Great story Liam. With so many years that have passed its like the whole city is a different place now. Theres no mob guys or anything. I liked it better back in the 80's
Interesting piece. I had the pleasure of serving Carmine court papers at his Cleveland , OH scrap yard several years ago. Interesting experience to say the least.
Many years ago, I was a Cop in the City and was patrolling the junk yards near the old Shea stadium in Queens. I was working out of the 110 Pct and that area was just disgusting and known for drugs, prostitution and mafia chop shops and lots more. Agnello was known well by everyone in the area especially by my fellow cops and OCCB. Well one night my partner and I arrested a young guy for being in possession of many (like 200) stolen air bags. Back then that was a big deal. Well long story short the kid we arrested wanted no part of jail and he decided to cooperate. He was working for Agnello and He was actually a really nice kid and I felt bad for him having gotten mixed up with Carmine. Well in a short period of time high ranking members of OCCB which stands for Organized crime control Bureau showed up and took over the arrest, which is the usual procedure. Well, My partner and I never saw the kid again and it wasnt until years later that I was told that the kid led them to a treasure trove of incriminating stuff on Agnello. Included was the bugs that were planted all over his operation and eventually caught Carmine on tape with many different Prostitutes and the tapes were eventually shown to his wife Victoria. But I had no involvement after that and Im happy it went that way.
Its funny you said that. Ive been approached to write stories about my years doing that. The problem is back then we were kinda like gangsters too. The city was like that back then. It might show me and my partners in a compromising light.
@@johnnyc5587 fair enough mate. Could take the Hollywood approach.....this story is inspired some maybe truth that might not have happened, hahaha. Or a "faction" book. I looked into the "Growing Up Gotti Mansion" the last time they listed it & I think doing a Deep Dive into that place would be right up your alley, Mr. Nadu. Something that stuck out to me was what Mr. Agnello paid for the place. It was "pennies on the dollar" type shit because that property was absolutely stunning. Guest House had the faux bookshelf door that went into the "Secret Room" as we saw on here when the "Urban Explorers" visited it during it's final decay.

Vicki and her kids had a house down the street from me. Her 3 sons started a fight with a neighbor's 14 year old son and all three got their asses kicked and chased home. MJ23 is my all time favorite I’m 42 and you would probably make fun of my Jordan shoe collection for an old guy. I respect BIGGIe and love his music but I would have a portrait of 2Pac next to my MJ pic if I did your setup. Haha would like to hear more about your knowledge of the Russians up in Brighton and Staton linking up with the Italians taking/giving tributes etc. I know ridiculous amount of Soviet to current Russian Federation military history and MOB families from the former Soviet States operating here in the USA and global. I was born here 3rd generation now. Hope to hear back from you thanks for the entertainment!

Did you see the show by Victoria Gotti on lifetime? It's actually about her life and her father. It was actually pretty good. It was kind of a movie with her narrating about her life.

I loved this! Do you know if they still own that house in LI? Did all the money dry up?
The mansion was abandoned. If you search YT under Gotti mansion people have posted videos about the house and it’s in disrepair. I think the feds own it now.
@@deenyc718 Thanks. I knew it was abandoned but wasn’t sure who owned it. When did they move out? I am surprised She didn’t sell it before the bottom dropped out on her.
