Zhiyun has just announced their all new Zhiyun Smooth Q4 - the smaller brother to the Smooth 5. For this video I was truly putting the smartphone gimbal through its paces. I was shooting this video with my iPhone 13 Pro and the Smooth Q4 in all of the different modes. The Smooth Q4 is performing extremely well, and I think this is the smoothes gimbal that I have ever used! Make sure to checkout the full BTS Video here:

when in pan mode my q4 with the iphone is tilted while in landscape orientation..should it be like that? i don't know what's the problem

Hello Julian, I was thinking about the q3, but I'm glad I waited! Judging by its design, I feel you can do a proper crane shot with the Q4, where you can hold it from behind rather than holding it from its side like the dji om 5. Is that correct?
It also seems that the tilt has a larger range than the dji.
Btw, the final video was outstanding!

Good evening! For a long time I could not choose between dji 6 and Zhiyun Smooth Q4 Combo. As a result , I ordered Zhiyun .I don't know if I made the right choice? I have an iPhone 11 about max, my daughter has an iPhone 12. Tell me, is it possible to switch to the main camera during recording?

don't think so- but it is super easy to attach/detach - no need to worry here
it is not better to use a monopod to connect the gimbal?
this extension pole is actually really solid - I liked using it. No monopod needed here

Hi Julian, I am using the Zhiyun Smooth 4, it is my first gimbal and I find it very good indeed, the only problem I have is when I turn the gimbal upside down, to film low angle shots, when I play back the video on my computer, the shots are upside down as well, I find this very frustrating, am I using the wrong settings on my I Phone 13 pro. New subscriber here buddy.
Hey, thanks fot the nice comment. Just flip the video 180 degrees in post, no big deal, that‘s what you get with every gimbal :)

What you fail to mention is that there is an annual fee to use the full version of the software needed to use this gimbal.
That is needed to use this gimbal? I don‘t use that app and I am using it just fine.. also this vieeo was shot without the zhiyun app
