Great video! I am also quite a fan, I like many, have dozens of razors from $20 to $400 and my #1 razor of all time - ever is the Meta-4, for me, it’s perfection. I also have the copper and gold plated ascensions, stainless ascensions, coins, books, brushes, etc! My top 5 soaps are Harvest Moon, Ciderhouse 5, Otra, Droid Black and Good Vibrations… I can’t wait to get this razor! PAA is the ultimate shave nirvana, they have fabulous products and they absolutely bring vibe to shaving!

Hello, this razor is definitely different and gives me kind of "the lost amber room" vibes and fans of the fifth element should like it too. Let's see what comes next from Doug. I hope it will be a PAA version of the german Rotbart Nr. 15 razor - for me the best vintage razor ever. I'm looking forward to see your shave with the Artifact. What is your experience with the Rotbart Nr. 15 (CC) ?

Hello Tobin, I did not give up and now I found out on which vintage razor the Artifact is based on - it can only be the Evermoist. Just saw it on Etsy.

If you give me here a "burner" email address, I will contact you and drop some pictures of the Evermoist. There should be a video on facebook from douglas with updated information. The Artifact is now listed in the PAA shop and you can also find there a picture of the ladie's Evermoist.

It shouldn't, I have vintage Gillette Techs that are gold plated from the 1950s and they look great. I don't think this will either.

Awesome! I can't wait to hear your thoughts! So far, I've tried 8 or 9 different blades. They all did well except the Kai, the Kai tugged on the first pass but was good after the first. All others were FANTASTIC for all 3 passes plus cleanups
