Hi, do you have a fix for a speedometer showing wrong. When doing 40 it’s showing 80 and my mileage reading is going up twice as much as it should I’ve just bought the van and it all looks original wheels
I’m hoping you could shed some light on an issue for me if possible. My engine is turning over and not starting, getting power to the pump, the timing solenoid is reading 9.7 ohms and is receiving 12v is there anything i should look at as fuel isn’t getting to the injectors. Do these pumps have some sort of fuel shutoff within them perhaps? Thank you in advance 🙏
Thank you for this example, made my life easier. I did find that I could use the new battery to open the closure rather than using a coin or large screwdriver, it fitted perfectly.
@@DarrenPardoe-s4m Great!

Well made content, thanks. Can't tell from the angle of the video footage but is there room to grab and remove the roller bearing also after the sundial is removed?
@@dricklorenz9340 Thanks! The tapered roller bearing can be accessed when the sundial is removed, however its a press fit bearing so there is no easy way off removing it without pulling out the diff and using a puller or cutting it off.
@@AutoBuddynz - Thanks for the quick reply. I've heard, but never seen, that some folks have been able to remove the bearing without pulling out the diff. I guess I'll believe it when I see it.

I just had a similar problem with mine. I discovered that the starter relay fuse was blowing when I turned the key. The previous technician who last serviced my 2016 STI over torqued the caliper mounting bolts on the left rear caliper and the bolt snapped off inside of the caliper when I tried to remove it. The reason I needed to remove the caliper to begin with? Well, to remove the rotar to replace a broken wheel stud that was also way over torqued. I had to take the brake line off to take it to get it retapped. Is there a way to bleed that circuit alone without the use of a vacuum bucket?
@@Rrrakanishu Unfortunately this is a common trend I've seen with average technicans who are not familiar with this style of Brembo caliper. You can bleed out the front left caliper however for peace of mind I would recommend bleeding the entire system given the caliper was removed from the vehicle. In this video I cover the exact same issue with the bolt snapped off ua-cam.com/video/4M4M8pz1tIg/v-deo.htmlsi=BXrZThN3TEXR1WwM
@ thank you
WAIT! Any vacuum solenoid must NEVER be tested by blowing air in it! A lot of these solenoid depend on the initial vacuum to activate the rubber membrane inside, the connection (or disconnect) between the ports is not solid, it is either a spring actuated blocked or a rubber membrane, which 100% depends on the correct direction and pressure of air in order to operate! Blowing air through any of the ports proves you nothing! Air may pass or may not pass in both working and broken solenoids, it says nothing about the condition! There is only 1 way to test a solenoid - apply strong vacuum to the vacuum port and switch the power on and off. In one case vacuum gets transferred to the output port, but not to the vent port, and in the other case vacuum is blocked, and the output and vent ports are connected. That's it.
For example, there are PSA solenoids that leak air through all ports when blowing through them, because the solenoid is normal open condition when no power or vacuum is applied. When applied vacuum, a large membrane gets pulled to block the vent port. A smaller membrane is then used to operate the solenoid depending on power.
@@daniel.s.stefanov Not correct with this type of solenoid. Testing the solenoid by pulling a Vacuum is a good way to test most solenoids i agree. However you have to understand that the solenoid shown in this video is not just a normal solenoid. Its designed to handle positive pressure, if you know something about turbocharged engines you would understand that a Vacuum and positive pressure (above atmospheric) conditions are always present depending on the throttle input. You cannot damage the membrane of these particular solenoids especially if you follow what i said in the video. Look at any factory service diagrams, most manufacturers require that positive pressure is used to test the solenoid. Remember this connects to the intake manifold and outputs to the wastegate which require for example 10psi in order for it to be activated.
@@AutoBuddynz Ok, I understand, but you should know that people who watch your video will use these methods on their own solenoids, which will rarely be like this one! Either way, thank you for the effort of making the video and giving information!
Tighten the bearing caps bolts to 88nm ,then release then 20nm ,that seems strange ,I guess to seat the bearings ?but I've not seen one yet where that has been the case on that low a re torque figure ?
Too adjust the bearings ? Then retighten to 88nm ?sorry like you funny order
@@Awd.d this is as per Ford, but will double check
@@AutoBuddynz I understand it as ,torque to 88nm,then slacken and retorque to 20nm ,adjust the side adjusters ,retorque to 88nm and recheck the pattern.
