That’s great to hear. Keep it up!
@RefinishMedia. Have a question. I want to get some clarification please. Im getting ready to repaint my truck. Its the factory paint. Going to be using PPG CRE-321 Epoxy High Build Primer. After I do my block sanding on the initial 3 coats of primer I plan on Mixing the CRE-321 as a sealer before applying my basecoat. My question is this after I apply my sealer do I need to sand or scuff it before applying my basecoat. Ive been told that once I end with 800 grit that I can seal it then basecoat without sanding. Whats your thoughts please.
A couple things. I’m not very familiar with that product. I just took a look at the TDS sheet. I don’t see anywhere where is says it can be used as a sealer. But maybe I missed that so double check that. As for what grit to seal over, 400-600 is ideal 800 is to fine of a scratch. Now typically sealer doesn’t need to be sanded but in a situation where I might not be in a booth or I’m doing a very high end Job and I want the best results. I will let the sealer dry very well and wet sand it down with 600. Hope this helps.
@@RefinishMedia. Ok. I originally wanted to use Vp2050 but they were out of it at my ppg place. The ppg guy told me that the CRE-321 was ppg commercial product and it was the same thing as VP2050.
I’m not sure that vp2050 can be used as a sealer either. Don’t quote me on it but I’m unaware that it is.
Chevyyyyyyyy!!!!!!
Yes sir!
Why not back tape the uv .
What do you mean ?
It was back taped. That was literally the point of Tip #1. Are we watching the same video? 😂😂😂
I ment back roll the tape and don't prime all the way to the tape and you would not have a hard primer lines all around
Which ever soft edge method you use. We were just saying to avoid getting a hard line.
You will never get a better job with a base coat carrier with a kandy paint job cant disagree more.
Just to clarify your method. You’re saying you put your Kandy in a 2k clear coat and apply how ever many coats necessary. Then straight 2k clear over the top of that?
@RefinishMedia UK Kandy house of Kolors or kk Kandy concentrate. It is clear coat yes
@RefinishMedia base coat does not hold up.the the uv rays much easier to paint but doesn't have the depth of a real kandy
Sorry I’m having a hard time understanding what you’re saying. What is the name/part number of the clear from house of kolor you use to mix with your Kandy?
@RefinishMedia those are the products uk and kk house of Kolors.
what is this 400 dollar gun? cheapest one I've ever managed was 750. most guns average 1200 to 1500 in my area
Lumaiii Exodus is 400 and with our discount code “refinishmedia” it’s under 400.
