Scientific American is a private corporation owned and operated by foreign corporations.
(On 9/15/2020, Scientific American endorsed Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden for President. This is the first time in their 175 year history that they have ever endorsed a candidate.)
      1. Scientific American is owned by Springer Nature, an academic publishing company created by the May 2015 merger of Springer Science+Business Media and Holtzbrinck Publishing Group
      2. Springer Nature is owned by two main shareholders: Holtzbrinck Publishing Group, which holds 53% of the shares, and BC Partners, a European private equity firm, which owns the remaining 47%.
So why are European corporations endorsing anyone outside of the EU? Are they influencing American voters somehow? Why would a publishing house suddenly become a political activist?

      Kickinghourse,
I believe we do have information on who "owns our political process".
If you are paying attention to the United Nations, the WEF, the Central Banking System, the IMF, and the CFR along with their connected partners, you will see a fairly clear picture of what's going on.
Take a look at the output of these organizations. What POLICIES are they promoting?
Then compare the POLICIES coming out of Washington D.C.
Is there a pattern? Are there close similarities?
Also ask yourself "who are the people who manage these organizations"? What characteristics do they all have in common?
I think you'll find out rather quickly who runs our political system these days.

My Father left his subscription to Scientific American to our address after the divorce. From 11-year-old, I started to read it. My thought was, "if I've learned my "mother tongue" without teachers or grammar, then I guess I can learn another language simply by reading it, whether I understand anything or not. -- With time, I learned English, and I learned the vocabulary and Concepts of Academic Papers (although I didn't know the concept at the time).
Long story short, SciAm was my Alma Mather. -- -- Boy, have things changed since then. !! -- Instead of explaining, I'm so depressed by all this, that I simply say, "either somebody does something to step up what all of us who think Rationally", or we might just as well simply give up.
This thought depresses me to no end. -- But that's where we seem to be headed!

It actually goes back to the late 60's and late 70's with the congressman George McGovern, who was the chairman of the Senate Selection Commitee on Nutrition and Human Needs. This committee is what sent the US down the "fat is bad, carbs are good" obesity and diabetes route. There was very little science to support this but the government pushed industry to adopt this belief and still resist it to this day. The NIH and NSA gave funding to research to support this position, not challenge it like real science should.

I don't care about SciAm endorsing Harris. Editors try to be self-important all the time. Is a SciAm political editorial eyebrow raising? Maybe? But I don't care. It doesn't affect the actual science that they report. So leaving that aside, I LOVE this video. I had no idea who Ben Shapiro was till now. A voice of reason? In a world of echo chambers with fools who say the same things to each other to prop themselves up and tear other echo chambers down, Shapiro's take is breath of fresh air. And Chris Williamson comes off as a deliberative interviewer. Neither given to hyperbole. Neither demonizing anyone. I like this a lot.

In the 50s, advertising agencies were looking for how to motivate people to buy products. Their studies found that fear and hate are something like 50% more likely to move people to action than any other emotion. Current "news outlets" capitalize on that, and their headlines are designed to instill fear and/or hate. Those emotions motivate people to their cause. If you don't believe it, take note of the headlines in your online media, printed media, and TV media, with that thought in the back of your head. Anything remotely political is spun in such a way as to make the masses afraid or hateful of the opposing side.
We as a country absolutely must move past this, stop consuming those media sources....or else we'll live our lives in fear and hate of anyone who doesn't drink our flavor of political cool-aid. That is not the path we need to be on.

As a libertarian I got that you have to vote for 'our' candidate this time because it is so important this time. To me this lie is old and I have been ignoring it since I became a libertarian. Normally I don't think a president really matters. I have seen both sides adapt Libertarian solutions and claim them as their own. Gay Marriage is a prime example, not taxing people is another. But this time. The anti 1st and 2nd Amendment rhetoric is really strong from the left. Frighteningly strong. The lies and media manipulation are at an all time high, the lawfare, the socialist roots of all Harris's slogans... its just too much. I am seriously considering in protecting what I love and hope to resume the fight for cleaning things up later. I seriously think that real freedom might actually be on the line if the crap they are pulling works. And in addition we all know that Biden is sick and ill, and that things are running on auto pilot. Harris is complicit in a massive cover up and lying to the American people. That concerns me greatly.

There is an active Cabal that runs the USA behind weak puppets like Biden/Harris.
The business of the US goes on daily. Those who seek to shape the laws and policies of this country never sleep.
Presidents have a huge effect on our country.
Pay attention to the Presidential Executive Orders that the Biden administration has signed in the previous 3.5 years.
Pay attention to Presidential "Emergency Orders" that have been put in place since the so-called Pandemic.

I'm an Indian. The Democrats have been biased against Modi since he's a nationalist and a conservative even though he's not hostile to America. The leader of our opposition party met Obama a few weeks ago. The US embassy speaks to many opposition politicians and activists. They've hired influencers to speak against Modi. It seems as if a regime change operation is underway against us.
It's hard for Modi to speak against it because we are partners of America. But it is causing problems in the relationship.
We would benefit if Trump comes back. He isn't interested in foreign intervention like the deep state is. He'll leave our internal politics alone and just deal with us bilaterally. Which would be much better.
If Kamala wins she may become aggressive against India and our government.

I ask because everyone knows that we have been modifying weather for a very long time now.
Cloud Seeding is an example. It's a common practice all over the planet.
Bill Gates has been VERY public about spraying chemicals in the atmosphere to fight "Climate Change" and "Global Warming".
