if you abuse it, or it can last 70k,it's your choice really. Sold a 19k i10 last year, nothing up with the clutch, customer was revving up and slipping clutch like mad when she drove off, I thought she'll be back, and she was, clutch had worn out so much you couldn't even get it to move. Customers eh.....

Yes, we self warranty, warranty wise, or similar wouldn't have covered a clutch anyway.
Best of luck going it your self bud, if I could afford to jack my main job I'd be doing the same thing, with the clutch I've seen that a couple of times on the pressure plate but usually when it's been a crappy ebay/transmech clutch that's been in it.

Surprised you have fitted a transmech clutch, they are known to be complete junk.
Wouldn't be surprised if the one you took out was transmech, they are known for exploding
Possibly a manufacturing defect mixed in with a new driver

40 years in the trade on heavies and military kit ,never see that type of clutch failure ..Carpark burn outs ? i would expect to see the friction plate ripped apart ,Being a new driver maybe he cant feed the clutch in properly , It is a puzzle....Hope your not trying to steal chops viewers lol
