Nah; Thor was originally bothered when he thought someone else could lift his hammer. But he also felt it as a sign of trust. It's just at that moment, he'd have died if Cap wasn't worthy.
Vision was a machine. He wasn't worthy, he just wasn't on that spectrum at all. But he also didn't get the powers of Thor. I assume Peter Parker could have lifted the hammer, too. Possibly a few others. In the comics, many have.
Tony was worthy but MCU thought Tony is too much powerful even without a Thor's power. If he will possess that also, he will be clearly the most terrifying villain of the century
I loved how there wasn't any cheesy or cliche lines during this fight. They just went at it. Thanos could've stopped a couple times to say something out of a typical villain dictionary.
This is a brilliant contrast between Red Skull and Captain America. Schmidt was willing to commit countless atrocities to attain the power of the gods; he lost everything and was cursed to guard an infinity stone for millennium. Rogers was always pure of heart, and his actions were based on pure principle and rigid morality. In his hour of greatest need, he was given the power of the God of thunder.
If you go back to Age of Ultron, when the Avengers are taking turns trying to lift Mjolnir, you can see it move ever so slightly when Cap makes his attempt. Thor looks genuinely concerned, and Steve pretends he can’t lift it because he’s such a good guy and at that time Thor was basing a large portion of his identity on being the only entity worthy of Mjolnir.
The fact that Thanos can take multiple lightning strikes and still fight like nothing happened. For comparison, a lightning's average voltage is 300 million volts, which could power the entirety of Manhattan.
Bro! in the comics he literally survived a black hole, a black hole is the strongest natural phenomena in the universe, a few lightening strikes can't do sh*t to Thanos.

Im not impressed he picked up the hammer :p if you put the hammer on a elevator and it moves up is the elevator worthy? Vision answered that question haha
And this is why Thanos was so damn badass; he adjusted his strategy, mid-fight and used Caps battle tactics against him- quick strikes, body blows meant to wear an opponent down- while rendering one if Caps weapons in attack and defense almost useless. MCU did a damn good job in crafting this character in full
Also don't forget Thanos stuck his blade on Caps leg. It's a recall from Civil War when Spider-Man fights Cap and and told cap Iron Man told him to go for the legs which is Caps weakness.
tailedgates9 I believe it’s the opposite. Thanos in the comics was always much more powerful than Thor or Hulk and people are just angry because Thor or Hulk did poorly against him while Captain Marvel, who is a mid tier in comics, did so well. So they are trying their best to find random reasons, which have all been vetoed by the Russos, as to why they lost. The Russos said Thanos is more powerful than any of the MCU heroes besides Captain Marvel and Wanda and while I am a bit sad that they nerfed Thor and Hulk in comparison to mid tiers like Giant Man and Captain Marvel, I am at least happy they accurately portrayed how a fight between Thor and Thanos or Hulk and Thanos would go and didn’t nerf Base Thanos as in IW.
@Gus McCrae if they brought black widow back that means there is no soul stone which means no one comes back to life. If you bring iron man back to life the whole universe will be dead cause thanos would kill the avengers get the stones and kill all of the universe instead half.

Far more force than that. IW Iron Man blocked a power stone beam. The power stone casually destroyed a planet in GotG 1. Thor also took the force of a star in IW

The sword was at his feet and Stormbreaker got knocked away by Mjolnir. As Thanos stood up, he grabbed the sword from the ground. It might be a goof, but it's easily explainable.
He places it down next to Thor to hold stormbreaker as it’s coming, gets knocked & decides to grab it again to attend to Cap. It’s obviously NOT a goof. Some people just don’t notice him place it down to have “TWO HANDS” on the axe to KILL Thor.
Yeah ironically if he had swept for the legs while Thanos was defending up top from the others, Thor could have probably easily dismembered Thanos. But he kept aiming up top along with everyone else so Thanos hardly ever had to adjust.
I think the best part about this scene is the excited look Thor has when he says "I knew it!" Because unlike in Age of Ultron when he sees Cap move the hammer ever so slightly, he looks worried. At that point he was still so emotionally attached to Mjolnir and being worthy, it scared him to think someone else might be worthy too. But at this moment in Endgame, he has no doubt about his worthiness because he was able to summon it during the time heist and has it here. "If we can't protect the Earth, you can be damn sure we'll Avenge it" RIP Iron Man
@Gus McCrae if they brought black widow back that means there is no soul stone which means no one comes back to life. If you bring iron man back to life the whole universe will be dead cause thanos would kill the avengers get the stones and kill all of the universe instead half.
Without Strange and Wong for 5 years they did the time heist. Can't Good Chi magic revive all who died after thor kills thanos? Maybe all humans make their hearts one to believe in magic?
This is exactly why I hate time travel in movies. You can literally undo anything. Endgame was alright, I just had more fun with infinity war.
@@punisherhulk7031????? there is time travel in the marvel comics also.

Tbh, I was a little heartbroken when Cap's shield shattered. It was with him for a really long time, and to have it hacked apart was like seeing your best friend fade into dust.
Well its just a round piece of metal, its not that hard to recreate it.

One of the greatest scenes in comic book movie history, the feeling when captain America gets mjolnir is still chilling 🤣🫡
Notice how Cap's last move was a kick. He kicked Thanos. It didn't' even tickle him lmao. That's why he knew he needed the hammer. He realized he really was no match for him.

I think it still mildly hurt Thanos
when cap wield the hammer, he posses the power of thor, including the strength of thor, that is why when cap kicking thanos while weilding mjolnir are more and more effective than without the hammer.
@@ShahJr7 Damn I'm surprised he didn't beat Thanos. 2 Thors fighting him lol...I guess fat Thor was made to be pretty weak tho

ChickenTendersAreOk nah but that would create plot holes like what happened to Rhodes, Rocket and Scott hulk was holding up the entire building so it wouldn’t come crashing down on them and I highly doubt hulk would get anywhere close to beating this thanos this hulk is more banner than hulk banner wouldn’t know how to beat thanos after just one encounter with him professor hulk would get his ass handed to him

Cause lightning would take months to kill a titan you dumbass
@@thejoxter6315 a stupid ass comment by a stupid ass person lmao
Cause Thor dumb
I love the fact that Tony realized that the Mark VI, despite being a more primitive design, could take the might of Thor’s lightning so when he designed the Mark 85, he incorporated that into it. That’s 1.21 gigawatts of power just smashing into Thanos.
Unfortunately, the suit still cannot take a direct hit from the hammer. :(
Far more force than that. IW Iron Man blocked a power stone beam. The power stone casually destroyed a planet in GotG 1. Thor also took the force of a star in IW
Not much of a advantage when Thor could simply shot the lightning directly on the target. If Tony attacked from one side while Thor attacked from another it would be much more affective ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .
But even tho he had 1.21 Gigawatts he still needed the speed of over 88 Miles per hour to travel through time
@@BurnSchulz Don't forget about the flux capacitor
I'd never heard an actual collective gasp as when Cap held Mjolnir in theatre. Every single person in the theatre had their inner child screaming out in joy, as they sat in silence and anticipation for the beatdown that was about to come.

I have watched this scene like a billion times!
And yet, goosebumps!
Every.single.time.
I just noticed a continuity goof. Thanos at 1:00 is holding Stormbreaker, and after he's hit, he's suddenly holding his Double Sided Sword. Whatever...
Someone made this comment 7 months ago. He probably just picked up his sword after the mjolnir attack knocked storm breaker out of his hand. But it looks more like a continuity error sooooo idkkk
@@pepperdayjackpac4521 Well, old news for some, new to me. No matter. Does not take away from a really fun and solid conclusion to this wonderful chapter. Thank you.
The sword was at his feet and Stormbreaker got knocked away by Mjolnir. As Thanos stood up, he grabbed the sword from the ground. It might be a goof, but it's easily explainable.
I only just noticed that this time. And I’ve seen this movie nearly a half dozen times
He places it down next to Thor to hold stormbreaker as it’s coming, gets knocked & decides to grab it again to attend to Cap. It’s obviously NOT a goof. Some people just don’t notice him place it down to have “TWO HANDS” on the axe to KILL Thor.
What I really like about this scene is Cap's use of both shield and hammer together, not as two different weapons.
I never noticed that Thor literally goes for his head with EVERY attack!! Lmao
And probably why Thanos was able to deflect him because of predictable consistency.
Yeah ironically if he had swept for the legs while Thanos was defending up top from the others, Thor could have probably easily dismembered Thanos. But he kept aiming up top along with everyone else so Thanos hardly ever had to adjust.
Thor LITERALLY swings TWICE in this fight. And neither show indications of targeting solely the head.
@@TheSCPStudio ah someone who only watches clips
he should've gone for anywhere, until he had the infinity gauntlet, then go for the head.

@@Omni315 wouldn't have made sense
They want to cut him off thanos head, theyre angry as fuck
For what?fly away?
I think the best part about this scene is the excited look Thor has when he says "I knew it!"
Because unlike in Age of Ultron when he sees Cap move the hammer ever so slightly, he looks worried. At that point he was still so emotionally attached to Mjolnir and being worthy, it scared him to think someone else might be worthy too. But at this moment in Endgame, he has no doubt about his worthiness because he was able to summon it during the time heist and has it here. And if there's any time for Thor to be happy someone else is worthy of wielding it, it would definitely be when he thinks he's about to die and that's the only thing that saves him.
And then love and thunder
People underrating Thanos
He kicked ass of two Thors and one Iron Man
yeah these 2 avengers movies go on thanos and thanos alone, they needed to have him as a fucking wrecking ball with NO peer. Almost had it, til Captain Feminism had to come in and show how good she is at swallowing Feige's DNA to get her "Im teh strongest11!!!111" shit. “Back then” was only 4 years before the 2018 IW one. For someone as old as Thanos, that’s negligible.

I agree, but what's the problem in your opinion with the movie? I'm curious to see if we are thinking the same.
@@hristijandimitrovski8664Coming back to this comment after so long, haha!
To me, the problem was always how this was handled. Time travel has its issues, especially when you try and mix versions. (Loki series really made it worse when they tried to use it to justify it), but I feel its biggest flaw was how the stones stopped being anything more than a set. Hell, the Spirit Stone came with the worst cost, yet its only power was ‘complete the collection’. Lol just a lot of small grievances that kept it from being as perfect as Infinity War was to me.
@@kyuubifox33 this looks like literally my comment. This felt like you already know what I was thinking. For me Endgame was definitely great movie, top 2-3 MCU movie for sure in my opinion, but I definitely don't agree with many people who think that this is the best MCU movie ever and literally ypu mentioned the most badis reasons. That thing with time machine was soo strange to me and I know that this is Marvel, they aren't supposed to be realistic, but for me Endgame was too much.
