My absolute favorite reverb too Lee...Poly Verb ! Great deal on these guitars...you folks often offer better deals than stores here in the U.S. ! If I ordered from you, the shipping would kill the deal. 😒
Lee, your soloing in the last few months has really taken a step up; and consistently. At 59 I struggle to improve (I am decent) but age and life seem to keep me statically frozen in place in the skills department. I suspect you worked to get better.......so good on you!
Interestingly, the Bridge of Sighs was the last view of Venice that convicts saw before their imprisonment. The bridge's English name was bestowed by Lord Byron in the 19th century suggesting that prisoners would sigh at their final view of beautiful Venice through the window before being taken down to their cell. Thanks Lee, for helping me learn something new(had to look it up) and thanks Pete for the great playing!
My younger sister was a Robert Palmer fan, she was listening to the Riptide album and my Mom heard the song Riptide... she laughed because she used to dance to a song in the 1930's called Riptide by Al Bowlly. She went to the music cabinet and pulled out an old 78 rpm and played it. It was the same song!
I have a Premier SS, but they have since changed them. Mine is ocean turquoise with a suspended tail piece. I like it better than the new version. They're great guitars.
Speaking of Robert Palmer and sick guitar playing, The Powerstation is criminally underrated. Also, I thought the song you were trying to think of was Simply Irresistible.
Addicted to Love. The guitar parts were played by Andy Taylor of Duran Duran (Powell was in The Power Station with him) and Eddie Martinez. It was produced by Bernard Edwards of Chic, who also played Bass.
I've never even played a D'Angelico guitar but if they play as good as they look they must be awesome because they're beautiful also a great deal. I laughed so hard when Lee bashed them together and says even further discounted now!
I recently bought the Mini DC on the last epic deal and also a Tour SS from elsewhere. The Tour SS is made in Korea with supposedly better specs, including Supro pickups and is much more expensive. The Mini DC blows it away both in sound and feel.
Saw Robert Palmer with Elkie Brooks in Vinegar Joe playing live in Leeds. Supposedly he was very annoyed that Elkie got all the attention. Great musician but seemingly petty.
So what you seem to be saying in that vid is that you need to spend the money you save in the epic deal on pedals in order to make the guitars sound good. Epic!
@@sillysausage4549 they are different but how many headstocks can you do? Upside down, small heads, big heads, tele style and worst of all the no headstock guitars etc i think they took the challenge and made a fancy'esque headstock to avoid being sued by gibson and standing out, as far as headstock design it is a required taste.
There's definitely a cost-of-living crisis in the US- but I didn't know the UK was in the same place. Over the last 2 years the cost of living has at least doubled here- and yet wages have barely gone up at all- what they call a cost-of-living adjustment or increase is laughably tiny. And unless something drastic happens and things really improve before the next election- ppl will elect Trump in a knee jerk reaction to this shitty economy. Which imo will only make things 10X worse.
The UK has been in a cost of living crisis since covid lockdown 2020. Some are blaming brexit, some are blaming the Conservative government, and some are blaming the Ukraine war. Personally, I think still being a part of the EU would have made no difference as other European countries are in the same boat. Also, even if a left Labour government wins the next general election, I can't see there being any improvement with the economy for the next 3 years.

I absolutely adore my DAngelico Premier DC. The pickups are amazing. There’s this beautiful dirtiness that just kicks in at the right time that gives such richness to the sound. My favourite guitar Ive ever owned. So versatile. The neck profile is quite flat which just feels perfect to me. I have a red flame top and it’s beautiful.
My d’angelico Premier DC is #1 in my stable of 20+ guitars, including several Gibsons, fenders and “boutique” brands
DAngelico guitars are crazy good value

That's a great album, one I'd forgotten about. Thanks for reminding me - off to buy it again now!

Lee, you were on fire today. Probably my favorite solo of yours.
I recently purchased a D’Angelico Excel Tour and it is truly a tone king, with an amazing neck, and as I had hoped, I can’t put it down.
13:25 Oooh that was lovely
Might as well face it you’re addicted to gear!
Can you guys please start doing these epic deals when I have the spare money instead of always when I can't afford it?! D:

Love the black one 🖤
... the lights are on -- but you're not home
😓 --- beatiful playing BTW
Waiting till they do a Frangelico finish.
Are these the version of this guitar released 3 years ago or are the revamped premier DC that was released before Christmas?
Do cap & dp own half of Yurt rock ? 😉
Addicted to Love -- Eddie Martinez

Much better rug
Agreed. It really ties the room together.
The champagne white is already gone. Yikes.
SoundAffects have a D'ANGELICO 2018 Premier DC Electric in Champagne, Pre-Owned for £419.
Not with that headstock. I'd rather have a Chapman
Your name suits you well 🤔
@deluxeedition46 thanks mate. But c'mon - they look ridiculous

I also think Trump would do a better job than Biden. Looking at the statistics & facts from 2016 to 2020, Trump was the better president of the two.

I don't care if they are the finest guitars EVER made. The headstock is HIDEOUS AND A TOTAL DEAL BREAKER.
Love that intro jam, more jazz inspired stuff please! Guitars look great as well

Just ordered the Black Flake! Great sounding and looking guitars. Looking forward to sounding terrible on this one, as well! 🤣
Amazing intro thank you 😊 nice guitars greets from Austria
Why has Gibson never gone to a one piece tailpiece more stable easier to intonate
You just can’t shift these things can you 😅😅
I love d'angelico guitars but im far from you
Ohhhhhh I need that black double - if only I could play 😂👍
Addicted to love... what a classic!
👍🏻👌🏻
What about your Tom Marceau Déferlante Mr Pete ?😊
Always loved the look of that brand!
