Folks, there is a lot going on with this scent, from the scent to the inspiration.
The scent is like a old school barbershop scent. It has talc and Musk. I've never smelled Burma Shave Soap from decades ago, but I assume this is what it would smell like. The Musk and Citrus smelled like an old school scent to me.
Now to the inspiration, there are 2 separate story lines running in parallel here. You have the Burma Shave dedication, but also a homage to the Hotel Cecil. Hotel Cecil is a hotel located near skid row in Los Angeles and has a historic reputation of being haunted. Many people have died in that hotel and a recent documentary on Netflix goes over the history of the hotel. A must watch in my opinion. Enjoy!
