I had the pleasure of meeting this WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WOMAN of GOD as I was working in a hospital room in Tulsa, OK. She came in and I recognized her immediately and I told her my grandparents (my grandfather was a preacher and who got started with the Goosman's) name and she reached her hands towards mine and took my hands into hers and she prayed while holding my hands and then she sang for me. She was an awesome woman. I love her. She was the very best ever.
I'm so blessed with all the gospels song they sung,all bill gaither vocal band,especially kirk tally,at my age now i'm 66 years of age i loved hearing and teary eyed of this wonderful marvelous songs of life,thanks,i'm a filipino
Truly wonderful!! Mrs Vestal Goodman was a good friend of country legends George Jones,Barbara Mandrell, Dolly Parton, Marty Stuart, and Connie Smith. Both country music and southern gospel music have long been known and respected to each other. They have on many occasions been cross performed.
I love to see Vestal Goodman sing no one can compare In gospel music I would have loved it to see her and Patsy cline do a gospel record together along with dottie rambo very strong voices heaven will be just awesome because God and Jesus Christ will be there and all our loved ones and all the great music R.I.P. I've been looking for the show where George Jones starts singing this song, and then Vestal comes out and say, 'Not like that, like this" and then she starts sing it. I want to share it on facebook but I can't find it. (I think it might be the 50th anniversary show, I'm not sure). Does anyone know where it is
For, some reason Vestal and Howard Goodman will not talk about their days on PTL program and ended their friendship with Tammy Faye. But Dottie Rambo chose to remain friends with Tammy Faye after the scandal. So, I wonder did Vestal and Howard Goodman deserve to treat Tammy Faye that way.
Boy, does this bring back childhood memories! Used to listen to The Happy Goodmans all the time.

Our mother played The Jubilee music so loud on Sunday morning that we came out of bed and we would get ready for church. A great memory!
