    - Husky Plastic Sheeting : www.kbecca.com/amz-husky-plast... (or a large garbage bag / old newspapers / a bunch of plastic grocery bags / a painter's dropcloth)
    - Foil Cookie Tray (to catch most of the excess paint as it runs off the edges of the painting - I purchased a set of 2 for $1.00 at the dollar store)
    - Vinyl Gloves (if you don't want to be cleaning acrylic paint from under your fingernails for days, then use gloves - I buy mine by the box at Walmart in the cleaning supplies aisle)
    - Acrylic Craft Paints (in the video, I used Martha Stewart Wedding Cake, Summer Haze, Pink Dahlia, Americana Deep Midnight Blue & Melon, Folk Art Wicker White, and Ceramcoat Black craft paints)
    - Elmer's Glue All + Water : www.kbecca.com/amz-elmers-glueall
    - Squeeze Bottle : www.kbecca.com/amazon-squeeze-... (I put the glue and water into this and shake it up until they're well mixed. The squeeze bottles are a really easy way to dispense your pouring medium, and you can just put the cap back on when you're not using so it doesn't dry out)
    - Food Service Portion Cups : www.kbecca.com/amz-food-servic... (to hold the paint / pouring medium mixture - you can use any small plastic cups for this, or you can save yogurt containers or even plastic cat food containers and use those)
    - Wood Craft Sticks : www.kbecca.com/amz-wood-craft-... (to stir the paint / pouring medium mixture - I picked up a package of 100 for $1.00 at the dollar store, and once the paint is completely dry on them, you can reuse them)
    - Art Alternatives 8x10 Canvas Panels : www.kbecca.com/amz-art-alterna... (if you want to hang your paintings on the wall, you should use a regular canvas, but I like these panels and buy them by the dozen from Amazon)
    - Plastic Shot Glasses (to raise the canvas off of the work surface so the paint can flow off the edges after you pour - I bought a package of 24 plastic shot glasses for $1.00 at the dollar store, but you can use food service containers, plastic yogurt containers, cat food containers, or even a small box under the canvas)
    - 91% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol in a spritzer bottle to pop bubbles in the paint. You can spray this into the paint cups before pouring, spritz it onto the canvas after pouring, or both.
    - Spot On 100% Silicone Treadmill Belt Lubricant : www.kbecca.com/amz-spoton-sili... (to create cells in acrylic pour paintings)

    The cells are compact enough to suggest starlight, or even snow falling on a winter night. The predominantly dark paints emphasize this, and the effect would be even more stunning on a deep, cobalt blue. Of course, I say this of many things. Oh, and unlike earlier dirty pours, the imagination glimpses forms and figures lurking just beyond clear sight. Tingly mysterious!

      Hi, Keith! Love the idea of cells with a deep, cobalt blue. I may have to use this color in a future, cell-centric pour painting!

    Great video! I'm new to this acrylic pour painting and I have been watching videos on diff artists, yours is the best. Helpful information and instructions in a short video. Subscribed!!
    I got a question, can I use a normal blower to spread the paint instead of titling the canvas? Thank you

    I just watched a guy who is a master paint pourer and he only used one drop of silicon in an entire cup like you were using. He made his come out with a heat gun. They're bigger and prettier.

    Hey there, Are you still working with acrylic pouring? Just wondered if you have changed pouring medium and paint brands. (I have been experimenting with craft paints, glitter glues, floetrol, silicone and alcohol ... not too thrilled at my finished products.)

    What is the reason that you did not add silicone to the white paint?

    Hey Kristen so I make paintings like this and when they dry up sometimes they have cracks in the painting and I'm not sure why they have cracks in it. They still look good but I'm just curious if u know why there are cracks in the painting.

    • @kdotbecca
      @kdotbecca  5 років тому

      Hi, Dana Cavada! Apologies for the delayed reply. I've also had cracks appear in some of my paintings as they dry. It's called "crazing", and I've read that there's no way to 100% prevent it, but the higher end (read: more expensive) pouring mediums, like the one from Liquitex, are supposed to help prevent it. I think that at least part of it may be that the paint is drying unevenly. Some artists actually put a box or plastic bin over their paintings as they dry so they'll dry more consistently, so you may want to try this and see if it helps.

    • @kdotbecca
      @kdotbecca  5 років тому

      Oh, and I also wanted to add that some brands of paint seem to crack more often than others, so if you notice that the cracking happens more when you use certain paints, you might want to try using a different brand in a similar color to see if that helps.
