OMG.... I understand how yummy corn, flava beans, peas etc etc.... taste fresh off the plant..... I am Australian born to Sicilian parents and grew up with fresh vegetables and also preserving , like olives... sun dried tomatoes etc. Thanks for your great videos.... ❤ from Melbourne Australia 😊
Im so glad I stumbled upon your channel brother. I got sober 6 months ago from lots of drugs and alcohol and its been the best decision Ive ever made. Im a musician, touring and performing since I was 14, and just turned 34. So alot of wear and tear on the body. Amongst getting sober Ive been trying to make concious health decisions and been really interested in starting a garden. I came across your channel and your presentation and passion for it has truely inspired me to try my hand at it. I just wanted to extend my graditude. Thank you brother, Ill be watching much more. Much Love from Colorado
I have a small townhouse in Bangkok Thailand trying to take some of your tricks and apply them. Your content is wholesome man, we need more good vibes in the world. Much love
After seeing this, I am going to get out to my garden and pick what's ready for a gazpaucho. I dehydrate some of my basil, lightly grind it and sprinkle over french vanilla ice cream. Love the sound of all the birds tweeting.
Not gonna lie, I got pretty burnt out on this last growing season. But you're getting me so excited and inspired for next year! I can't wait to start growing our own food again!
Love your videos, I like how you inform people of the benefits each vegetable has. I think that’s really good and you should strive to keep learning about different plants and vegetables and informing since you have the following 👍🏼
My family sells roadside corn with an honour system. One time earlier this year, as my sister and I brought the trailer back from the field an older couple was waiting for us, and saw us each get out of the truck eating a cob of raw corn. They made faces and said, "you just eat it raw like that?!" 😂 I explained the sugar starts turning to starch a few hours after picking, and the biggest reason to cook same-day-fresh corn is for flavour- or for rolling in butter. They could still hardly believe it. My sister also got her boyfriend's dad onto raw corn, he'd had the same reaction until he tried it. It's just corn!! We tell if corn's ready by simply grabbing the top. If it's full all the way up it's good, if the husk is spongy and you can't feel the kernels it's not ready, if it's full part of the way up then stops it's probably ready, the plant just suffered some stress while it was growing the cob.
Wow your tomatoes look fab. I grow Ananas tomatoes this year 90% flesh and full of flowers. I have kept the seeds from a few of them so I can grow them for next year. Would love to seed you some of the seeds if I could
I find it amazing when you are harvesting your own fruit and vegetables and when you eat them they taste so much better than anything bought from shops although sometimes they aren't all uniform like the shops but who cares when they taste better , I'm glad you managed to harvest your cauliflower congratulations I'm just waiting for my sweet potatoes to finish then I'll be able to harvest, love your knowledge and passion and keep up the great work you do Alessandro 👍
I like my corn raw and have taught my granddaughter to eat it like that as well. So many people think it’s weird but I don’t understand because we eat all kind of vegetables raw 🤷🏻♀️😊.
I am so pleased for you, Loved the look on your face tucking into your harvest, the colours are amazing and the lay out is perfectly overgrown. You look like your living your dream , can't wait for the future plot
Love the flower seed hack you threw in there! Man, once you start looking at veg this way, you're gonna treat them differently when cooking. Minimal changes. Nature has already done its share 🤯
5. At that time Iesus went on the Sabbath day through the cornfields, and his disciples were an hungered, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. 6. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day. 7. And he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungered and they that were with him; how he entered into the house of God and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? 8. Or have yet not read in the law, how that on the Sabbath days the priests in the Temple do work on the Sabbath and are blameless? But I say unto you, That in this place is One greater than the Temple.
That is a gorgeous garden!! Also this is random but I started growing sunflower out of curiosity thanks to your video! Currently growing tomatoes and marigold as well. Thank you for the inspiration and keep on keeping on Alessandro! 🙌🙌
Does the UK have any rules on heirloom seeds? Here in the United States we had several states that made heirloom illegal to grow. Your garden is very beautiful. I always enjoyed mixing my veggies, herbs and flower beds. Would put my okra as backdrop borders and so on. Have herbs as flower beds for certain pollinators to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. I noticed you had a book in a short is it available for purchase?
I was never interested in gardening but just by seeing how much he enjoys what he's doing made me subscribe and I'm 100% sure I'll watch any new videos.
This is amazing content. You have so much knowledge to share with us. I just hope we can all learn from you to grow better together in the future. Congratulations 🎉 on your cauliflower. One amazing size I’m still trying with them also.
Our neighbors recently brought over some ears of Olathe for us. First thing I did, open an ear and start eating it right off the cob. Both neighbor and spouse looked at me like I had just grown a second head. My mouth is watering watching you crunch into that sweet sweet cob o corn!
Every time I watch you I MUST get busy in my own garden. What you have there on such a small patch is truly amazing, I aspire to be as lucky. Just ordered your book too! ❤
That's a big zucchini. I would call that a "bread zucchini", or I would cut it down the middle, and then, stuff it, with meat, rice, vegetables, and bake it .
Here's an idea that could enhance your ability to grow anything! Tree Fountain (aka Tree of Life) 1- Bore a hole into and up a tree being careful not to bisect the core of the tree. 2- Coat the inside of the hole with beeswax. 3- Put a water basin at the top and a fire pit or fireplace at the bottom. 4- Put copper pipe around the inside of the fire pit or up the chimney for a fireplace. This will act as a pump. (You can also use a hotplate if you prefer) 5- Add water wheels (fidget spinners can be used for some decent mini water wheels) for electricity. 6- Add hanging gardens for fresh produce. 7- Splice other saplings and/or fresh tree cuttings using the tongue and groove method for shelter. This design provides food, filtered and conditioned water and air, electricity, shelter and SO much more! Everything a person needs for life and survival. Hence the "Tree of Life" nickname!
Many people would love to be able to grow their own fruits and veggies, consume natural and delicious food. The problem is that with the overpopulation and limited resources, only some people have access to even tiniest amount of land and even less people are resource independent. Being 'eco-friendly' on a small scale is not a long-term solution for humanity. It might be fun and some individuals can benefit from it but only well-organized, big but reasonable agriculture is the way to go. We should promote buying food from local farmers instead of growing everything individually. The worst thing to do is of course to import our avocados from another part of the world, because it causes pollution, food waste and rainforest degradation. Using locally grown food limits our choices to whatewer grows in this part of the world but I guess not eating avocados etc. is better than ecological disaster.
I love how the thumbnail is probably supposed to be shocking like raw corn?! Meanwhile I grew up stealing raw corn cobs from the neighbouring farms and eating it on the walk
If the body was our universe you would be a very efficient enzyme i think. To many they would think its an insult but in fact its very noble i hope you continue to educate and waste nothing. Everything and nothing but an enzyme at the same time stay true
I like your garden it's a realy good patch you have done well and I use to work on farms growing asparagus but at home I had a good garden where we lived and I had 4 or 5 different kind of tomato and I use to eat my cherry tomato straight off the plant but I never had herbs and wrapped in a basal leaf sounds great I wish I grew it and tryed it but where we live now is not so easy to set up a nice garden and if I did again I'd be worried that the owner would sell and we would have to move again and after all the work you put into your garden if you didn't own the land and were told you needed to move out it realy hurts, after all the work the new owners get all the veg I worked hard to grow, but your garden is a lot better than mine was .

They arw chasint the varieties with longest shelf life etc. They don't care about taste at all so that is the reason
@@oliverkrautkremer5540 that and all the chemicals used to help preserve them
You can't beat the taste of sweetcorn raw just harvested. Everyone should try to grow some. You have managed it in a raised bed too! 😊
It’s starchy and not as soft. I’d cool it first. Maybe try a bite to see but definitely cool it to enjoy

Imho, you need some animals in the garden as well.
Animals and veggies go hand in hand.

AMARANTH is a common or to be called a daily diet in our Bengali culture from Calcutta, India. we bengalis call it "SHAAK"
Enjoying some raw okra and salt now
Cheers spicey and laja!!!!
Do NOT do this with Okra! I tried a raw okra pod out of curiosity. Instant regret, due to it being a textural mistake!
I'm amazed at the size and abundance of that London allotment. He's very fortunate, because the waiting list for plots is as long as the Thames.
I LOVE THE ESCAPE OF THE SYSTEM
Thats what i call a healthy life
Cheers, thanks 🙏🏻
Raw corn was my favorite when I was a kid, we would pick it and eat it right away, pure nectar
I was never interested in gardening but just by seeing how much he enjoys what he's doing made me subscribe and I'm 100% sure I'll watch any new videos.
If you had the space to grow animals sustainable and healthily for the animals would you?
The most italian thing is not to eat a whole head of garlic on toasted bread.
The most italian thing is to eat a cherry tomato with a leaf of basil.

This is amazing content. You have so much knowledge to share with us. I just hope we can all learn from you to grow better together in the future.

I appreciate these videos, but...Did this guy just step out of prison he's been in for years? 😮 And, Raw Veggies are healthy, everyone knows that.
You could offer your garden-design services to people who want to have them. Bringing in more wealth. Monetize your greatness.
You're welcome!!
