Love the work by Brandon and Graham! You guys are great. Brandon explains everything in such a relatable way. And Graham's playing is really cool and different
Excellent job demonstrating a beautiful instrument. One problem with Telecasters. If you have a good one , you don’t need any other guitars. And that is a REALY good one! Nice job everyone. 👍
Why, I have this very guitar! From the very first run. Gorgeous in person, everyone comments on the finish. By far the easiest Tele to play that I personally have ever had.
Yeah you are correct, no stainless steel frets that’s only on the ultra lux models but They should have put stainless frets on all of the ultras. That would’ve made em so much better. I love stainless steel frets.
This tele is what you should be looking for a guitar... I am wondering now about the weight of this guitar to be a perfect one. i've got a few guitars but fender telecasters are my favourite of all. Balanced, light, cosy, cool, nice etc etc ... I really prefer the independent bridge so this one seems to be a killer guitar.
I think that the secret to finishes that change color when you look at them from different angles is they contain microscopic particles that are highly reflective. The trick is getting them aligned somehow so it looks green from one angle and brown from another.
Was between this and the Pro II Dark Night. Ended up going with the Pro II, but could easily see myself snagging some texas tea in the future - what's one more tele, right? Great demo.
Dude, I have the pro ii in Miami blue and it’s the epitome of what a strat should sound like! Killer 🪓!! Great choice….. Contemplating this Tele now too because why not?
I have this guitar. Description given here is accurate, except unfortunately there are NOT stainless steel frets. These will wear down flat just like my American Standard Strat frets have done in 10 years of bending with vibrato. Otherwise, the features are great. Wouldn't buy it if I were a chicken picking country player, as these noiseless pickups are different than that kind of twang. But the body contours and neck feel great (best neck I've ever put my hands on, in fact). And I figured I could always swap out the pickups if I didn't like them. But these really sing and sustain, in particular when the S-1 switch is engaged.
Funny how you think the electronics are complex on this guitar lol. I just bought one of these. I definitely didn't need another telecaster but this sexy body and color was calling to me and I couldn't resist. I already have an American performer and had an American professional II. The ultra looks and feels hands down better. And it sounds fantastic...is flawless... but if I'm behind honest with myself and not being overcome with the beauty of this versus my performer I would have to honestly say that the performer sounds slightly better. Maybe it's the bigger body and neck on the performer or the pickups that make the difference... I'm not sure. Based on this I should sell my ultra because it's so much more expensive and the performer sounds better... but I must be becoming like a chick lol and going for looks over anything else because I can't give up the ultra and might sell my performer for this simple reason lol. Again the Ulta is killer too... and has some cool features... but once you start playing a performer and hear the sound you forget about the guitar looks... though the performer is good looking too... but not quite as sexy.
The Plastic case stinks. It's sad to think tomorrow's vintage guitars will have a plastic case and not a vintage aged leather case. Know what I mean?? Great guitar though.
You talk about all these features as if it's some sort of cutting edge design. All thise gadget features seem so unnecessary and seem to be adding to the sterile character of the guitar. I find it pretty typical I would dislike it (I'm older) & you would be ga ga goo goo over it. That finish truly sucks imo. Polyester goop reminds me of the old burnt out muscle cars from the 80s like the Corvette. Appearing cheap compared to lacquer finish which just looks feels better
The finishes don't look any different, Fender just doesn't offer the same colours in poly or nitro all that often. But the ones they have done in recent years look the same. It's all in your head. These guitars get attention, whereas traditional nitro finishes only attracts attention from guitarists after they hear its nitro. Most of the 'gadgets' just help it intonate and stay in tune better, as well as improve upper fret access. Hardly unnecessary and actually essential for any professional scenario. Band members/leaders, producers or engineers etc are not going to care about the finish. They'll care about hum, tuning etc because it both sounds bad & creates more work for everyone. If the all original 60's Tele with nitro has any of those issues, it'll have to go back in the case and if you want to argue, you'll just be replaced by the next session. I love traditional Teles for the back to basics, no nonsense character of them, but there's always the possibility that it'll be a hindrance rather than character.
It's a disgrace to the iconic character of the Telecaster. I wouldn't buy one nor play one. There is something about the tone that sounds sterile not very musical when compared with a real Telecaster.
FYI. The Texas tea refers to oil. And that guitar shows various shades of crude oil, from black to greenish colors depending on the location
Up from the ground came a bubbling crude! Black gold, Texas tea.
Brandon, thank you! That explanation of series vs parallel was short and sweet and the first time I completely understood it haha!

Great job Graham !!! Thank you Brandon and Jen !!!
Excellent Playing and an awesome Tele!

What year ?
great jazz chops on a tele, outstanding! Much appreciated
Nice playing! Great sounding Tele! Thanks Jen!
By far the 2nd best Couch on the internet.
HAHAHha whats the first 🤨
@@nightlight558maaaan you might be too young if you don’t know 😂
I’ve seen a Stratocaster that when you looked at it one way it was gold, then purple , then burgundy! Beautiful! Awesome guitar! Awesome video Jen!
They have been making cases to fit both Strats and Teles for the longest time.
My Dad has this guitar. It looks and sound amazing.
I'm not a Telecaster guy... But that is a really great and pretty guitar.
Not stainless steel frets btw, but the guitar is phenomenal
Yeah you are correct, no stainless steel frets that’s only on the ultra lux models but They should have put stainless frets on all of the ultras. That would’ve made em so much better. I love stainless steel frets.
Hiya guys, that tele is absolutely gorgeous 😍 the colour is so unique 😍 Just awesome 👌 👏 👍
Man, I was cringing whenever you flipped this guitar over waiting for you to smash the headstock into that shelving. So nerve racking. I need a drink.
Great choice of music to highlight this awesome guitar.
Sounds really bright. Can you tame those highs without getting too muddy?
That guitar sounds really really good. I forgot what that radius was now I have to rewatch the beginning.
Compound, 10 to 14 inch.

That was classy jazz buddy ❤sounds great 🎸🎸🎸👍🏻
This color looks wicked in person. Stands out from every other guitar in a shop. Just saw one at a GC the other day.☺☺☺
08:25 Really enjoyed that raw 60's garage vibe.
Just scored one...
AMAZING INSTRUMENT

Brandon explained the series/parallel so I finally understood😜
I’ve never seen a brown guitar that looks quite as good as the Texas Tea finish. Most just look lifeless.
Wow... Mr PC on guitar... Awesome...
I bought this guitar.. it practically plays itself.. love it
I've got one with the almond burst finish, but and I think it's a great axe. Everything is in the right place.
I have one. Mine is a burst. I love it. I don't think the frets are stainless. Not sure.
This thing looks so sick in person too
Great playing ! I just got me a ultra Tele but I really like the color of the Texas Tea
Was between this and the Pro II Dark Night. Ended up going with the Pro II, but could easily see myself snagging some texas tea in the future - what's one more tele, right? Great demo.

Graham's bends are really tasteful!
Pearlescent oil slick rainbow brown, is what that finish portrays in light. But Texas Tea does have a nicer ring to it.
⚓️ Thanks Jen Graham Brandon 😎
Does the Ultra have the traditional Tele Tone for chicken picking and country music?
Where’s Lemmo ?Anyway just tried this guitar at GC , it’s an amazing guitar , but where’s Lemmo ?
Liked the guitar a lot and played well.
Great job Graham! Good player
i have the Strat Ultra in cobra blue i love, next up is the Tele.
Is there anything new to this model in 2023?
The fender wlite had an awsome space black i wish they kept
A nice tool with a trick paint job, radius & electronics. OK if you already have a 52 black guard & 69 thin line.
Norm are you going to the Dallas/Fort Worth Guitar Show ?
I have the tele - it's bloody awesome!! is that the Darkwing Duck theme btw?
Excellent, more JAZZ- yo, tight
the tism is strong in this one
Very classy young man, very classy

The luxe has steel frets
I wouldn’t say that they are single coil pickups
Has Jack Ryan S left the store ?
"Infer"? Imply!
dont think their stainless frets?

Brandon gets my vote, today.
Looks like windows at the mirage
I don't think American ultra telecaster comes with stainless steel frets. only American Ultra Deluxe came with Stainless steel frets.
Teleamazing
Classy playing from Graham, just needs to find ways to relax in front of the camera. Of course even Lemmo has problems talking also.
has a lot of bass
2:53 ...as the name would "imply," not "infer". 🙂
English SchmEnglish!
i just now figured it out jazz is for the tone deaf because sometimes the fingerwork looks cool but other than that you got to be tone deaf
Imply. Not infer.
That's Harry Potter
Wher lemmo
with monke
The Plastic case stinks. It's sad to think tomorrow's vintage guitars will have a plastic case and not a vintage aged leather case. Know what I mean?? Great guitar though.
Belly cuts. Ugh.
The jazz.. Is a hard no for me..
Nice guitar awful demo.
amazing guitar, awful playing
