Hey Sterling. What I like about your style of riding is you are respectful to the land and the animals you encounter. Watched another BDR channel the other day and the guys acted like a bunch of 15 year olds on a drunk bender. Chasing the wild horses on the road, busting up cattle herds etc.. You're responsible and it doesn't go UN-noticed. Great video's as you always do! Stay safe out there on that 1200 beast.

Wow, great stuff again. I was in Bouse about a month ago. This episode is so many short videos that although they may represent 10-15 seconds, I know they took you 10--15 minutes or more to execute. When I take a scenic ride, I always wish I had more photos, but I think about the difference between a road trip on a MC or in a car. In the car, you just pull off the road, lean out the window, aim and POOF, you have your picture. On a motorcycle you have to deal with soft shoulders of the road, getting your kickstand solid, taking off your gloves, setting up your tripod or worse yet getting your drone in the air and then shoot the video and return and reverse everything just said. Repeat 25 times for an 8 min. video. Lay your MC down in soft terrain because you turned the front wheel too sharp. Been there, done that!! This is pro quality video work. Thanks.

I love the high desert. A friend and I spent ten days camping and rock climbing in Joshua Tree in the mid 80s. It was a National Monument back then and we had the place almost to ourselves. The sky was the deepest blue every day and there was a constant 30 MPH wind. At night, I'd lie on the sun baked sand as the desert air cooled. The night sky had no light pollution and almost no humidity. The Milky Way was a bright band across the sky and the view was so clear that I had vertigo, feeling as if I was falling up into the sky.

Petrichor is the word you're looking for. Definition: a distinctive, earthy, usually pleasant odor that is associated with rainfall especially when following a warm, dry period and that arises from a combination of volatile plant oils and geosmin released from the soil into the air and by ozone carried by downdrafts.

Waiting for the storm to clear, hope the catch the desert bloom in anza borego, ride safe brother.

Great stuff! I appreciate your candid approach in this series. Whether it's dropping the bike in the sand, showing your campsite that's not all staged and perfect looking, or simply stopping to set up camera shots and then returning to get the camera, it just is what it is, and that's the reality of these types of journeys, and I think this sets a better set of expectations for those inspired to go on adventures of their own! Looking forward to future episodes!

As always, nice video. I appreciate your cooking skills while Moto camping. I tend to make much simpler fair. However, with your cooking equipment and video equipment, you pack amazingly well. Last big trip I took, Bama to Big Bend to Telluride and back through Missouri then South. I sent stuff home 3 times, and threw away least expensive stuff several times. But it all comes with experience.

Thank you - and just so you know I typically send stuff home too on a big trip like this, and pick up a few new things along the way. It's an ever evolving process. People often don't think about sending stuff home or purchasing things along the way - you don't have to pack "once" for a long trip.
