Hiya, love these videos thank you for posting. Do you know if the Castrol ATF DEX 3 oil can also be used in the Auto shift reservoir on the automated manual gearbox?
Thanks for the comment. The Hydraulic shift mechanism operates on a specific oil LHMP001 thats the penrite code. Do not use atf in there, it will damage the system. If in doubt I recommend getting the genuine oil from Ford
Did it today and saw that the previous owner had plastic tied the cooler to the engine side of the radiator ??? I took off the hoses and re routed them, and reinstalled the cooler back in front of the radiator onto the clips that were still there !! I removed the reservoir and cleaned it inside and out ! So all back together and sounds quieter now ! Gracias otra vez !
Had no choice mine went dryish caue the damn oring at the line down blew during the cold, Drove home changed it now bleeding was jumpy at first after filling but air it is
@@AutoBuddynz seems to be good now had bit too much oil in there so drained a bit and and sat there from lock to lock quite a few times now it is good :) thanks for the vid it helped a lot
Blue pipe is just a standard silicone pipe which can be bought from any automotive parts store, I just measured the pipe the OD is 17mm and the more important part is the ID (internal diameter) which is 10mm, so any hose with a 10mm ID will be fine.
Mate, I had a hose to replace from pump to rack and you instruction came in very handy... thank you very much! Easy job!
Thank you for the feedback!
Just what I was searching for. Thank You for uploading! 👍

That's why my steering wheel is turning hard, I think this is the cause.

Try changing and bleeding the system, if you hear constant whining from the pump, further investigation would be needed.

Where did you get the blue pipe from 10mm was it ? Would this process apply to the mk7

And yes same process for a MK7 but you must ensure not to run the system dry at any point.
