I think it would be better to react to the original version in Korean with the subs on because it heightens the experience and we can get a better rhythm of the show that way. An English dubbing is fine, but it makes the show lackluster in terms of certain expressions and emotions. Plus, certain dubbings don't translate well for shows based in a certain culture, so it's going to sound weird.

This whole argument is stupid let people watch whatever the hell they want, I agree with the fact that I dont want to keep reading as it creates a disconnect from the show, I cant keep looking at the bottom of the screen and focus on the emotions and details of the show at the same time, then again im sure the real audio has alot more passion behind it, at the end of the day its a trade off, if you want to be relaxed and veiw the show enjoyably, or want to be active during all of it by reading and rewinding the show to make sure you didnt miss anything, to each their own.

I watched the whole show in English and cried multiple times and still felt the emotion. You don’t have to watch it in the original language if you don’t want to. I personally don’t like reading subtitles because it takes the experience away when I’m focusing at the bottom of the screen the whole time.

I was cringing so much because of the dub. The raw emotions of the actors are lost and it's not enjoyable. The dub sucks the sauce out of the k-drama and makes it less fun and enjoyable to watch. I'm glad you enjoyed it, but it is way better in Korean.

The realism in this show is immaculate and so relatable to the desires of people in power. People watching this show have to realize that using human beings as entertainment happened in the past. Romans had the gladiators and the English had jousting. When you’re rich you’re bored of life and when you’re poor vice versa. The show really makes you question the very existence of human beings and how cruel and desensitized we can become. This show was truly a masterpiece.

Watching subbed and dubbed is like watching two different series.
Dubbed cant convey the original message the series wants to convey as good as the original version. Even if it's just small things, eventually there are a lot of small details like words and emotions that gets lost in the dubbed version and gives you a whole different vibe.
I always watch the original language no matter what, and when i see favourite scenes in dub i notice that many of my favourite scenes gets completely ruined.
the dubbed has me cracking up at how different it is. like anime dubs are kinda similar they made these guys sound like literal whole ass different ppl from a 10 dollar college movie

Yeah ima have to dislike for reacting to the English Dub. Absolutely horrible excuse of voice acting while the Korean actors acted their asses off for this amazing show. Watching it in dubbed is just honestly disrespectful.
I actually appreciated the actors performance MORE when I could watch their expressions instead of being constantly distracted by the subtitles..you have no idea how many times I had to rewind lmao
Dubbed or subbed doesn’t matter as a lot of the translations are off either way. Dubbed comes in handy for people who have problems with sight, read slowly, or want to watch the action without having to try to read the dialogue at the same time. It’s genuinely a matter of preference and since this is their channel I would think their preference is the most relevant, and I don’t believe the reaction would have been any different yeah?
