Bob's Your Uncle - This Is How I Bob Scale RC Crawler Beds For A Nice Result

  • This is the process of how I bob the bed of a hard body RC truck. It was all done using inexpensive hand tools so please don't be afraid to try it yourself! I've used these principals to shorten and lengthen MILLIONS of RC trucks.
Some of the supplies and tools used:
    Dozuki/pull saw
    MEK substitute for the “glue”
    Bondo Glazing Putty (filler)
    Aerosol filler primer
    Hobby knife
    Sanding sponge
    Needle file
    Nail file/sanding stick
    Spring clamp
    Bar clamp

This video was informative and well done. The content is unique and interesting. UA-cam has no place for this. I want to see an explosion, hear shouting, 2 dangerous pranks that put the wellbeing on onlookers in peril and most important, adding nothing to the hobby or humanity at all. Unsubbed.

This is such a good video. It shows to a T what all is needed to make perfect cuts and bonds. It think it should have lead with a banner that read “patience not included”. Even showing people how to properly shake a can was a nice touch.

I often wonder if this is actually patience or just obsession. I’m very impatient. Reason why I don’t hunt or fish or golf or leave home and so on. But thanks!

I’m very disappointed nobody told me I have done it wrong and that using a bandsaw with a fence would’ve done it much quicker without any measuring and that I’m an idiot but I have used a table saw several times to cut beds and it works fine but it’s kind of sketchy and I don’t want to promote unsafe behavior so once again thanks for all of that sick content you do and I wouldn’t have pinched the nose on the Hilux the way you did I would’ve used a table saw.

Excellent video, simple and straight-forward (as always)! Fortunately, having started with scale models, I have lots of experience with styrene so, I've found it very useful with scale RCs. I would love to see how you pinch a styrene bed. Much more involved and something a little more advanced, that would be great! 👍
