These two just mesh together so well. Love them! The stories are just UNBELIEVABLE and unheard-of. I never get tired of listening to the bad ass @michaelfranzese. 😂
It's a classic unforgettable movie .chaz wrote an i think directed it . He is amazing . Great to see him in everything he plays . Was watching a older mob movie about when he was mob boss everything he is in I've watched
I'm not a criminal. I don't know any wise guys, but a admire both Chaz and Michael because they are using their life experiences to do good in this world and there is something to be said for that.
"Do you know who I am?" Doesn't fly because it's a bluff. If he was important would not ask that question because people would know who he was already. "Do you know who I'm with?" Is okay because it's genuine and humble. It means "I'm not important, but I'm a friend of somebody important." Authenticity and humility is respected as a result. Great lesson there. Thanks guys. I learn a lot from you two every time I listen. Palminteri and Franzese, what a combo!
A retired ATF friend was assigned quite a while in NYC . A lady in his apartment was always alone so he and his wife invited her to dinner. The restaurant staff was very attentive to their every need- enough that it was noticed by him. Later he learned she was the spouse of a known Made Guy. No doubt he had to write up a CYA report.
Chazz, i would love to see you talk a bit about your voice acting roles. I'm very curious about how you came to voice act in Call of Duty Black Ops 2. Also Hoodwinked! which is one of my favorite animated films.
Great video Chazz. I love listening to Michael talk. His voice is therapeutic and relaxing. It’s crazy to think that he spent a good portion of his life hanging around and dealing with hardcore criminals and serial killers.
Well.. he was a hardcore criminal etc. he just doesn’t talk about it like that, because the deeds are not yet time-barred. Always keep it in mind. They did what they had to do.
I still remember catching A Bronx Tale late at night many years ago, it's a great film and really left an impression on me. I still remember nice little moments like waiting to see if a woman will open a car door for you.
Now it's 'Will a woman leave the door to a store open for you if you're behind them?' Some women will keep door open for you, others will let door slam in your face as they walk through first.
My old timers God bless there souls ...one of the first things they taught me was never mention any of their names ,just act cool and let them know what happen when I see them in person
Loved the chat and the connection between you two. One thing did make me feel very sad. That was when you said those that say I can’t do it I have nothing… you say to them I don’t want to hear it. Look at this guy… Michael is so different to those people. He was born into a crime family which provided all he needed and gave him a great life style and ten million life’s worth of great stories to tell and character to be. Yes he then did jail time. And was lucky enough to to meet the woman he loves. Which brought about his change to life. Even his jail stores he tells of great moments of luck. But after getting out he then had a great story to tell that the worlds wanted to hear. Most others from that life are dead now so he’s the top dog. Even in the life he was lucky from the gas money man approaching him. All this together makes for one fascinating story that has made him millions. Yes well done to him. But please please don’t compare this to someone born into nothing at all. Where nothing happened. Other than they were poor had nothing to do and were given not one single break in life. Or any they did get was of tiny significance. They grow up and had super low end jobs and could never make any money even if they stayed in just to pay the rent and not waste money. So they never really get to meet anyone outside of their apartment and even get to see the lucky breaks. They have no money, just work, pay rent, work, pay rent… Or for some unemployed pay rent.. They have no story nothing to sell. Just nothing. Do you see the difference. It’s not right to compare those people to Michael or even yourself. You had a great father, then the mob hit you saw to give you the story, then deniro.. Yes you make your life from that. But life gave you that to make something from. It’s really not right to say if Michael or we can do this anyone can. Michael led an extraordinary life. Those you say ‘I don’t want to hear it’ That’s the problem no does. Because they have nothing worth hearing. But I think they are the ones that deserve an ear all the more. Yet Michael will have literally millions more ears for his next pod cast. They will still have none. It’s and unfair comparison in an already unfair world. Anyway just had to mention that. But again loved watching you guys and great work. I do also love and admire your background story in life chazz it’s incredibly up lifting. All the best x
Wonderful Sit down Thank you Chaz and Michael, you guys were fantastic and I really hope you two will do it again. The chemistry is amazing. Thanks again guys and be safe and stay healthy! Much love ❤
The Appalachin meeting at Joe Barbara's was basically Vito Genovese's doing. He wanted everyone to recognize that he was now the main power in the Mob, along with Carlo Gambino, and not Lucky or Frank Costello, who he had just months prior had the Chin try to kill. It was stupid and and basically just Vito pounding his chest.
Crazy Crazy to think Michael's Dad, Sonny, could see his son as an extremely intelligent man and pushed him into that Lifestyle. But then again, he had so much passion for La Costa Notras, he was probably proud as hell... He probably thought anything less was a disrespectful occupation.
I'm 50 years old, grew up in New York city. There was always something going on. Our dad always told us and pointed the guys you show extra respect to. Hi Chazz! Just found your channel through Michael. Love the episodes sir! I would love to hear your thoughts on A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints. It was the first movie I remember seeing you, and your performance was riveting as Dito's father.
GREAT interview! I Just saw your one man show last week here in San Antonio and it was EXCELLENT! I used to live in Brooklyn about a 15 minute walk from the Gemini Lounge, so I know where you're coming from. Keep doin' what you do 'C'.
