    FINALLY a new video. This is what a lot of the car scene is missing (and maybe that is a good thing). Are there any cooling upgrades done?

    • @RidgeChaser
      @RidgeChaser  7 років тому +4

      +Richard Bossman No cooling mods, since this car doesn't get pushed as hard in the daytime but I'll ask the owner what they think!

    • @zeppelin926
      @zeppelin926 7 років тому +3

      Richard Bossman all it has is the big radiator you see at the end

    • @richardbossman9875
      @richardbossman9875 7 років тому +1

      Am I wrong or is the lightbar mounted directly in front of the radiator?

    • @zeppelin926
      @zeppelin926 7 років тому +2

      Richard Bossman not really blocking enough to be a concern.

    • @John.strong
      @John.strong 7 років тому +1

      It probably jist needs maintenance not upgrade
      Mine never over heats even on hot australia summer days and going alot harder then they were
      Plus you see h22s with half size civc rads and turbos attached making alot of power and never have problems, like my old one
      Maintenance is often forgot about
      Plus they will need an auto rad because of the atts system. .. or an oil cooler as well

    Hmmm, bizarre that it overheated. The owner mentioned something about the oil, is there a possibility that the engine was filled with the wrong viscosity oil?

    • @zeppelin926
      @zeppelin926 7 років тому +2

      Matt Bonaccio it had 10w30 at the time

    • @sickbastard82
      @sickbastard82 3 роки тому +1

      @@zeppelin926 10w30 = shit. I dont know why in tha love of fuck honda has chosen this shit oil in US models. In european owners manual it is written that you can use everything between 5w30 and 20w50. It all depends where you live, hot or cold climate. If you drive drive hard use sth like 5w50, 10w50 or 10w60. I bet my ass if he had used a proper oil like millers cfs nt+ 10w50 triple ester/ PAO oil or gulf racing 10w60 PAO oil, things like this wouldn't happen. Or he already had a fucked head gasket which could also be the culprit

    I have a 97 with full ground control coil overs and sway bars. Handles like a Ferrari. These do tend to get hot with how big the 2.2 block is. Aftermarket radiator is a must eventually. Mine overheated to the point where the head warped. Was worth every penny to fix still!
