The game is great, one of the best TBS out there, especially for post-apocaliptic fans, but i just don't like the art style in this one. Wasteland 2 had this certain look and feel, like a proper post-apocaliptic game. It oozed personality and the UI also fit the theme. Anyway, just my opinion, but i liked the art style and feel of W2 more than this one. GG Mack, nice to see you playing more TBS games.

I love this game. I’m 20 hours in and not even a quarter of the way through (I just got passed the Reagan village). It is a very slow game and the combat is quite challenging. I spent a whole hour trying to take down these bandit camps in Denver it was hard af, really fun though!

Might wait on this one, they came out with a much-improved Wasteland 2 Directors Cut about a year after release. My guess is they’ll do the same to this one.
Been playing this game, enjoying it, one thing though is I dont really feel I am in a wasteland. I have tons of guns, tons of ammo, tons of health kits, tons of future sci fi weapons etc etc (this is on hard). There is no real feeling of having to scrape and improvise and survive in a harsh environment etc.
This game was BUGGED at launch and still has most bugs in now a month on. The patches have done little to fix issues on PC, being mostly targeted at sorting out console issues (which were even worse by all accounts) As I write this the game has been out exactly a month and hasn't been improved very much for PC players. Saves vanishing (requiring a complete game restart) Items disappearing Quests not being completable Very long load times - 3+ minutes sometimes - on a new SSD drive - that's not a "feels like 3 minutes" that's a real 3 minutes that feels like quarter of an hour. You might hard reset your system assuming the game has crashed it takes that long. I did once. these issues are single player. Co-Op is a complete mess and pretty much unplayable/
I'm going to be 'that guy' and point out that it would be more appropriate to say "Fallout is very Wasteland-y" rather than the reverse, as Wasteland predates Fallout by 9 years. Those of us who are old enough remember thinking that.
I played and streamed for 73 hours, didn't get a single crash, bug. Glad i'm on lucky side on this one, enjoying a lot more than i imagined and they honestly ramp their quality compared to wastelands2 Fargo is a hero we need, hope he will be more active in future.
I play it on steam on a 1070 and I'm not having very many bugs. Im15 hours in and once every couple hours the game lags for only a few seconds. It's great btw!
I can remember Battlezone1 (now enhanced) had a 300MB install and if you never had a 'Voodoo' card you could use a software renderer. Now games get shipped with more bugs than the original ' Vampire, masquerade.. bloodlines. Cyberpunk has blew it. BG 3 sells as early access and will take over a year till a final version which may or may not need more patches. Gamers are being kidded shelling out for in dev games, some will not make a final release. It's all gone titz up.
I can tell you didn't play the Xbox version, because it crashes every 20 mins or so. Love the game but it needs fixing. Not worth full price right now.
It's not Wastelands 3 it's Wasteland 3. Not trying to be a jerk, its just that, if you're watching a review of a game, it's easier to take it seriously when the reviewer gets the title of the game right - constructive criticism.
To be Honest mate with a 2080 super a 3900x, 16 gigs of ram and a pretty quick M.2 drive frame rate in combat is still really poor. However game is great. Oh and love the channel

Too expensive for me. In the past, Console games have been more expensive than PC games due to the nature and structure of the Console marketplace. Now some companies charge the same price for both.
LOL the mad axeman , sounds about right ;)
I love this game. I’m 20 hours in and not even a quarter of the way through (I just got passed the Reagan village). It is a very slow game and the combat is quite challenging. I spent a whole hour trying to take down these bandit camps in Denver it was hard af, really fun though!
thats like Fallout 1 & 2...both very easy games to get destroyed on
I have always loved your outro music.
He’s about to be so disappointed in Mafia Remake
The more loot ya get, the more money ya get. The more rep you got the more heat ya get!
what do you think which is the best game among these? Wasteland 3, Gears tactics or Phoenix point. Didnt play any of these and thinking to play just one, maybe two. Thx
Well, you can take the Game Pass at 1eur (or 4e) and test/play all three ?
“Crit” sounds dirty
The more fights you get, the more loot you get, the more loot you get the more rep you get. HEAT FROM THE COPS!
Mack you DO realize that this game is a Masterpiece. And will go down in history as 1 of the All-Time Greatest series EVER in the TBS genre. Just figured i would point that out to ya. Love ya
Great review Mack. Really entertaining. Thanks for all your efforts.
Mac, if you like this type of game - Silent Storm is a must play. Older title but with fully destructible 3d environments.
Might wait on this one, they came out with a much-improved Wasteland 2 Directors Cut about a year after release. My guess is they’ll do the same to this one.
If you penetrate the enemy's ring.. he is definitely going to know you're there.
80$ canadian bux is way too much. I wouldve bought it instantly for 50$
I guess I'll wait for a sale
Game pass is also getting ck3. Definitely a good time to subscribe.
Great vid Mack! As always!!!
The patches have done little to fix issues on PC, being mostly targeted at sorting out console issues (which were even worse by all accounts)
As I write this the game has been out exactly a month and hasn't been improved very much for PC players.
Saves vanishing (requiring a complete game restart)
Items disappearing
Quests not being completable
Very long load times - 3+ minutes sometimes - on a new SSD drive - that's not a "feels like 3 minutes" that's a real 3 minutes that feels like quarter of an hour.
You might hard reset your system assuming the game has crashed it takes that long. I did once.
these issues are single player. Co-Op is a complete mess and pretty much unplayable/

i love this review and like the game and its a no brainer on game pass thanks for reviewing it Mack
Already bought and am enjoying it
Is it possible to grind those random encounters for experience and loot or is the game difficulty set in stone?
If you like Fallout and Pokémon chances are you’ll probably love this
I'll be purchasing this game when they get the Coop fixed.
Is it worth a beeeeeey... let's read... the words, the words the words, thr words, the words, *hiccup*..... of the developer. I love this channel
I think the game is now complete with the 2nd dlc out earlier this month?
I want a mafia/mob version of this so bad.
Closest thing to this is empire of sin, it's pretty fun but very reparative. Depends what you like I guess but check it out!
Gona be giving this a go tonight, I’ve never really played turn based, will see how I get on
1:29 well actually you played Wasteland 2 and reviewed it..
Wasteland 2 Directors Cut has been a great game.
Great to see this one, hoping to get your thoughts on CKIII before release please!!
I can tell you didn't play the Xbox version, because it crashes every 20 mins or so. Love the game but it needs fixing. Not worth full price right now.
really? i haven't had any issues yet but i have heard of some ppl who have, might wait for a patch
@@Iggsy81 It's a buggy mess tbh
Hi Mack. Been a sub for 7 years.
For the love of god it's Wasteland, not Wastelands
Hyped for Crusader Kings. Don't shit on my dreams 🙏
I'll wait for a deep discount then buy it.
Sounds like it's best to wait for a patch or two, maybe even a GPU driver update as well.
