A true woman of God. Sometime in the early 90's I sat in a little church in Jackson Tn. with my 6 year old daughter Faith. The Glory of God was all around this lady as she ministered to the house. Is anyone here like me. Please tell me if you are. I got saved when I got saved when I was 17. I felt the Holy Spirit for about a week. When I went to church I didn't really listen to the sermon but was filled with tears. That week the Pastor came to my house. He asked me if I was saved. I told him I didn't know. I told him after vacation bible school one time I walked down to shake the pastor hand. I wanted to he saved. I just didn't know how to do it. The pastor told me how at that time. The next day while I was taking my bath I asked the Lord to forgive me of my sins. I was sure He did. Then after I got out of the tub and dressed I got on my knees by my bed. I told the Lord I wanted to be with him when I died. I loved my grandfather. He had just passed away. Oh how I wanted to see him again! I had to go the kitchen for a few but told the Lord but would be right back. I went to the hallway that lead to the kitchen. Right when I stepped out of the door the scripture came to my mind; ask and you will receive, seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you. The Lord told me to go get my Bible. He found the scripture. Not me. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ask for forgiveness of your sins first.) (This is the scripture that Lord opened my Bible up to when I wanted to be saved) I told the Lord the I was going to the kitchen for just a Minute but that I Would be right back. That I was going to stay there until He saved me. Then He spoke the words;; in Mathew. 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:As I turned to walk down the hall had already asked for forgiveness of my sins and knelt by the bed. Easy way. After that He told me to tell others how to be saved and of His Love. He also told me to get rid of 2 books that was given to men by my step mother. I took them out and burned them GOD does not care for witch Craft in the least! I did not make it back to my knees. I WAS SAVED! I always do things in my style. It has always worked better for me. He told me to win others to him. I have tried. I am not going to tell you that I have never sinned because I have. The next day while I was taking my bath I asked the Lord to forgive me of my sins. I was sure He did. Then after I got out of the tub and dressed I got on my knees by my bed. I told the Lord I wanted to be with him when I died. I loved my grandfather. He had just passed away. Oh how I wanted to see him again! I had to go the kitchen for a few but told the Lord but would be right back. I went to the hallway that lead to the kitchen. Right when I stepped out of the door the scripture came to my mind; ask and you will receive, seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you. The Lord told me to go get my Bible. He found the scripture. Not me. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ask for forgiveness of your sins first.) (This is the scripture that Lord opened my Bible up to when I wanted to be saved) I told the Lord the I was going to the kitchen for just a Minute but that I Would be right back. That I was going to stay there until He saved me. Then He spoke the words;; in Mathew. 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:As I turned to walk down the hall had already asked for forgiveness of my sins and knelt by the bed. Easy way. After that He told me to tell others how to be saved and of His Love. He also told me to get rid of 2 books that was given to men by my step mother. I took them out and burned them GOD does not care for witch Craft in the least! I did not make it back to my knees. I WAS SAVED! I always do things in my style. It has always worked better for me. He told me to win others to him. I have tried. I am not going to tell you that I have never sinned because I have. He also told me to take the books that my step mother had given me on witch craft and to get rid of them. I took them out and burned them. I had wanted the rapture to come so bad. I don't understand why I was not. I have always been sensitive to hear the Lord. I am lost for words here!

Oh how I love to listen to Dottie sing. She wrote many great songs that touches the heart with God’s guidance.
This woman had a gift from God to write songs. The stories behind the writing of the songs are such amazing testimonies of God's never changing love. This one is my favorite story of all. To feel his touch on your shoulder, what a comfort. The songs this lovely lady of God left behind for us to continue to listen to, continues to be such a blessing to all who listen. When God does a work in someone, it continues to move and touch others, even when the person has left the world behind and is in heaven to be with our Heavenly Father.
I have suffered a loss and know that my Lord will bring me through in the end. But, the pain is still fresh. This is a song I have needed to hear repeatedly, it comforts me. Beautiful song.
