    I purchased a 2023 Passport EX-L back in February. I love it. Rides great and actually gets better gas mileage than expected (a bit better than listed). I traded in an ‘05 Element and the Passport gets better gas mileage than the 4 cylinder that was in the Element. If you don’t need a 3rd row, I highly recommend this car.

    Dude understands the assignment, most people like Honda Passport for its living large cargo area and you covered it comprehensively, good job and give 👍🏼 for sure.

    i can tell everyone, the single best comfort aspect of this vehicle is that the arm rests are adjustable. Remember those old lawn chairs that you raised up click by click, and when you got all the way up then you could lower it down and start over? Anyone should be able to find an exactly right, just-for-them height for the arm rest and it makes all the difference.
    the other reason to get one of these is the Honda V6 has been around forever, is extremely reliable and their transmission has been around quite a while too. No CVT, no turbo, just reliable smoothness.

      Those armrests are gone in this video and for 2024

    I have a white 2019 Passport Elite I purchased new, and I love it. Now it has 61,000 miles on it and has never needed any repairs. I was planning to get a new car this year because I usually get a new car every 4 years, but I can't find anything I like better, and it is in such good condition I don't want to buy another new Passport that is not that much different than the one I have. I never use the paddle shifters or drive in sport mode. And I think I get better mpg when I'm not using ECON mode. Daily I get 22 mpg combined city highway driving. The best milage I get on a highway trip is 26 mpg. The other reason I like it so much is because it is very comfortable for me, I'm 6'4 and 235 lbs. It tows my small utility trailer just fine and I often use the hitch for my
    E-bike rack.

      Agreed! I have a 2019 Passport EX-L. I am in the same boat - have looked around and can't really find anything in it's price range that has a smooth V6, 2 rows and rides nice and quiet inside. And have to admit the Passport is a sleeper. I surprise alot of people when I take off at the light or accelerate onto the freeway.

      If you have a great service at your local Honda, get the Black edition ! Reliable and the new edges of the truck are incredible. (switched from a 2020 to a 2024 BE)

      Same! I have a 2021 Elite and have enjoyed the simplicity of the controls (not overly electronic with a laptop protruding out of the dash🙄), the spacious cabin, cargo....you know you own one. Just test drove the Lexus RX and NX and hated it the moment I sat in the driver's seat. The turbo was fun but just didn't like having to enter into a computer screen for radio and climate control....it's nonsense. So, I'm back to looking at the Passport BE 2024. I just can't find another SUV that I like as well. Seems like other SUVs are over the top with electronics, or they have captains chairs in the second row or a third seat....all the stuff I don't want or need. My only hesitation is deciding to buy a 2024 or waiting for the redesign in 2025.....

    Love the roomy interior cabin of the Passport and the projector headlights but dislike the leather seats. Wish the top trim level would have the option of top-tier cloth seats! Real or fake leather seats are not as durable, as proven with older vehicles. I was never a fan of black edition vehicles; they tend to fade out faster! That white color would look sharp with silver roof rails and alloy aluminum wheels rather than those black wheels. I basically gave you my dream version.

    Holmes Honda in Shreveport, LA or Bossier City, LA? In other words, where to find you. You sound like you know what you’re talking about!
    I do like this Honda. I have always bought Honda, and not changing. Is the transmission still made in Japan?
    Thank you for the video Tom ❤

    Being a Ridgeline owner, I wonder if the 2024 BE will have the rear seat climate controls in addition to the front and rear heated seats. Huge question is why they didn't update to the improved Honda Sensing found in Pilot.

      I have a new 2024 Pilot, but surprised to hear that the smaller Passport has a bigger gas tank and what appears to be real exhaust vs the fake exhaust on Pilot.

    • @VehicleVisionary
      @VehicleVisionary  10 місяців тому +5

      The update should come for the 2025 model year. After filming this video I found out that the new Passport will no longer be a two row version of the Pilot. It will be different but I don't know any additional details yet.

      @@VehicleVisionaryOh no, they're going to ruin it by adding a 3rd row, making it impossible to get a 2nd-row bench seat in the top trim. A pet peeve of mine 😞 This vehicle is almost alone in its category - 50 cu ft of cargo space behind the 2nd row? And a bench seat (obviously)? I just wish they'd refresh it with the Pilot's engine and transmission and update the MID and infotainment.

    Is this in the same category as the Blazer? If so then its a toss up between the Passport and the Blazer RS.

    • @VehicleVisionary
      @VehicleVisionary  10 місяців тому +1

      Yes, the Blazer and Passport are competitors. One thing to consider is whether or not to wait for the 2025 models to come out. Both should be redesigned.

    A big negative is its not set up for towing. Will cost you an extra $1500!

    • @cloquetareavolleyballclub978
      @cloquetareavolleyballclub978 7 місяців тому

      I had a 2019 Honda Passport Elite edition and the towing package addition was about $1300. I had quite a few problems with the '19 MY and traded it in on a 2021 Honda Passport Elite and the towing package had dropped to around $5-600. I didn't check for the 2024 MY. If you want to tow to the 5,000 lb. VV comments about you have to add the transmission cooler and the bigger fan. That will run you over $1,000 (I think it's about $1,300 to be exact). I'd have to look at the receipt for when I did it to mine.

      These will be heavily discounted in 2024, as 2025 will be a thorough redesign and maybe be released before 2024 year end. Honda was almost ready to release the redesign this year, but didn’t get it done in time.

You can find out if you use the link in the description of the video or you can go to the Honda build website and you will see that the 2024 Passport does not have any changes from the 2023 other than some changes to the trailsport model but not exterior or interior changes. Those will come in 2005.
