I’ve not seen you do a re cell before, the bubbling cells and sparks added to the excitement! Although, don’t forget that a good, reliable portable vehicle for air travel with a super compliant 0 amp hour battery is available in the form of the human powered folding adult kick scooter 😊 It can not only go in the hold, it can fit in your suitcase with the swimwear!
The single temp sensor on the opposite side of the board to the troubled cell was hilarious. But I suppose that's probably just for charging/discharging monitoring purposes and not some sort of 'early warning' system of imminent kabooms. Far out... imagine that pack sitting in a recycling centre somewhere.
Damn those welds holding terribly. You shouldnt be able to tear them with your nail even with full force, something is wrong there. I bought this spotwelder because i have seen it on your channel and it makes super strong welds on 0.15 steel tabs. What was your setting welder and what tabs did you use? was it 0.2 pure nickel?
@@bobikbobikowy5458 I agree! Some of them turned out terribly, I had to redo them a lot. Turns out the tips needed cleaning inside the clamps, they had some corrosion or heat damage... After I sorted that it was okay again :) this was 0.15 nickel plated steel
@@EbikeRepairs good that you found the problem. Bad paralell connections can start a fire in long run. Thats no joke with batteries, you can burn someones house

@@SproutyPottedPlant it was interesting wasn't it 🤣 that's very true, even a penny board is faster than getting around walking...

@@MattExzy still, terrifying right? This is why it's so important NOT to recharge a battery pack that's unhappy... Kaboom!
Bloody good video as always
Thankyou! I know it's a bit long but I wanted to get the whole process in there for those that want to see it!
❤
Have the same unsoldering iron. Best investment ever. It saves so much time. Just add enough flux. It takes it right off
I'll have to test it again with more flux? It seemed to overwhelm it the way I was using it

@@bobikbobikowy5458 totally! I've got a new welder new, a pneumatic BEAST - it's really something, I'll be doing a video on it
the sucker body the yellow bit slips out to empty hope this helps
Thankyou! It shouldn't have filled up that quickly though, right?
