Very useful info Mike. I use two of your 'Sayings' to new turners to the club. A.B.C, and if it's nearly sharp, it nearly cuts. So keep pushing them. I have a Wood craft system, which uses the tool holder and the V yoke for the stem. For repeatability, I have a number of dowels, of different lengths, that I sit in the V of the yoke, and Buts up to where the yoke slider goes through the Tightening mechanism. They sit next to the grinder, and takes a second to adjust the yoke distance depending on your tool / angle.
WOW Lots of information in just 20 minutes. A lot that I know and use. Some that I know and had forgotten. And several things that were new to me. An example is Capn Edies angle jig. This video will be viewed again several times so as to cement the ideas in my mind. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
@@MikePeaceWoodturning It was the first individual tool I bought after the Harbor Freight set. I started doing more research after that. I was a beginner, give me a break, lol.
Great Vidio. Thank you for Making it for us to learn and enjoy!
I am glad you found it helpful!

Great job, very comprehensive. Thanks for another excellent video. I have an oval skew that gives me fits when I try and sharpen it. Any suggestions?
Sorry, I do not use an oval skew. I never saw th ebenefit for me. Less mass and as you experience, harder to sharpen.

@@kenvasko2285 No offense intended. Local production turner Nick Cook only uses an oval skew. We all have our weapons of choice.
@@MikePeaceWoodturning None taken. I rarely use it. Are you selling at any shows this year?
