    Storyline
    A rich and successful lawyer, the Counselor, is about to get married to his fiancée but soon becomes entangled in a complex drug plot with a middle-man known as Westray. The plan ends up taking a horrible twist and he must protect himself and his soon to be bride as the truth of the drug business is uncovered and targets are eliminated.
    The Counselor (known as The Counsellor in countries that use British English) is a 2013 crime thriller film directed by Ridley Scott and written by Cormac McCarthy. It stars Michael Fassbender as the eponymous Counselor as well as Penélope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt. The film deals with themes such as greed, mortality, love, and trust in the context of the Mexican drug trade. The extremely violent and bloodthirsty activities of drug cartels are depicted as the Counselor, a high-level lawyer, gets involved in a drug deal around the troubled Ciudad Juarez, Mexico/Texas border area.

    This movie is so underrated. Probably my favorite post-Blade Runner Ridley Scott film. As graphic as the bolito scene was, it's what the movie DOESN"T show you that is most disturbing. The audience can only imagine what was on that DVD that is delivered to the main character at the end.

    • @user-nh3gu1ge3d
      @user-nh3gu1ge3d 2 роки тому +5

      @@ini-man6662 No it isn't. Sure, it's not as complicated as a missile, but that's not a device you can buy. You would have to craft that yourself, probably 95% of the population could not craft that themselves given a day. Easy for an engineer, a decent challenge for just about everyone else. And when compared to....anything else, it's pretty sophisticated, complex, and difficult to carry out. You've got to build this complex device yourself, be about a foot from the guy, his back turned to you, drop it over his head, and pull the rope, all before he responds. Then you've got him. But if he ducks, you slip, miss, whatever, it's done. Once he sees you, there's no way you're getting his head in that "noose" without a ton of difficulty.
      Compare that to, say, a brick. Walk up behind, bam. That's 10,000x easier. Golf club, bat, gun, etc. This would be a moderate to severely difficult hit to carry out. Sure, he makes it look easy but that's a movie. This "weapon" is a terribly inefficient weapon, and honestly, it'd probably be much easier to bash him on the head from behind with the ball than slip it over his head and then pull the cord before he responds. This kind of thing isn't done because it's the easy way. It's done to send a message.

    • @ini-man6662
      @ini-man6662 2 роки тому +3

      @@user-nh3gu1ge3dI entirely agree with you, sir. I said that the mechanism is simple. Obviously you can't buy this thing anywhere so you would have to make it yourself, and it's pretty unlikely that you have the industrial machinery and tools that are necessary to build it. Even if you had a 3D printer you'd have to design it yourself.
      You're absolutely right about how hard it would be to use it in real life, and that's why there are millions of more effective and cost-effective ways to kill someone.

      No other motor that small can decapitate the device its just for a movie porpose it’s impossible for that device to even cut your bones especially if you place your hands inside the wire to prevent for cutting your head

    A person would lose consciousness pretty quick before the real damage is done - a person would not be laughing with that volume of blood loss. Creepy yes, but Hollywood does a bad job understanding human anatomy and physiology.

    First glance - just a few seconds in… I’ve made a few props and it looks like the blood spurt comes when Pitt presses the slightly larger part of the prop. I’ve honestly just got to the moment they’ve said the prop guy made it so I might be wrong. It’s still awesome if I am right or wrong.
