There’s nothing wrong inherently with CrossFit. Anyone who blindly bashes it and its athletes are uneducated. The main issue is that there is a large penchant for injury risk when you are performing complex explosive Olympic style lifts without proper technique and completely fatigued. It’s extremely dangerous to start pumping out clean/jerks and snatches when you are keeling over from fatigue because you did burpees for 50 yards and then handstand walked another 50. The overall technique for safe Olympic lifting is difficult to coach quickly. You cant reasonably expect some 40 year old soccer mom to learn the complexities of triple extension in a clean when she’s just trying to get in shape for the summer to impress the other housewives. It takes years and years of dedicated training with close guidance to safely start building up these exercises.

Huge respect to hear these giant speaks. My opinion only, but they seem to not comprehend that CrossFit Games is a multiple-event point system to determine ranking. That's an extremely idiotic analogy. MMA requires great technique, expertise and efficiency in all aspects of combat sports. Maybe you can't see it but there's beauty in a takedown or a submission, not just punching. Dude, the thing is you cannot actually train for everything. Jack of all trades, master of none. That is his point. Because that would also mean a person decently proficient with 12 different instruments is a superior/more impressive musician than one that is a virtouso and master of just one?
@@Goriaas You didn't. GPP stands for general physical preparedness, there's no implicit greater worth in GPP work over specific work, just two different natures. GPP work can often translate into a better transition to other practices, hence why every sport has a GPP off season, but that's just it. All boils down to what's the premise of the comparison. Crossfit is probably a better activity for the basic needs of the general population, Weightlifting is obviously the superior choice to any athlete that's in a sport where power output and max effort movements are a thing. To each its own. Same as your comparison. It's all a matter of what's being assessed. 石智勇:我不喜欢练肌肉,壮的跟牛一样!
Weird how world class standard weightlifters appreciate CrossFit but bitter and twisted average bodybuilders hate on it. 😂 maybe it’s a personal insecurity thing.
“Lions don’t have beef with ants!”
Huge respect to hear these giant speaks. My opinion only, but they seem to not comprehend that CrossFit Games is a multiple-event point system to determine ranking. If they do, they would probably talk about winning event related to 1rm - be it weightlifting or powerlifting, but losing most of the other like those shown above (high reps cardio-ish) or obstacle course.
Nevertheless the bought up good points and the differences and lots of humility.
SHI Zhiyong's take spot on! its a very flawed training method.
It's similar to a Globetrekker training or say Iron Man in a sense of diversity. We do shit than is a direct translation into our day to day movement patterns. Just try a free class out. Watch all the ladies hand you your ass, and those are the ones older than you.
Olympic weightlifters: crossfit ?
Esta claro que muy listos no son
Claro, nadie bajo el cielo es tan listo como tú
Worst subtitles color and font choice EVER
Like really dude i cant read this from my phone 🙄
the second guy is built like a panda bear
the third guy doesn't even like bodybuilding
Anyone else go into this video expecting them to shit on Crossfit?
Wow so much ignorance about crossfit from the last one; he obviously doesn’t know anything about this sport 🙄
CrossFit is like MMA. They do everything. And Olympic lifting is like boxing - just pure beauty and technique.
That's an extremely idiotic analogy. MMA requires great technique, expertise and efficiency in all aspects of combat sports. Maybe you can't see it but there's beauty in a takedown or a submission, not just punching.
Crossfit is like a music band that can play all genres all night long but they really don't play that good while weighlifting is a band that only plays two genres and just a couple of songs, but they are extraordinary
@@gonzalojesusvegavigo6937 ur sport can't box for shyt. Hall of famers and ex world champions getting knocked out by youtubers (who can't box for shyt either). Not so max compared to these guys right
Those CrossFit totally is a joke 🤣
"but for the general public I think CrossFit is more widely accepted." lmfao if only he knew
So basically crossfit is gay.
Last dude who spoke doesn’t know what he’s talking about RE CrossFit .. we definitely train for speed, explosiveness and strength.. my box definitely trained us to build up to PR and there are workouts that challenged you to lift close to that PR - probably not for a high # of reps but last dude doesn’t know what he’s talking about with CrossFit .. probably went to a dumb box or something
The last dude you said ,who holds Snatch, C&J and total WR in Men 73KG, 2 times Olympic Gold medals, 3 times World Championship,be respectful DUDE! He is just telling the difference between Crossfit and Olympic Weightlifting, he acknowledged the endurance in CF, but while explosiveness and strength your CF is totally on different level from Olympic Weightlifting, DUDE!
All of them are respectful to CF, while you are terribly RUDE to tell us how Ego CF is.
Dude, the thing is you cannot actually train for everything. Jack of all trades, master of none. That is his point. Your speed and explosiveness training is hilariously underwhelming compared to theirs and you can see that by the lifts themselves. Your attitude also shows why people straight up dislike CF. You are just misinformed but talk like you have some sort of authority in training when you cannot even complete one single actual pull-up rep without cheating.
@@shadearca you are wrong eductate yrself before speaking u dubmass
@@nasseral-sabah1163 Yes I am wrong you can train for everything at the same time that is why CF athletes are as good as gymnasts in gymnastics, OWL in olympic lifting, and runners in running, oh wait, they are not.
@@shadearca lol the goal is not to be the best at everything the goal is to do everything within a decent level i never said they are as good as individual gymnasts weightlifters thats why specilization works
because crossfit is dumb af
So have you tried it and got hurt? Listened to other people about talk about it? Tried it and found out you can't do 90% of the workouts? That a majority of first responders, military, and elite athletes actually train this way? Shhhhhh
maybe you should take up something llike zumba
@@jonsustaita2471 What if he tried it, but just didnt like it?
Crosshate
Shi zuyong sayed, crossfit is useless haha
I think you deeply misunderstood the context of what he meant in saying that. He said it would be useless to him CURRENTLY because in weightlifting he only really needs to train strength and power
niche skill vs gpp. its that simple.
Well crossfitters aren't that great at anything. But decent at a handful of disciplines
That's like saying Usian Bolt has one niche skill(sprint) but decathletes or crossfitters are superior more well rounded athletes.
That's a pretty out there opinion if I understood you correctly.
If versatility is taken into account, of course the dude who plays 12 instruments is better, if it's not, of course it's the master of just one. The issue is leaving the parameter of comparison implicit and condemning other people's opinion without being upfront about it.
The answer to "Who's the best X?" is always the boring one: It depends on what terms the elements are being compared.
@@Goriaas Champions of the decathlon are known as the world's greatest athletes for a reason
@@renatolaranja52 Define greatest.
@@Goriaas So you've actually trained for years in CrossFit and are able to discern which kind of complications could occur? Or do you just have friends that are in the same category which have tried for a short period of time and bash it? Unbalanced and unproven comments often show the haters
