I know we've always said that Strats are good for ALL styles of music, maybe kinda winking as we said it... But now they really are! What a stunning, professional grade musical instrument. REALLY good for ALL styles of music. I am totally impressed! And I'm 70. Been doing this guitar stuff for 57 years.
got an ultra texas tea Tele a couple weeks ago, and yeah, those things are just phenomenal. suddenly stuff that I was struggling with became completely playable, so sometimes paying money for stuff is worth it (it isn't all just in the head) 🙂
Love hearing Brandon giving the technical specs. Didn’t know Fender was finally making guitars like this. Welcome to 2022, Fender. Nice playing as usual, Mr. Lemmo.
Agree with all the comments but u did not introduce your friend sitting on the couch😁 u always rock Lemmo and I felt I learned all I needed to know about the guitar 👍good job
For those on a budget who are interested in these features look for a Deluxe Players Stratocaster. These were made in Mexico a few years ago. They have earlier generation noiseless pickups, the S1 switch and necks with a 12" radius. They also have gold hardware and you can probably find one for well under $1,000. They came in 3 finishes, honey blonde, red and a gorgeous transparent sapphire blue.
There was an imposter on the couch, not sure if little bear will be pleased about that! Getting back on track great job, by both Mr Lemmo and Mr Soriano. Nice and in depth, keep em coming.
On Brandon‘s wonderful Tech explanation of this ultra Stratocaster. He left out three important things. Number one, there is a bone nut. Number two, there is a additional hand carved on the lower horn that makes access to the high for us even easier. And three, the guitar comes with strap locks which are included in the case candy
Unbelievable guitar.. modern retro… however..ML you take the weeks grand prize for ultra hip ‘T’ shirt of the week! Flat out brought the ‘hip funk’ brother!! We see you!!
Played and fell in love with this guitar at my local store today! After listening to Michael I need go go back tomorrow and splash some cash!! Great playing mate, I could listen to you all night!
I have one and it’s amazing to play and so comfortable. I love the color of the pickguard because it kinda goes with the neck as I believe it’s a little bit stained maple because it’s a bit darker and it just looks good with it. Many p complain about pickguar because if you scratch it with your pick or nail it leaves a mark like a chalkboard lol but it’s whatever I usually just clean it after playing.
12:10 and onwards, the reason why I now really want this guitar. Thnaks a lot Lemmo 😉. And thank you Brandon for the chatoyancy and the disection (did I spel that right, Im from the Netherlands) of this beauty.
Whoa! I was focused on Michaels playing so much I neglected to see the dog. There was a dog on the couch, right? Oh, and thanks for sharing the specs on the guitar. Very cool sounds coming from the multiple pick-up options.
Usually not up for a lot of switch's. But the ultra seems very well designed for a mass produced guitar, very nice Lemo, i see you have a new store manager looks very laid back 🦊
I've been on the fence for a while now to buy one of these. I even watched the Play and Trade UA-cam videos on the reviews of these guitars. The Ultra seems to be the best for the extra money. They are definitely worth it. I've always been a purist to the '50s Strats. I really love the sea foam green one's with the maple neck like this one. I really like that "Texas Tea" color with the brass pickguard. Oh yeah, nice playing Lemmo!
I really love single coil guitars, so the hum has never really bothered me. In fact, I kind of like it-just part of the magic in those pickups. It seems like people put a lot of effort into making noiseless pickups-humbuckers, many iterations of noiseless single-coils, etc. Is it really that big of a deal/do people really desire noiseless pickups that strongly? Just wondering
If you're a performer working with super high gain then having noiseless single coils is probably pretty sweet. I know Eric Johnson has said some shows he has had to use a hum cancelling guitar like 335 because the hum was actually louder than his amp while playing! I personally like the hum but I'm just playing at home so the volume is not very high.
Fender says that each iteration of noiseless they nailed it with the tone and each time guitarist say, nope, not quite. We'll see. I really like the build of this git. Sick playing as usual Mr. Lemmo!🔥
I personally love the 7.5 early radius. 9 maybe. Honestly if you need a flatter radius, buy a gibson, schecter, bc rich or whatever shreds best. I probably own all of the above and look for the early radius.
been a strataholic for 16 years. ultra is the best strat ever. I have one in surf green with roasted maple neck and itching to get another one in black with rosewood One with the noiseless, one with some fat single coils. All I need. I love the compound radius and neck feel, and that carve at the neck heel is smooth and beatiful to look at and even hold. my other strats look so ugly compared to it.
That neck pickup is really smooth too. I have a 2011 Am. Standard that I love. The bridge pickup is icepick-y and loud. I personally kinda like it bc it gives a good contrast to the neck pickup, but when he started playing that Ultra's neck pickup I was really impressed-so smooth but still sounds like a Strat bridge pickup. Great tone
I recently picked up this same exact Ultra used. It's true, the Texas Tea looks spectacular, the locking tuners are great, fantastic neck and cut for easier access, and the noiseless pickups do what they are supposed to do. Just note, in my opinion, when you A/B this guitar to a standard strat with stock pickups, there is a difference in the oompf. I disagree when he says it's indistinguishable from regular strat pickups, and I do have the same 5th gen noiseless. It's noticeable when you A/B it, and also, I would switch guitars at my band practice and found the tone better with the standard Strat (I have an 80s Japanese Strat).
#nrgfreebook I bought this same Stratocaster American Ultra with Michael & Brandon's help a week ago (Tuesday, 5/30/2023) at Norm's and have been playing it every day since. This guitar is AMAZING; what a fantastic tone and a VERY comfortable neck. I particularly love the tones with the S1 switch in the bridge position. Michael's playing on it is also superb, as always 👏. Thanks, guys, for the recommendation; it's a considerable upgrade from my Squire Startostaster - I love this guitar! 🎶(Oh, by the way, I would call your playing Iridescent or maybe Labradorescenct!)
Nice GOTD. Enjoy hearing the specs. That a nice sounding strat though with Mr Lemmo playing what doesn't sound good. I've been contemplating getting this exact model. Closer to pulling the trigger now. I want to get it while still having a wife, lol, as I've bought 3 guitars, 2 amps, & numerous pedals in the last year. How many guitars do you need? Just 1 more. 😄👍🎸
Just a side issue of sorts - when Brandon said the guitar was chatoyant. I have heard of wood being chatoyant for example the flame on a burst for example, but I think Brandon was referring to the finish as chatoyant, which I had always heard referred to as 'sparkle' or 'metallic sparkle'. Brandon was right in saying it had a chatoyant effect or 3d as some refer to it as. It depends if you are referring to the gemstone derivation or the wood derivation. This guitar reminds me of a Cross between a sparkly version of the international series and a late 50s fender bass, very cool...apologies for my previous spelling as someone kindly pointed out.
Another great representation of an extremely talented guitarist and a extraordinary instrument. Norms refuses to disappoint.
Brandon nails the specs. Thanks for the geometry lesson (r=C/

I just love getting all the technical info from Brandon. Very nice guitar indeed.
Been using an ultra in the studio now for a few years. Such a versatile instrument. Fits you like a glove.
I bought an ultra Tele earlier this year. Very happy with it. Easy to play, full adjustability and no noise from pickups.
got an ultra texas tea Tele a couple weeks ago, and yeah, those things are just phenomenal. suddenly stuff that I was struggling with became completely playable, so sometimes paying money for stuff is worth it (it isn't all just in the head) 🙂
thank you Michael Lemmo! You are great at showing what these guitars are capable of!
Wow. Blown away by Lemmo’s playing today. Really bringing the Ultra’s sounds out.
Love hearing Brandon giving the technical specs. Didn’t know Fender was finally making guitars like this. Welcome to 2022, Fender. Nice playing as usual, Mr. Lemmo.
R u related to sirloin steak. LoL i 2 am very impressed with the ultra 👍
Been out since 2019
Lol. You didn’t they were making Stratocasters? 😂
Michael, your playing today was fantastic! Some might even call it chatoyant! Thank you Brandon - love the geometry lesson! You guys rocked it today!
Agree with all the comments but u did not introduce your friend sitting on the couch😁 u always rock Lemmo and I felt I learned all I needed to know about the guitar 👍good job
Jen calls her “Momo” at the end (hard to hear over the Looper as she gets closer to the amp when she pans to the dog.)
Michael seemed sad today. I love you Michael. You inspire me to be a great guitarist & artist

I've got one of those in translucent red. Love that guitar! Thanks for mentioning that model.
There was an imposter on the couch, not sure if little bear will be pleased about that! Getting back on track great job, by both Mr Lemmo and Mr Soriano. Nice and in depth, keep em coming.
The dog 🐕 is like...dude you know any Van Halen tunes ?
🤣👍✌😁🎯🐕

Wow what a beautiful looking and sounding Strat. Mr Stat Brandon and as always Michael's magic! Great Straterday 👍
The puppy though! Micro Bear!
The tonal settings and sounds on that strat are so quintessential, but somehow fresh, and sparkling
I want every strat to sound like this one. Amazing!
Killer performance as always, Michael.
Unbelievable guitar.. modern retro… however..ML you take the weeks grand prize for ultra hip ‘T’ shirt of the week! Flat out brought the ‘hip funk’ brother!! We see you!!
How much is that doggie on the sofa? And thanks for an awesome Straturday, Brandon, Lemmo and Jen! ✌🏼
One of my favourite new colour from Fender!. Mocha burst and this Texas tea
One of my favorite GOTD! Michael you are amazingly gifted! Loved the Chihuahua....who's is it?
I've always enjoyed hearing and playing models where you can access all 3 pickups as well as front and back.
I'm lucky to have the exact same Ultra (lefty), and it truly is an awesome guitar. Love that loop jam you got going!
I remember you also played AM Pro II strat. It was metallic surf green. I was wondering what do you think if you compare Ultra and Pro II strats.
Played and fell in love with this guitar at my local store today! After listening to Michael I need go go back tomorrow and splash some cash!! Great playing mate, I could listen to you all night!
I own one of these and they are legendary for loops because of the dynamics you can get from s1 switch and all the available positions
Nice Straturday show! This Fender looks like it covers all the bases and great hard case too.
Great playing, guitar sounds awesome
The texas tea with gold colored guard looks amazing.
I got the exact same guitar today. It is beautiful. I will never get tired of playing it.
That guitar is amazing.
Great video guys ! These videos always brighten up my day and they sure do inspire a guy to practice. As always great work norms rare guitar team!

I love a straturday my favourite day of the week 🎸🎸🎸
Does anybody know what is being played at 8:00 - 8:20???
Sounds like he quoted a little bit of in my life
Love the color, pick guard, and features. I already put together a Partscaster that incorporates a lot of these. Well done Fender!
Whoa! I was focused on Michaels playing so much I neglected to see the dog. There was a dog on the couch, right? Oh, and thanks for sharing the specs on the guitar. Very cool sounds coming from the multiple pick-up options.
I just ordered one today!!!
I love my ultra, super cool and sounds great
Awesome necks
Great to hear a demo of a guitar that isn't all high-gain. Thanks.
What a great sounding instrument. Love the random dog on the couch to. Aint nothing but a hound dog and all that
Such a fantastic demonstration, brilliant playing! Great instrument
Usually not up for a lot of switch's. But the ultra seems very well designed for a mass produced guitar, very nice Lemo, i see you have a new store manager looks very laid back 🦊

Mike Lemmo The Fender California factory is great and I hope it never becomes a museum because the Fender guitar has the bolt on neck.
Hey, Mike, love your playing! But with some of these Strats, could you do just straight, real clean, too? Thanks a bunch!
Man i hope i'll be able to play as clean as this guy one day !
Wow, specs and guitar magic! What else is there, bacon I guess!
I love that guy's enthusiasm :D
A future classic.
I just love the silver logo!. :)
It's a beautiful guitar!!
I will have that guitar!!! ✨
Lemmo is especially good at writing interesting, listenable instrumental pieces.

@@fartsauce Ahhh, that makes so much sense. Thanks, man
Ask Eric Clapton or Jeff Beck.
I have the same guitar, but with the hss pickups! Was hoping to catch a lemmo demmo with that setup, but this will most definitely suffice.
Fender says that each iteration of noiseless they nailed it with the tone and each time guitarist say, nope, not quite.
We'll see. I really like the build of this git.
Sick playing as usual Mr. Lemmo!🔥
Nicely done, Brandon! Informative and engaging, thank you 👍 Sounds good in Mr. Lemmo’s expert hands too 😊
Bought this guitar a few months ago. Don't regret it at all.
Hmm, my next Strat right there. More stock coming to the UK in July apparently. Thanks for the video!
I am buying this exact guitar. Your video made me finally pull the trigger!
Looks alot like my 60th Anniversary Strat in Montego black. Love the S Switch
I personally love the 7.5 early radius. 9 maybe. Honestly if you need a flatter radius, buy a gibson, schecter, bc rich or whatever shreds best. I probably own all of the above and look for the early radius.
Good episode
Lemmo is a genius
been a strataholic for 16 years. ultra is the best strat ever. Anyone know the songs/tabs of the tunes he plays on the middle and the neck pickup as well as the one on bridge? Thank you
what is doing the looping? Nice playing a composition!
Me: “ I’ve never been a fan of neck pickups”.
Me watching Lemmo: 🤯🤯🤯
Me after watching lemmo: “ I love neck pickups”

Is it true that metal pick guard kinda messes with the pickups? Anyway my god that maple looks amazing with that paint!🍁🎨🤯🔫
have the cobra Blue one, very awesome guitat
Was there ever a Strat made without 6 individual saddles???
Great playing, 👌🏼
Diary of a madman🤘
That doggo is a cutie. Great couch buddy.
dog is like "this isn't nearly as cool as that time Jimmy Paige wandered in to demo a tele."
Very cool innovations, the ones Fender shoulda did in 1982! 😅👍☘️🇺🇦

Guitar Calculus: How many do you need=(N+1), where N is the number of guitars you have right now.
‘Cowboy Chords’ is such a cool term… ☺️
Loved it thanks !
Good job I have one and love it
Sweet loop jam! 👏
Nice playing
that last jam was great
Can we please get a guitar of the day Michael lemmo solo compilation!
Anyone know the first song he plays?
What’s the looper he’s using?
Please give me the name of the first song he's playing...
I have a sunburst ultra sss, but the best part of this video is the dog!!!!
Why is Jenn/Jen never shown on camera?
Just a side issue of sorts - when Brandon said the guitar was chatoyant. Sweet Strat!!
i have one and the Guitar is really great !!!
