iPod nano is no good as if there is issue (battery for example), it's super painful to repair

your realy only going to use these as music players these days the mini and the 4th gen have monochrome displays witch are easily readable when the backlight is off and you can flash mod them for up to 128GB, definitely worth considering these days

personally I'm not a fan of 'square' devices like smartwatches, I need bigger like nano size, which means 5th gen or later gens are the best Nano aside from first generation. The square 'shuffle' is annoying and having something that small size for the nano model as a square, is that its easier to lose and harder to 'fish' out. I prefer the click wheel over touch screen anyday. I hate touch screen because all kinds of wrong things happen because its outside of your control using software to predict for you instead of the mistake being directly from your own misclick like on a computer screen
The best ipod is 'both' classic ipod and the ipod nano because the classic ipod can play video and imo, the ipod line should never die and should continue to improve.
The ipod nano doesn't need much change but the ipod video needs a bigger screen and slightly smaller click wheel near the center or lower half, while having other buttons in the free space. .
Being able to use 4 buttons in cardinal directions has high potential because its literally a remote going up/down or left/right like a remote control or mouse with left/right button and side up/down buttons for going forward/backward, except on a wheel that gives you the visual of cardinal directions, its far more intuitive and easier to navigate.
With touch screen, you have to swipe but you have less control, with click wheel, you can swivel down with thumb AND control the speed unlike the touchscreen. With touchscreen you just swipe and it uses less energy but if you tend to 'overshoot' the scroll speed. With click wheel you have more pinpoint accuracy to get what you want and the speed of scrolling is the same but requires more thumb energy, but its worth the freedom of control rather than laziness and convenience.
I only bought the first gen nano, and I'm tempted to get either gen 5 or 7 or 8, so I'm doing my research. The classic is fine the way it is at 30-60 gb.
People may think 60 is too much but it really isn't. Tons of classical music symphonies and orchestra are well over 20-40 min long, and the quality of the mp3 sometimes determines the file size. And then there's soundtracks of every genre out there from old to slightly old to current to new.
There's pop/rock/rap/hiphop , and then there's video game OST, tv show/movie OST, anime ost. There's playlists I've always wanted to make based on different moods/atmosphere including battle music or 'songs that are a prequel to an intense fight' playlist.
The only next issue is the ease of use of customizing in apple library software , plugging the mp3 device to the computer.
Thanks to the belt clip case for my nano, I was able to stick the clip part into my wrist watch strap and the nano's weight isn't even noticeable so it was very fun.
However as stated the battery life is trash, active listening gives 2hrs if not slightly more, but if its not nonstop use, probably 4-6 hours of battery life.
Can you suggest me an authentic site where I can find ipod classic 7th generation?
I would suggest eBay and I would also suggest the 5th Gen over the 7th gen.
