Best Zealand title ever. Period.

When brazil tied costa rica he nearly exploded, when I saw Panama beating the USA the first thing I thought was what will zealand say? haha
@@Ilosaf0666 aha bro same I was like zealand is gonna be making this post very soon
Panama beating the US is less surprising than Brazil having a disappointing performance again.
Like the US has historically been bad at football, only just recently in the last 5 years having beaten Mexico more times than not on average which is hilarious to say the least.
I’m still confused why Mexico is so *ss at football recently when they’ve on average beaten the US way more times and their national sport is football.
Football isn’t even in the top 5 most popular in the US 😂.
Anyways back to the main thing, yeah the US ain’t getting past the group stage
Between this match and the debate last night, this was not a good Thursday as an American.

I appreciate people make mistakes but it was really funny to see 24 year old Tim Weah say I’ve learned I shouldn’t forearm people in the head in the future.
As an Englishman, hearing Greg Berhalter speak is like seeing the real life personification of Ted Lasso. He seems utterly clueless. It's like he's only just discovered what 'Soccer' is about a week ago, and now he's trying to blag that he has any knowledge of the sport because someone dropped him into a management position he's not equipped to deal with.
Nah bro did you watch the show? Greg is so much more clueless than Ted lasso
It's legit an arrestable offense to continue with Greg after all the drama
@@williamdavis9018 Lol nah, to be fair, I haven't actually watched the show, I've only seen those NBC adverts that led to the show being created.....but I'd imagine that during the course of the show Ted actually learns some things and starts to somewhat know what he's doing.
Greg literally sounds like he's clueless. I know 5 year old kids who have more convincing football knowledge than him lol
In Argentina Carlos Bianchi once said that without inteligent players you can`t win.
What Weah did was so dumb, usa was on path to win this game 3-0. Amazing how that can cost you elimination.
Something Americans need to learn - you are never too big to be beaten by a smaller team. Hard work beats talent where talent doesn't work hard.
Dear Zealand captors: Please give him a newspaper dated from today for him to hold so we know he is still alive and this wasnt recorded three months ago.
For those who wonder how he was able to correctly discuss the match, they had him record it 50 times with every possible permutation of the match.
is that why is background changed, and he run
USMNT managing to disappoint without any expectations is an achievement in itself
Round of 16 is definitely an expectation
I saw this coming after only beating Bolivia 2-0 on home soil. Paraguay is the only team in the last 3 years to not beat Bolivia by at least 3 goals when playing a competitive fixture on home soil, having won 1-0 last October in WC qualifiers. The time before that was Uruguay winning 4-2 in September 2021. Bolivia are horrifically bad away.
I was warning of this danger as soon as the draw happened. That was after the Nations League QF where Panama looked like the team to beat and they have a history of playing the US close. Combine that with Berhalter still being in charge and this was a disaster waiting to happen. People were dismissing my warnings as foolish then. Unfortunately I was right. Not much has changed since the Taylor Twellman rant after we missed the 2018 World Cup.

You are not watching enough Concacaf if you do not think that USA and Mexico are currently on the same step, half a step below Panama and then a mile below the rest of Concacaf.

He has zero ball knowledge. The US cannot win away from home and cannot beat quality opposition. These players have not proven anything. They’ve played together long enough to make conclusions. I sincerely doubt they’re even the best in the region. I mean all the tournaments are played in the US. I doubt they get to final playing in other nations.
This Zealand dude straight up said Panama sucks. And they beat the USA in the gold cup last year. 😂😂. And got humbled this year in Copa America
I’m English , I’m glad we can share the woes of our team😂
That loss felt horrible last night. You guys are at a level that where even if you play bad, you can get through the group. Not us.
At least England not losing, they advanced with the consolation of playing even more boring than 2010 Spain on knockout stage.
England 🏴 at their worse form, can still go pass group stages and are part of Football's toughest confederations.
Whereas, the USA 🇺🇲, with all the advantage and resources, being part of the easiest confederations where only a few CONCACAF teams dominate; amazes me when they stumble to less wealthy nations in football like Panama 🇵🇦.
That's a testament to Panamanian persistence
After that result, Zealand goes with the backwards baseball cap and a stache with zero beard look, trying his darndest to look as Murican as possible? This is all sorts of confusing!
All the while without his background sorted too.
The american messi attempting 15 passes and completing only 60% of them as the teams main creative player is probably something to look into idk
ok ive looked into it and it turns out the US had a man sent off after 20 minutes and then for the rest of the game they sat back on the edge of their own area.
none of thier players could string 4 passes together because they no one up the pitch to pass to.
everytime they won the ball back, all they could do was hoof itclear or try a really hard 40 yard pass to the striker who had two center backs on him at all times.
most of the us team had terrible stats and it was an awful shocking game for all concerned.

How can you still believe the US is the 3rd best team in the tournament, but have almost no faith on beating Uruguay
It's gonna help us in the long term if it finally gets Greggggggggg fired. He should've been gone after the World Cup and it's inexcusable that he was brought back after that debacle, but better late than never. Of course, the most obvious candidate to replace him is already coaching a CONCACAF rival, which is another inexcusable failure by the USSF, but honestly I don't even really care who we hire. It can't be worse than this. Berhalter had no business coaching the national team in the first place, and he certainly had no business sticking around after his first cycle where he did *nothing* to prove he deserved the job. Congratulations, USSF, you played yourself.
Undermentioned in general by people is the insane 4 minutes of final stoppage time, when both teams were at 10 men.
The USMNT is the CONCACAF equivalent of a 3 year old with how many times I've seen them choking with small objects
When you laughed about Iceland Zealand. Well, life comes at you fast.
Shoutout to Christiansen. A decent performance vs Uruguay and a win vs Gregg’s horrible tactics, CHRISTIANSEN TOP 3 MANAGER IN CONCACAF BTW, NO ONE WILL SAY IT, BUT HE IS!!!

First, McKennie even mentioned before the game that they have to be careful because they all knew how this ref operates.
Second, Berhalter made a decision to play for the draw, and when you make that decision down a man, you better be 100% sure you have the right team on the field to do it. But he took off Adams, and put in CCV who looked lost out there, and these 3 CB’s have probably never played as a back 5 together before… he kept Scally in when he looked gassed and Musah didn’t even see the field. This game was so ABYSMALLY managed. You have to prepare the team for the type of game that it’s going to be. We all knew they were going to try to bait us into making a stupid mistake. We played right into their hands. This is a MANAGEMENT failure.

Also Panama has given the US trouble in the past, for whatever reason they are just good at taking the fight to them in particular.
I said a week ago, in your first Copa America video. USA might not get out of group, definitely won’t make it past quarterfinals. Uruguay to win it all. Feeling good about that prediction 😂

Guys its joever in the debate and it the us national team 😅
US fans need to understand that, besides there are CONCACAF teams, Copa America is a South American tournament, and you should play like that. Thats whats Panamá did, and thats why teams like USA and Brazil (which both have plenty of talent playing in Europe) have hard times against CONMEBOL national teams.
I hate using this term but...man-up! Thats why teams like Argentina, Uruguay and Colombia are succeeding; they have "european talent" but they know when to show their teeth and be ready to battle. And in Copa America you play under Southamerican rules. Dont like it and seems unfair? You may be right, but get used it, as everyone on SA have to.
Never thought I would hear my country of Suriname 🇸🇷 being mentioned in this video.

Also, you should have mentioned that the players love Greg, and the USSF specifically mentions that for why we should keep him on.

I think you need to explore the possibility, or indeed the reality, that concacaf is simply not as strong as conmebol in practice. Sure on paper they may have better teams, but there are a lot of intangibles in football like passion, pride, desire, and reputation. While I’m not saying concacaf teams don’t have any of these qualities, they very clearly don’t have them to the extent that Conmebol sides do with the exception of Mexico who are simply shit on paper combined with the fact that Venezuela are in incredible form at the moment (fourth in WC qualifying behind only Argentina, Uruguay, and Colombia). The expectation that the US can compete with these countries makes sense on paper, but playing South American sides is a completely different ball game, to the point where they make trouble for even the best European sides. Realistically the US has a a LOOOONG way to go before they can compete with even the middle class of Conmebol on a consistent basis. Tradition isn’t forged in 3 decades so you can’t expect this team to have the same amount of drive and hunger as a team who grew up in a football obsessed nation and never had any dreams past representing their nation in a major tournament. The notion that just because we have a better team on paper we should be able to beat another team is incredibly reductive to the psychology surrounding the game, the social factors involved, and the sport of football as a whole. How many times have we seen incredible sides on paper have horrible runs of form relative to their quality? That’s the way of the game. There’s nothing about talent that guarantees you success, only when talent is combined with drive do you achieve your goals.
On the positive side, this next match is a win win for us. Either we win against Uruguay (which would be epic) and get out of the group or we lose get grouped and FINALLY get rid of Berhalter!! I'm actually quite excited about this match against Uruguay.

This is just another negative reflection on Greg’s tenure as the head coach. You’re spot on. It feels like almost every major tournament is mired in some controversy and players loosing their head. The man is not leader. His PR skills are abysmal. He’s lucky to be in the job in the first place. If the US is actually going to start taking football seriously he needs to go. 2026 is the most important tournament I can remember in Decades. If we come out flat when the lights are brightest AGAIN, like we always do under greg, it will set us back years again. We need Pulisic and Adams on kids walls not Mahomes and Kelce. I’m not sure we ever get there if we don’t bring in someone more serious.
This just goes back to the crazy amount of Nepotism in the USMNT, Berhalter was rehired after a coaching search using (apparently) advanced psychometric evaluations with managers like Jesse Marsch and Patrick Vieira. I don't care that Marsch and Vieira might've been a little underwhelming at their clubs in the Prem, Greg was piss poor during his first stint with the USMNT where he openly displayed to the world his complete lack of tactical knowledge, and yet he's somehow placed higher up on the managerial totem pole than Jesse Marsch and Patrick Vieira. Not to mention, even though a lot of people sit here and argue about why Greg's still there, there's more people who are in full support of every directive taken by the committee, which to me is fuckin' mindblowing. France won the world cup in 2018, Argentina won in 2022, these are two of the most successful federations in recent times, their fans fuckin' DESPISE their committees, and they're winners. The USMNT are effectively the last Brooklyn Nets project, super good squad and serial losers, and yet most people clap and cheer for the federation responsible for the mess. Unless the USMNT kicks out everyone who's got even a tiny amount of bias, things like this will keep being commonplace.
that thing on your lip's back bro
