I don’t know why, but Rance’s reaction upon meeting Silbarrel killed me. These 2 games really don’t matter that much, but you’re damn right in that they are funny!
Kichikuou is just so fuckin insane and so long, that i honestly expect like no less than a 90+ minutes segment just to talk about the absurd amount of routes the game lets you do! looking forward to it!
Great to see another Rance video so soon after subscribing. I expect the Kichikuou Rance video to be pretty long, considering the scale and depth of the story. Definitely looking forward to it.
Wenlina is super important later on, yeah. The Holy Gal Monsters only really important in Rance X, and since IV and 4.X was never overridden by remake/new canon, this is the important game that introduces Wenlina, Holy Gal Monsters, and that there are special Gal Monsters around which is relevant in Kichikuou, Rance 5D, VI, and X. Since you should be at Kichikuou now, I think this game is actually a good taste of what Rance without Sill looks like. Same with the focus on political landscape, Rance stories usually deals with political landscape, issues, and history of a specific region each games. It's yet another thing that TORI basically sets up to be explored after she leaves much like the things in IV did.
Gotta agree. As great as Kichikuou is, playing it before the modern timeline is sorta like skimming an unfinished wiki summary of games 6-10. It's not detailed enough to fully spoil the newer installments, but it does diminish the mystery and turn some major revelations into just 'oh yeah, I remember that from Kichikuou'.
@@Istalior barely anything in Kichikuou resembles later games imo. Every country and character (ignoring the people introduced in 1-4) is completely different past Kichikuou, zero resemblance.
@@CozyRogers i disagree. i would liken the analogy more to reading a map with names of cities and landmarks vs actually going there and experiencing it. A lot of the scenes that happen and characters that are introduced in brutal king are way different in the newer games. Well anyway thats my opinion. I would just highly recommend that people still play kichikuou because honestly the story and gameplay can still live up to todays standards especially replay ability its amazing
isn't one of the reasons Sill had to stay at home because she nearly died in IV and Rance doesn't want to get her in danger?
4.1/2 are nice (and short) enough distractions that they're definitely not worth skipping. For real videogamers only!

Oh boy, get ready for some serious gut punches in Kichikuou Rance (especially if you mess up).

I had more fun watching this video than playing the actual games, great job dude
