Brian ... The color blender after the primer sealer to "connect the dots" and create a seamless finish before basecoat is a TOP LEVEL professional move bro... GOOD JOB !
Somwtimes having all the fluid wide open is not for everyone,if you need to turn fluid down then turn fluid down, think for the unprofessional painter is turn spray nossel side ways ,spray on a paper for three seconds and if you get a run tyrn fluid nozzle in,then spray paper again if you still get a run in less than three seconds you repeat ,until you dont get a run in three seconds, after that open fluid up one full turn.
I always spray dry first coat, or else I get fish eyes everywhere no matter how well I clean and wipe it down. Seems like after the first dry coat, I can hammer the rest of the coats on.
Couple of questions for you... Can you really tell if that antistatic gun makes a difference? Is it worth the purchase since I know they are pretty pricey... Also few videos back you did a review on couple of Milwaukee M12 orbital sanders that you got to try out. Did you reach out to Milwaukee about the senders or did they reach out to you asking you to showcase them on your channel?
I have just as clean jobs without the stat gun most of the time but i always have clean jobs when I use it. This one had no dirt in it all. The milwaukee sander is now available and i am previously a Milwaukee product review sponsor
@@PaintSociety Thanks for feedback...I thought maybe I should buy an antistatic gun and reverse engineer it to figure out how to reproduce for less $ to make it more affordable for the masses. Also if you don't mind me asking, how do you become a Milwaukee product review sponsor? I wouldn't mind reviewing their products myself on my channel 😉
@@PaintSociety Back in the '80's, a coach painter friend of mine used to put a cloth inside an old pair of nylon stockings and use it as a tack cloth. Any dust used to stick to it really well.
I threw myself into the hardest jobs to learn painting 😂 First few cars were silver, the first one left me disappointed as hell😂 kept trying and I got better, then I decided to paint a whole car inside and out, along with the fiberglass bodykit i made from scratch for it. Guess the color. 3 stage white 😂😂😂 that one sucked too Ngl. I stopped on the ends of almost all panels, wasn’t thinking straight. Had some darker areas around the car, gave it a shot again on another car, waaaay better this time. Consistent this time, even coverage. Using a small compressor tho so I’m not liking my clear coat finish
Merry Christmas to all and you and your family!!! Brian, do you know how to blend color without using clear base? My autobody teacher showed us but I was wondering if you had any insight on how to do it?
@@PaintSociety thank you for your advise I’ll do that since I have a paint job that I’m working on and have never blended🙏🏼 and merry Christmas 🎄 to you and your family!! Can’t wait for more great content!!
Sounds like you're using Triggers technique of getting first coat of base wet almost complete coverage. He also uses urethane basecoat...I'm sure you know.😎
Good video/info per usual !! As a lot of other painters I struggle with silvers/heavy metallics from time to time. Sometimes the paint just goes down nicely and looks great and even, other times even though I keep the technic and all of the setting the same as time before, metallics lay down blotchy and that's when you have to get creative to try and cover the blotch and even things out... What gives....
Merry Christmas Brian and family!!! Thanks so much for your awesome content! It finally inspired me to take on my own project, I just got done spraying the tailgate this Christmas Eve and it isn’t perfect but definitely nice for my first time painting! Thanks again! Here’s a little video of my tailgate: m.ua-cam.com/users/shortsqqopsGVWzOk P.S. if anybody has any tips I’d be happy to hear them!!!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Brian.
I have learned a huge amount from you over the past year.
A Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Merry Christmas to you as well. I remember silvers being very tricky to blend. One angle can look perfect, another angle, ugh. You did a nice job!
Merry Christmas Brian to you and your family! Thanks for all you do
Same to you! Have a beautiful christmas!
Awesome job Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hi, I'm trying to paint my car. It is a volvo c70 convertible. I want to use a single stage. How much paint do I need
2 litres
If I bought a C2 cap and put it on a DV1 base gun would it be the same thing as a DV1 clear gun?
At all Devilbiss guns you change only the cap
Or the nozzle if you want ro change 1.3 to 1.4 or what ever
Basically !
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Brian and thanks for your mentoring and helping us keep the right perspective. 😎
Merry Christmas! You're welcome!
Silver is the one color that is worse to spray and can give you a head ache sometimes !
Merry Christmas Brian. Great video as usual. What is your dry time on the clear you use? Opinion on fast drying clears?
Fast drying clears always die back n pinch. These are dust free in 15 min
Merry Christmas Brian to you and yours. Keep up the good work my friend 😅
Merry Christmas to all and you and your family!!! Brian, do you know how to blend color without using clear base? My autobody teacher showed us but I was wondering if you had any insight on how to do it?
Just did it here. Just use extra slow reducer. Thats all and use little extra reducer
@@PaintSocietySo do I spray just straight reducer in place of clear base, or just use extra slow in my paint and over reduce it a bit?
Extra slow for reducer with the paint and mix it with 20% more reducer. No need for blending additive. That was just for the sealer
@@PaintSociety thank you for your advise I’ll do that since I have a paint job that I’m working on and have never blended🙏🏼 and merry Christmas 🎄 to you and your family!! Can’t wait for more great content!!
Merry Christmas all! Keep that "sparky bike" away from flamables!
What air pressure on basecoat ?
18
Great work✊
let me guess....somewhere on the battery for the bike, it said "prohibit indoor charge"?
Correct!
I would love to see a short video on what happened to the e-bike 🤣
Its getting tossed!
😂@@PaintSociety
Marry Christmas! Didn’t think my gift would be a great video! Thanks for not leaving me with paint video withdrawals through the holidays 😂
Haha ty Nick for being a great fan!
I would of do the quarter panel to insure color match light color metilacs can be tricky
Its true. I agree

Oh nice! It works great on silvers, always learning😀

Great content, I enjoy watching your videos. Almost forgot, don't go riding if the sparks are flying. 😁
I have been told that by more than one person! Lol.
Blend... silver... ugh!! Don't you always say that they're THE hardest?
I'll leave those one to YOU! :D
I have had my fair share thats for sure !
You the best my friend❤
