These 6 day full episode delays are pretty risky considering the freshness of the topics. Could go stale pretty quickly.

The only thing worse than politicization of science is the politicization of healthcare.
Bro fur real. Keep the gov’t out of the bedroom and lady parts.
Agree!
Food next etc. etc. 😮
Alternate facts = the attempt to destroy and discredit science, shouting louder with mere opinion, is what politicized it.
Science seeks to continue to exist. Truth needs to be honored for that.

Science and medicine are one and the same. Or, at least it should be.
Scientific American isn't an independent company. We are getting an endorsement from whoever owns Scientific American.
Scientific American is a private corporation owned and operated by foreign corporations.
(On 9/15/2020, Scientific American endorsed Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden for President. This is the first time in their 175 year history that they have ever endorsed a candidate.)
1. Scientific American is owned by Springer Nature, an academic publishing company created by the May 2015 merger of Springer Science+Business Media and Holtzbrinck Publishing Group
2. Springer Nature is owned by two main shareholders: Holtzbrinck Publishing Group, which holds 53% of the shares, and BC Partners, a European private equity firm, which owns the remaining 47%.
So why are European corporations endorsing anyone outside of the EU? Are they influencing American voters somehow? Why would a publishing house suddenly become a political activist?
Just like with our politicians.
Since "Citizens United," we have no idea who owns our politicians.

Kickinghourse,
I believe we do have information on who "owns our political process".
If you are paying attention to the United Nations, the WEF, the Central Banking System, the IMF, and the CFR along with their connected partners, you will see a fairly clear picture of what's going on.
Take a look at the output of these organizations. What POLICIES are they promoting?
Then compare the POLICIES coming out of Washington D.C.
Is there a pattern? Are there close similarities?
Also ask yourself "who are the people who manage these organizations"? What characteristics do they all have in common?
I think you'll find out rather quickly who runs our political system these days.
"Well fuck those guys!"
-Ben Shapiro @1:42
Lmao was just about to comment this
You do understand he was quoting a generic response to the politisation of scientific publications? I mean, as a reaction of some people to these types of endorsement. Then Chris cites de research regarding Nature about that with Covid.

I've only heard Ben Shapiro in annoying debate clips. I actually think his opinion on this is pretty good.
Even though he might have strong political opinions and sound excessive to me, he definitely can be a reasonable human.
Don't be fooled by one or two reasonables opinions;)
I'd venture a guess that you'll feel even more inclined to agree with many of his opinions after you watch the whole episode on Monday
Nothing he says is reasonable. He’s good at making an argument but his arguments are based on a false narrative.

Scientific American went left in the 80's. I canceled my subscription in a few months. So sad because I used to like the purely scientific articles. That was 40 years ago guys and gals. The infiltration has been complete for a long time.

Politicization of science is why Sabine Hossenfelder is so popular.
Scientific American has not been a serious science journal for a couple of decades now.
I'm a foreigner and have sometimes read Scientific American to learn about scientific knowledge from America. Can you suggest me good. apolitical science journals that I can read
Exactly. I used to read Scientific American as a physicist, but ever since they showed their strong bias against the UAP/UFO issue, i knew they weren't reliable. It was literally history repeating itself with what happened to Dr James Mcdonald.
read it from the 70's through the 90's. Dropped subscription as it 1) was dumbed down to get a wider audience, then 2) became woke.
I used to read it as a physicist. Dropped it after seeing the strong bias against the UAP/UFO topic. It was literally history repeating itself
Agreed. I stopped my subscription over 20 years ago. I spotted wokeness that long ago.
I was a loyal Scientific American reader and subscriber for many years when they actually reported on studies, on science, and cancelled my subscription when I noticed the woke agenda that was starting to be pushed by the new breed of editors there. They, like Psychology Today before it, became a pseudo-scientific rag that is unworthy of its glorious tradition.
Same here. As a lifetime nerd and science lover it was one of the few places to read about life on Earth and the cosmos. The worst part it being biased is I have nothing fascinating to read now. So many studies are falsified, biased or out-and-out lies. smh
The woke agenda creeping in. Like recognizing that Trump will be awful once again for the enviroment

Say what you want, and say what you're gonna. But my man, Ben is a smart guy.
I used to subscribe to Scientific American years ago until they started to become political. Canceled my SUB and wrote them as to why I did so. Being politically biased science magazine should never coexist.
Without that huge word that Ben Shapiro just said, there would be no commentary on the internet today.
Scientific American has just lost all credibility when it stepped into the arena of politics.
Not "just". They've been hard looney left since something like 20 years ago, when I cancelled my subscription.
Why? Scientific American is a news publication, albeit science leaning, and it has the right as much as any publication -- such as Shapiro's own publication/network -- to participate in democracy by justifying its political position with its particular focus on science. Why should opinions on politics be limited to only particular news sites, but not others?
@@gs2tab Because SA purports itself to be an aggregator of facts/science, not a political commentary site like Daily Wire. The DW does not position itself as neutral in it's reporting, whereas SA does. If you weigh in with your opinion then you admit you're bias, which scientific studies try to eliminate.

Anyone who's read this magazine over the last few decades knows it's lost, that they frequently now write articles that are completely unscientific. For example, "It's time to end the two sex binary." There are many, many others. What a sad end to what used to be a great magazine.
I finally figured out why Kamala annoys me. She is Hillary Clinton right down to the manic facial expressions, the pantsuits, and the cackle. 🧙

❤ I love what Ben’s saying! Credibility is zero these days.
Ultracrepidarianism - What a word to describe a concept - Thank you Ben Shapiro
I'll be the voice of the middle and say that Republican do the exact same thing. If you condemn scientists and artists for going outside of their purview and supporting Dems, then the religious/sports community and others should also be held to the same standard
Ben suggesting at 4:59 that anyone should "...take a breath" is simply hilarious!
My Father left his subscription to Scientific American to our address after the divorce. From 11-year-old, I started to read it. My thought was, "if I've learned my "mother tongue" without teachers or grammar, then I guess I can learn another language simply by reading it, whether I understand anything or not. -- With time, I learned English, and I learned the vocabulary and Concepts of Academic Papers (although I didn't know the concept at the time).
Long story short, SciAm was my Alma Mather. -- -- Boy, have things changed since then. !! -- Instead of explaining, I'm so depressed by all this, that I simply say, "either somebody does something to step up what all of us who think Rationally", or we might just as well simply give up.
This thought depresses me to no end. -- But that's where we seem to be headed!
Checking out and doing something else is the best advice Ben has ever given anyone. Been doing it on and off for 4 years.
Never thought I’d hear Ben Shapiro drop an F bomb😂
I use to think of science as being a fix to a lot of things. After Covid I’m not as comfortable in that statement.
Because science is a process to determine truth and people have politicized it and turned it into a false religion.

Ben’s comment on the garbage coming out of Scientific American is so accurate. It has been a tragedy watching that great publication fail.
It may not be the last election, but I see this as the difference between what would have happened if we got teddy instead of Wilson. We can recover from anything but that after math is what’s going to be really concerning. Elections have consequences people don’t get black pilled and don’t get lazy either.
They said, You will have nothing and be happy. Its happening now.
This really illustrates how political the scientific community has become…
Perhaps it is simply that staff and students, and those conducting research have bills to pay, jobs to protect, children to feed, and are scared by the new left ideology into agreeing with anything out of fear.
Science isn't getting political, it is big business that stands to lose billions that vilefy hard science they find contrary to their bottom line. Tobacco, asbestos, sugar, pharmaceuticals,Big Ag, gun manufacturers, coal, petroleum all spending billions to put true science in doubt.
Science doesn't have the funding to fight back.

Almost all of these legacy science publications and institutions lost their credibility
The politicalization of science really seemed to get going with the environment back in the 80's-90's. Conservatives stating that we had no effect on global warming and liberals stating that we were the only thing to blame for it. Science politicalization has certainly gotten worse in the last decade. Also this is the first time I've heard Shapiro say "Fuck" haha.
It actually goes back to the late 60's and late 70's with the congressman George McGovern, who was the chairman of the Senate Selection Commitee on Nutrition and Human Needs. This committee is what sent the US down the "fat is bad, carbs are good" obesity and diabetes route. There was very little science to support this but the government pushed industry to adopt this belief and still resist it to this day. The NIH and NSA gave funding to research to support this position, not challenge it like real science should.
Ben actually cusses quite a bit when he not doing his show or any other for the Daily Wire. I’ve heard him do it on a few podcast that don’t care if he uses some colorful language sometimes.
Ben is always a great guest.
Ben dropping curse words is the best!😅
It is horrifying!!
Science is the new Religion. Scientists are very interested in becoming the new priesthood. It’s all about grabbing power.
Politicians are using the good name of science for political purposes. It's the same reason H1tler used Christianity to appeal to the German people. The better something is, the worse it can be corrupted.

Scientific American stopped being "scientific" decades ago. I USED TO be a subscriber - for decades! I stopped when they made that hard left trun into al gore.
Thanks for helping deescalate the manipulative hype around the election on both sides!
I don't care about SciAm endorsing Harris. Editors try to be self-important all the time. Is a SciAm political editorial eyebrow raising? Maybe? But I don't care. It doesn't affect the actual science that they report. So leaving that aside, I LOVE this video. I had no idea who Ben Shapiro was till now. A voice of reason? In a world of echo chambers with fools who say the same things to each other to prop themselves up and tear other echo chambers down, Shapiro's take is breath of fresh air. And Chris Williamson comes off as a deliberative interviewer. Neither given to hyperbole. Neither demonizing anyone. I like this a lot.
Although I pray that Trump is elected, I am starting to ask myself, OK how will I handle the day after? Deep breathing and ALLOWING life to unfold.
You will regret it.

Politicization of Science; better known as scientism.
Because they were bought off
Scientific American's 4 readers must be livid! 😅
Because this rag has become utterly useless to any serious scientist
Sadly, we cannot trust the opinion of a short man. Science has proven it 😂
While I completely agree about the “last election” point, worth noting Trump has said in every rally and speech that we won’t have a country. That incites the same way. Last I checked we still have a country, the market is at all time highs instead of “crashing”. It’s not just Dems.
Gee I wonder why… could it possibly be because abuse it’s all one big show/game? Trump is just the same as the rest.
But the dims control almost the entire mainstream media and 90% of the unelected government
Also worth noting that Trump tried to overturn the most recent election and would undoubtedly do it again in 2028 if reelected in 2024. So I would say the "last election" rhetoric is quite a valid concern.
The death of what makes America the constitutional republic that it is is actually threatened by Kamala and her regime.
She has outright stated that she wants to violate the founding documents of our country.
Long story short: his claims have proof. Hers are baseless lies 😂
Ben just gave me my new favorite political sentence: "Okay, I get this schmuck or that schmuck... I guess I'm voting for this schmuck." 😂😮💨
What is he saying?
this is the best season of American politics I have seen yet 😅
In the 50s, advertising agencies were looking for how to motivate people to buy products. Their studies found that fear and hate are something like 50% more likely to move people to action than any other emotion. Current "news outlets" capitalize on that, and their headlines are designed to instill fear and/or hate. Those emotions motivate people to their cause. If you don't believe it, take note of the headlines in your online media, printed media, and TV media, with that thought in the back of your head. Anything remotely political is spun in such a way as to make the masses afraid or hateful of the opposing side.
We as a country absolutely must move past this, stop consuming those media sources....or else we'll live our lives in fear and hate of anyone who doesn't drink our flavor of political cool-aid. That is not the path we need to be on.
First time, perhaps ever, I've heard Mr. Shapiro say fuck lol
Religionization of science was bad, politicalization of science is bad. Science is science leave it alone.

As a libertarian I got that you have to vote for 'our' candidate this time because it is so important this time. To me this lie is old and I have been ignoring it since I became a libertarian. Normally I don't think a president really matters. I have seen both sides adapt Libertarian solutions and claim them as their own. Gay Marriage is a prime example, not taxing people is another. But this time. The anti 1st and 2nd Amendment rhetoric is really strong from the left. Frighteningly strong. The lies and media manipulation are at an all time high, the lawfare, the socialist roots of all Harris's slogans... its just too much. I am seriously considering in protecting what I love and hope to resume the fight for cleaning things up later. I seriously think that real freedom might actually be on the line if the crap they are pulling works. And in addition we all know that Biden is sick and ill, and that things are running on auto pilot. Harris is complicit in a massive cover up and lying to the American people. That concerns me greatly.
Things are NOT "running on auto pilot, Adam.
There is an active Cabal that runs the USA behind weak puppets like Biden/Harris.
The business of the US goes on daily. Those who seek to shape the laws and policies of this country never sleep.
Presidents have a huge effect on our country.
Pay attention to the Presidential Executive Orders that the Biden administration has signed in the previous 3.5 years.
Pay attention to Presidential "Emergency Orders" that have been put in place since the so-called Pandemic.
THAT is why most have realized the lies about Trump and are voting for him now. I too am a Libertarian, but I believe as you do. Things are going too far this time and if they really want Trump out, then the best thing for America, is most likely Trump, IMHO.
I'm an Indian. The Democrats have been biased against Modi since he's a nationalist and a conservative even though he's not hostile to America. The leader of our opposition party met Obama a few weeks ago. The US embassy speaks to many opposition politicians and activists. They've hired influencers to speak against Modi. It seems as if a regime change operation is underway against us.
It's hard for Modi to speak against it because we are partners of America. But it is causing problems in the relationship.
We would benefit if Trump comes back. He isn't interested in foreign intervention like the deep state is. He'll leave our internal politics alone and just deal with us bilaterally. Which would be much better.
If Kamala wins she may become aggressive against India and our government.
@@globalnationalismyoutube I noticed some of that, but thank you for the pieces I hadn’t noticed/understood. That is troubling, indeed. Looks like the next elections will have the drastic after-effects across the world, as many have said. Let us both hope that true freedom prevails.

I don't know anyone who has ever "accused" RFK, Jr. of being a "Great Scientific Mind".
Could you please define what you mean by "Chem Trails"? I'd like to understand what you mean by this term?
I ask because everyone knows that we have been modifying weather for a very long time now.
Cloud Seeding is an example. It's a common practice all over the planet.
Bill Gates has been VERY public about spraying chemicals in the atmosphere to fight "Climate Change" and "Global Warming".
The United States Air Force publicly talks about Weather Control as part of their mandate by modifying the weather as a force multiplier. They openly publish research papers on their website.

Chemtrails have been debunked a long time ago, are you a hippie? 😂
@@beardedlonewolf7695 Depends on how you want to define chemtrails.... If you talk about the condensation trails left by planes, then no. It makes sense. You have people presenting the country with attacks on science, who put forth "alternate facts", and who name call and disregard the work of many people with years of work in their respective scientific fields.
