In my opinion that's not "a fix" it's a make do. Problems like this should never happen in the first place, it's a design fault. Ford should be made to recall every Transit Mk8 regardless of age.
I went to the Ford dealership with mine and showed them the problem with the gap on scuttle grill badly fitted and they replaced it under warranty. I do have the drip tray but it you get it sorted you not need the tray😊

Just had all 4 injectors changed, 2019 24,500 miles £1400 Ford paid half plus a free service had to fight to get that though.
