Thanks. No cut gloves worth it. The flashing moving against wiring or hoses worries me. My 2018 I have had 6 months. 175k miles. wet and moldy air filter. Your experiences shared are helping me fix this.
Hi we are experiencing the same issues on the Transit, there are Ford parts that are available to help in manage the problem but will not completely solve the issue , they are end caps for the gutter, part no's 1927680 and 1936723,
POsted three years ago and forever useful. I think the MK6 has the same or similar issues with water run off and drain blockages. My clutch was FULL of water when I got it because of these issues. So while I've cleared it all, I'm not thinking of doing a complete design change for heavy rain, which is what I get. Bigger drain holes, bigger gutters and bigger drain hoses should solve the issue.
3/4 in tubibf from the gutters to below. easy. But, where do you think the water goes from the front in a raging rainstorm while on the expressway? everywhere.
Thanks for the video!! I´m having a similar problem with a 2010 Ford Transit, with massive paddles of rain water and its seems to be something like this but the water is diverted somehow inside underneath passenger and drivers area from behind the dashboard. If you have any ideas of how to fix this would aweosome!! Cheers!
I have the exact same issue with a 2015 t-250 that fried the ECU. A truly unforgivable design to drain all the water form the windscreen onto the electronics... More and more I wish I never bought Ford.

same issue here, the water leaking to engine bay, caused the turbo rust away and fail after 90 000km,

Thanks for going into such detail and explaining your logic! I'll have to add this to the list of preventative tasks

Many thanks for that effort 👍
Great vid!

See the fix by Armor Tech a few comments below. I just put the tubes on mine. Thank you for your video!
the real world fix is a hose from the cowl drain to keep the water away from the ECM harness 5/8 heater hose works great
Brilliant video thank you. 👌
Thanks for video. Got the same problem. Great van. Just have to fix this problem.
Good video!

It’s more ridiculous design from Ford, the need to fire the designers of this drainage system
Has anyone found a replacement part or 3d printer part that can be fitted to fix this without doing a dyi fix?
Had one of these in the shop today, water was getting in and fouling out one of the coil packs, ended up replacing the cowl and the ignition coil
Ford stock price crashed 18 percent today largely due to high warranty repair costs....
Sorry omitted to say I live in England.
