    Hey guys, it’s Liam from Killer Ink, and today I’m excited to be bringing you the Cheyenne SOL Nova Unlimited.
    The Unlimited is the next step in the evolution of Cheyenne’s popular SOL Nova rotary, so let’s take a look at what it has to offer.
    As you can see, the Unlimited looks very similar to the SOL Nova, but with one key omission: the Cheyenne cord connection.
    No Cheyenne cable connection means that the SOL Nova Unlimited has been designed to run wirelessly, and therefore lessen the amount of cables and clutter in your workspace, as well as allowing for maximum freedom of movement.
    Rather than using a power supply, Cheyenne’s new wireless pen-style rotary is powered by a rechargeable battery, which you can find here…
    You’ll receive two batteries with your SOL Nova Unlimited, as well as a charger and cable, so you can easily swap out the first and continue working while your other one is charging.
    Speaking of charging, the Cheyenne SOL Nova Unlimited will take only three hours to fully charge and offer a minimum of five hours running time - so you won’t have to worry about running out of power in the middle of tattooing!
    Operating the SOL Nova Unlimited couldn’t be easier, and it’s all done through a single button and motion control.
    The frequency of the machine can be adjusted quickly and intuitively by holding this button down while tilting the machine. Tilt it up to increase the frequency… and down to decrease…
    The SOL Nova Unlimited has a wide frequency bandwidth that ranges from 25 to 140 Hertz, which makes it perfect for a wide range of different styles. Lower the frequency of the machine for dotwork and realism, and crank it up for fuller and more intense lines.
    The Cheyenne SOL Nova Unlimited has two operating modes: Steady Mode and Responsive Mode, which are similar to the HardDrive and SENSIDRIVE modes offered by Cheyenne’s SOL Luna and SOL Terra rotaries.
    As its name suggests, Steady Mode means that your SOL Nova Unlimited will run at a controlled speed, with no give and a consistent hard hit.
    With Responsive Mode, the frequency and hit of the machine will adjust depending on the surface you’re tattooing, with the overall purpose of the mode to emulate give.
    The SOL Nova Unlimited is quiet to run with minimum vibration, which is typical for the latest Cheyenne machines, and offers adjustable needle depth from 0 to 4.0 millimetres.
    As with the SOL Nova before it, the Unlimited version is powered by a brushless DC motor and has a 3.5 millimetre stroke length, making it ideal for precise lining, as well as soft shading.
    The Cheyenne SOL Nova Unlimited is easy to cover and wrap for hygiene purposes and is compatible with the brand’s disposable Round and One Inch D-Grips.
    In terms of measurements, the SOL Nova Unlimited has a 33 millimetre diameter and a length of 125 millimetres. The rotary weighs in at 152 grams without the battery and 184 grams with it included.
    Manufactured in Germany according to medical standard, the Cheyenne SOL Nova Unlimited is now available to order from Killer Ink via the link in the description below.
    So now that you’ve seen the SOL Nova Unlimited, what do you think of Cheyenne’s latest rotary? Are you on-board with wireless tattooing? Let us know in the comments below, and don’t forget to hit that like button and subscribe to our UA-cam channel!

    I loved mine until it just died one month after the 12 month warranty. Cheyenne told me they cannot repair the snu they can only replace for an additional $460. I have $200 wireless machines from amazon that lasted longer than my snu. Terrible service to deal with aswell.

    Is there a way to find out from Cheyenne if they are planning on creating a Battery power pack that will fit into the Original Sol Nova ?
    I'm thinking of trying to convert a Rocket battery RCA to female 3.5 instead of tampering with the Sol Nova, but would really like a batt pack that can be plugged in as pleases (not with tilt tho) just some nice buttons and a digital read out please 👍

    • @KillerInkTattooEU
      @KillerInkTattooEU  3 роки тому

      Hi, lithium-ion batteries usually last up to 2-3 years if taken care of properly. The SOL Nova Unlimited is powered by a Panasonic NCR18500A cell battery. If you need more than the two batteries supplied, you can obtain them from your local battery shop.

      The Cheyenne SOL Nova Unlimited will take three hours to fully charge and will offer a minimum of five hours running time.

    What is the difference between 3.5, 4.0, and now 5.0mm stroke, really ?
    Thx in advance ! 🤟🏻

    • @KillerInkTattooEU
      @KillerInkTattooEU  Рік тому +1

      Hi Sam, all the machines perform the same and have the same features, so it's only the stroke length that's the difference. Stroke length preference varies from person to person. There are many factors on which stroke length to choose, whether it’s the cartridge configurations you use, your hand speed or your style.
      In general however, the 3.5 is suitable for lining and shading, the 4.0 is ideal for bold lines and colour packing, and the 5.0 is great for crisp lines and large scale saturations.
