Finally, a video for the 2.4 RWD. All the other UA-cam gearbox oil change videos (MK6) are for the FWD so I'm glad you've made this. Thank you for the time and effort you put into making these.
Thanks, I appreciate it! More content to come.
@@AutoBuddynz I could do with getting your opinion on an issue I'm having with my MK6. Do you have a UA-cam email I can catch you on?
Fantastic! THANK YOU for identifying where the filler plug is on this model (2.4 RWD) and for such a clear video. I've spent ages on the internet (and some time under the vehicle) looking for this plug!
Appreciate it, thanks.
Thank you sir, very clear and simple, and well done. Wonderful
Thanks!
Thank you!
Thanks!
Hi.
Can u tell me please if the gearbox from transit 2.4 mk6 are fitting to mk7 2.4?
Thank you
From my understanding the Mk7 gearboxes are 6spd so not sure if they see compaitable, check with Ford.
Hey mate, what size crusher washers do you use? Cheers
I think it was M14 thread from memory
I have a Ford transit mk6 ,manual trans, when I try put stick into 1st gear or 2nd it will not go in, unless the engine is iff! Do you think i need gearbox fluid?? I just done the serpentine belt and now that is the problem..can anybody help?
Does the engine start and idle ok? If so check your clutch fluid level, master cylinder and slave cylinder. How was the clutch before this issue occurred? Was it a bit difficult to push down on?
@@AutoBuddynz it was OK before hand selecting the gear was a little stiff but now it's just not going into those gears. Master cylinder? Slave? Where are they? , the van idles fine . Starts everything, no warning lights. The clutch is wayyy lower that it was when the van broke down 3 weeks ago
@@rondiggz6589 Sounds like you have a failed slave cylinder, or possibly master. Slave cylinder can be seen in this video its on the gearbox and the master cylinder is next to the brake booster they are both plastic units and can fail, this can happen is the clutch is old and worn causing the two components to work excessively.
@@AutoBuddynz okok ill have a look , thanks alot!!
