Is this still recommended even with the budget of 200 bucks? I'm a newbie and just want a clean looking, clean sounding, not that deep and muted, but a clean deep clack
The next step up would be the ~$150 entry keyboards like the zoom65, qk65, etc. so this is a good budget keyboard for $99. A great budget switch like the ktt roses can be bought for ~$25, especially since you said you wanted a more “clackier” sound profile. Then just pair those with a keycaps of your choosing and this set up would easily fit within your $200 budget.
saw this quite a few times this year, and it does look more tempting than ik75 pro. Didn't know it was Akko's sub-brand, might as well grab such a deal specially for that cnc alu case. Thanks for the video!
@@HoodSwami oof, quite the blow for your pockets XD I hope you get the best of both boards and see what'd be more satisfying, it'd be awesome to hear abt
Yo, Im new to the channel, do you have a sound test of the, GoPolar Yin switches? I’m trying to find thocky switches for my promise 87TKL coming in soon.
Hey CG I just bought this board on Jan 23rd, but I have no idea when its arriving and I don't know how to track my purchase. Could you please share your experience with monsgeek shipping and package tracking?
FYI, I got my first M1 in ~ 7days (DHL) after placing the order (early Jan). I placed a second order just before Chinese New Year and am still waiting for it to be shipped. There's a support email address you can try to get some update (or Discord). They do reply in about a day. Hope this help.
@@fongf It does help a lot thank you. I placed my order before chinese new year and my order is still processing. I am glad to know that I am not the only one experiencing this.
Not necessarily. One is metal, one is not. This is also 1.5x the price. Most people would probably rather have the M1 though. If you don’t have any metal case boards, M1 is a good option. If you already have others and don’t necessarily want to try out metal, then V1 is cheaper I don’t know what the plates are made of, but plate material could also be something to compare (edit: M1 is PC & V1 is steel, so a point to M1 in most people’s eyes, and the M1 has 10USD options for POM/FR4/Aluminium) Edit: didn’t know V1 was tray-mount. I’d definitely go with M1 then for gaskets
i'd recommend the m1, for only $25 more you're getting screw in stabs, a full metal case, more color options and its gasket mounted opposed to the v1 being tray mount
Hey personally for me, if your more on a budget, get the monsgeek 100%. But if your willing to spend more, get the keychron as it has more capability’s such as quality and south facing leds.
I've built both and honestly I could never get a keychron keyboard to sound deep even with mods sadly, I do have a video with a modded m1 that I built for a friend if you're interested, built it to be poppy but deep sounding 👍
Dude, there has been something going on with the UA-cam algorithm lately. You are another one of the channels that I was sitting around thinking about how it had been a while since I saw a new video post. So come to find out, just not showing up on my feed. Somehow I got unsubbed from you too because I had notifications about when you would release a new video.
you make good content but please just stop the "CG Mod" stuff bro it's super cringe. Using a new material as foam is nothing like inventing a new mod :'(
@@CGBuild well that's some good news. Sorry I don't follow recent video I guess, just remember that shit whenever I see a video of yours pop up and hell yeah that need to change
so buying this board in purple sounds good. 8 months late lol. Gave a like.
Cannot wait to snag this board oh my god just for a 100 bucks is nuts

monsgeek m1, akko mod007v2, and qk75. cant go wrong with 3 of those
yes i reccomend this, and for that clacky switch, get some gateron oil kings and lube them. They sound MAJESTIC.
@@HITMAN80g mod007 isn’t QMK/VIA/VIAL compatible, but QK75 & Monsgeek are good recommendations

I got an ik75 like a week before I found out about the m1 lol. Just got my m1 yesterday🫣

Great video and great board.
But that os switch under the caps is a huge pain in the *** as someone who work on mac own pc at home😢
Also hooowww did you not put the decepticons caps on here with the lavender board
It didn’t look good honestly 😂 I tried both I promise
what is the main difference between this and the akko mod 007s v2?
the name like literally the name
M1 has south facing sockets and VIA/QMK compability
color way reminds me of GMK Bento
I think if u buy the black version, than take of the top piece and spraypaint it, ooooh that would look nice. Maybe some drak red. OOOOooooooooooooooh
DOOGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😍

Nice! would you recommend this over the keychron v1??

Yeah but personally it’s just because the v1 is so bland imo but both are really good boards
