    Hello Alyssa
After pasting the inadine, can we use duoderm to cover it and then paste a water proof plaster over it?
    Thank you.

That is alot of products. I personally have never used it under duoderm or tagaderm . I would use an allyven as that is good for 7 days(same as inadine)and waterproof. Allyven is good for low to moderate amout of exudate. What are you trying to achieve with the wound right now? Is it a clean wound base ? Exudate amount?

Can i use inadine with mepore dressing? The wound is shallow and has exudate of blood, yellow fluid from slough. Patient is in alot of pain and don't want to create more pain trying to remove the slough. Please advise? Thanks

The slough does need to be removed there for you should be using a debriding agent (medihoney , iodosorb would be good options for this) without a clean would base the would can not heal.

I would have used it for at least one more dressing change and seen how it was at the next dressing.

You mentioned we can cut it, can we save the remaining part and use until it finished?

Yes, when you cut it, make sure to leave the backings on, then put the remainder back into the package and seal the open edge with tape or place in a zip lock bag. (You need to keep it as sterile as possible)

      Thank you.
I am trying to find an article or document that will cover this directive.

officially it will tell you to toss the open package each time. As soon as a sterile package has been open the contents are no longer sterile. with that said it can become very costly to do. In a home environment, this can be safely done as long as you take measures to keep the product clean. hope this helps

I have tjunction openings and my surgeon has told me to use iadine patches. They are less than 5p size and I don’t think are infected but have oozed. I was told to put the patch on and mepore dressing on top and repeat daily until improvement. Does this seem right? I’m worrying thank you
