Dear god, this makes Chicken Little look like Zootopia.
I betcha if Roger Ebert were still around he'd have this to say about the movie:
"I hated this movie. Hated, hated, hated, hated, hated this movie. Hated it. Hated every simpering stupid vacant audience-insulting moment of it. Hated the sensibility that thought anyone would like it. Hated the implied insult to the audience by its belief that anyone would be entertained by it."

Speaking of Deuce Bigalow, I'd like to see Smeghead tackle another movie from Roger Ebert's Most Hated list. I think he has only done Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, Battlefield Earth, and Catwoman to date...maybe we can see Smeghead try his hand at Armageddon or North?

Rob Schneider is one of the few actors who makes Adam Sandler look great by comparison.
Nathaniel Levesque I think Adam Sandler can be funny, but at the same time, I think that he goes out of his way to ruin good comedy
It helps that Sandler isn't a total douchebag like Schneider.

Actually, Sean, this movie *was* meant to be a direct-to-DVD possibly sold only in Walmart stores and not a theatrical release. However, some "genius" from the studios, and possibly Rob Schneider himself, (I wouldn't put anything past him), got the "brilliant" idea that Norm of the North should be show. In movie theaters across the nation. And we all know how well that went.

I actually went to watch it due to the recommendation of some critics I like and found it painfully mediocre. The only outstanding thing about it for me was the animation.

I think the "leave poetry to the panda bears" is meant to be a gag about Chinese poets and philosophers like Confucius. In which case, it would be slightly clever if the target audience knew what they were referring to. The eight year olds watching this film (all three of them) probably never heard the name Confucius.

You know, Sean, you aren't the only one who was majorly disappointed that Koba and the Two Strings didn't get the recognition nor the money that it deserved. It was so beautifully crafted and most of it was done with practical effects. If you haven't seen it yet... GO SEE IT! (On a side note: Personally, I think it's better than Zootopia and The Lego Movie)

Let the record show that I indeed saw Kubo and the two strings and it was easily one of the most beautiful animated/stop motion movies I've ever viewed
Easily the worst movie of 2016.
I hate it even more than Gods of Egypt, Independence Day: Resurgence, Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Ice Age: Collision Course, The 5th Wave, and Ghostbusters (yes, I hated that movie. And no I'm not sexist, I just find it to be a bad film)
And this manages to be _worse_ than ALL of these movies.

I'm not gonna lie, the commercial director's line about "writing the plot in post" made me laugh. As someone who knows a lot about filmmaking, I thought that was funny.

I hate this movie with a PASSION. I did a full review of it back in June, and it still ticks me off when I even think of Norm Of The North. It honestly is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Rob Schneider should have gotten worst actor. Say what you will about BvS, but Ben Affleck wasn't even an honorable mention for my list of complaints with it.
Of the movies I've seen Schneider in,two of which....*Demolition Man* and the 1996 live-action *Pinocchio*...he didn't appear long enough to do any real damage...such was NOT the case with *Judge Dredd*,which was already lacking.

Norm of the North was the worst animated movie of 2016 period.
About the razzies, despite having six nominations per category instead of five, there were just as many movies nominated this year as there were last year.
Also, I'm guessing the next episode will be Suicide Squad? or Max Steel?
I know I'm late to the party, but KUBO is a great film, period.
"Arctic" includes certain parts of Canada and Russia, possibly Denmark and Norway, where people DO live. It is not a lawless or unclaimed area where a bad developer can just come and start building. Not even in "international waters". Since everybody speaks English, I am going to assume this is taking place in CANADA. Time for legal action, eh?

By a strange coincidence, this review was published around the time that my university hosted "Polar Week", which was mainly devoted to studies about the Arctic. Not that the writers of the film would have gone there and got new possibly new ideas for the plot.

Honestly, I've just fallen to the notion that the Hollywood operation system is all one MASSIVE, ELABORATE JOKE! Between the fact that this straight-to-video shit got released to theaters, to the fact that success of great films like Kubo was overshadowed by inferior films like The Angry Birds Movie, to how even the Oscar/Razzie-voters are so god-damn bigoted!
These days, if you want any justice done to a movie or TV show nowadays, you need to release it straight to Netflix! I'm exaggerating of course (there are plenty of instances of great movies getting rightfully-deserved success and praise, and vise versa). Seriously though, showing this to your kids should be classified as child abuse!
Norm of the North spawned three straight-to-DVD sequels. Having a sequiel be straight-to-DVD is a telltale sign that your movie is a failure.

4:12 Let me guess. This was the dipstick from dove.org that gave this movie it's "All Ages Approved" seal on it's DVD release. I'm not making this up! Norm of the North really does have the seal on the DVD covers. Did the people from dove.org actually watch this movie? With all it's toilet humor, immature material and bad juvenile humor, it's anything but "family friendly". I guess if said movie has an environmental message, (despite the message here being hypocritical), it overshadows all tasteless material. Sad, really.
