I had a similar issue with a free hub tower . a brand new g062 free hub tower that was frozen. Was throwing the chain when trying to Coast or pedal backwards. Had to soak it in penetrating oil just to get it working. Unfortunately the six screws that hold it in have a non-standard head. The screws are impossible to find and had to get 4x8 mm screws and grind the heads to size.
@@EbikeRepairsthanks I also noticed the jam nut is $3 at most places. I mean, that's just crazy greed. $3 for an aluminum washer. For that price you should be getting a bag of 50.
Nice tear down and investigation Darsh.
@@MiniLuv-1984 thanks! The new freehub tower just turned up today... IN BLACK 😭😭

@@BrettWoodBiking criminal isn't it 😂
@@EbikeRepairs Yes it is. For companies that claim going green is for the environment, I think they really mean for their wallet 😂
Great video as always

These motors are realy comon for OEM bike builders.
How was the grease on the new part?
Totally fine, this one was 5000miles (or km I can't remember now) down the road without a service! So it did really well
