In the next mk2 models of the new Jimnys just wait until they get the abruptness sorted of the brake wheel slip power to wheel with traction sorted. The Jimny will be unstoppable then. The system seems a little slow and not so smooth but just wait until Suzuki get the feedback and the input they crave to create a more fluent and capable 4x4.
It is supremely capable. The traction control may seem a little harsh / slow to react, but in practice it works. Remember that it still has a small engine, and in many situations you need more revs than with a bigger engine, and the traction control caters for this.
@fukthegoog yes, lockers are the ultimate solution. Brake Traction control is cheap, it's just another programme on the esp system. With a locker the same vehicle would probably cost at least 2000 USD more.

What makes it too expensive? It's closest competitor is a Jeep Wrangler which is more than double the price. And all the wrangler gives you is a little more space.

The more I see of the new Jimny the more I want it!
Saaame
I get mine the day after tomorrow ! Same color !
Great clips!! The jimny’s look like they’re great in real world off road situations. Keep them coming!
Look at this little bastard, climbing like a crazy goat.
Complimenti video bellissimo
Nice, vids always make the terrain look easy.
I swear this vehicle is awesome
Love Suzuki ! Love Jimny !
I might end up with one of these if they ever arrive in Australia.
South Africa getting it before Australia? There's a first!

Laxmoto depending what side of Oz you are on Japan is relatively close. Would have thought they'd sell well too for short distance / light duty work.
i'm loving Jimny too
Well done mate ! Keep up the real offroad videos with the car I love, Jimny 2019. Thank you again @Victor Rundle.
In France, I have to wait till august to own it 😪😪
first I want the Wrangler realy bad, but now the new Jimny is out I changed my mind realy fast
Simple. People, please except that the new Jimny is an amazing 4x4 for the price. I want one badly!!
Wow they look and go great

@fukthegoog i think your just pissed you aint got one, and probably cant even afford one. I hear spite in your comments.
Nice vid mate!
What do you think of the noise in highway situations (let's say around 120km/h) ?
Lots quieter than the old one. There is little wind noise but that is about all. You can have a conversation without raising your voice.

Which one is better for offroad? Manual or Auto transmission?
Auto, the manual will take a bit more skill to achieve the same results.
@@vicrundle4661 Thanks
They are subjective preferences, consider that the manual has shorter gears. Both have the same off-road performance
@@danielecigo3987 Agreed. You will be able to achieve the same with the manual, it will just take a bit of practice.

It's as cheap as these kinds of cars can get. Maybe a lada niva is cheaper? But I doubt it's as capable as the Jimny
