What an honour to be featured on your channel my friend, I’ve been inspired by everything you do since discovering you on instagram a few years back. So grateful to have met you & formed a friendship! Look forward to having you on my channel very soon 👨🌾👨🌾
Hi Gaz from Perth Western Oz. Slightly hilly ground could be beneficial if you set fruit trees up along/down the slope with swales, which’ll save you watering back’n’forth. Beautiful area. Great videos!
These types of videos are very enriching because you get others to talk about many things that we would not normally hear on their channels. I can imagine you doing the script and the questions with great curiosity and it's nice that you just open the space for people to talk, very inspiring. Thank you Spicy! and much love from Costa Rica. (I also love your other videos where I can hear and see your experience)
This, folks, is the FUTURE OF HEALTHY MASCULINITY. Gaz is an ICON for us. Of course this lifestyle is not limited to men in any way, but I feel in my body, experience, and mind that this is what us men are missing in the world today.
Many thanks sir! Appreciate your efforts as well. You along with gaz have helped me in my first year gardening, and I grew some beautiful jalapenos. Blessings and kudos.
Exactly the modern human expirience in cities means a visual and audio overload to our senses. Beside that WE are 100% dependend on our wirkliche in factories, companies- No Matter how healthy the Work enviroments are- WE are totally dependend on IT. From these mentioned reasons there can envolve so much Frustration WE let Out in our private lifes to the people who are closest to us.
I’m currently in the process of learning as much as I can. I’m in Arizona so the weather is tough. I have a small are where I’m thinking of placing some above ground plant boxes. Luckily I have some tall hopseed bushes that will shade the area after 12pm. Eventually will build simple structure for shade.
Hey Gaz after 20yrs being homeless i got an apartment thats just been built. In the front room i have a raised garden bed. Its a table that i have all my babies on. Garlic, strawberry, mint, lavender, tomatoes, echinacea and celery. I took the celery end and have it in water with my carnations and other flowers. The bouquets are lasting much longer and the celery end has sprouted really nicely!!! So ahoy from WA USA the west coast ❤❤❤
reading your comment just warmed my heart. so happy for you that you found a sheltered home and are growing food!!!! no matter how small the space, you can always grow something! all the best for your future!
Gaz has to be one of the most inspiring person when it comes to cooking as well as starting a kitchen garden. He’s so entertaining to watch. Love him a lot ❤
Hello from America 👋 it's great to see people caring about the planet, it's refreshing, especially since most people talk about the planet dying and wars and it's just ridiculous, just nice to see people like you
I think the longing for home never leaves. Generation after generation. My grandmother on my mother’s side was born in Ireland and as well there were some ancestors from my Dads side from Ireland. I am about 6th generation Australian and have never traveled but have a longing for Ireland. I have always said if I ever went to Ireland I would not want to leave. My sister was able to travel there many years ago and I asked her how she felt and she told me,d me she didn’t want to leave and cried on the plane as she left.
I can relate... I moved to the country and did not realise my soil is rock hard. Slowly breaking it down with compost and mulch. The first season I grew mainly in pots lol. Sending much love from Australia from a lady that was born in Wales. 🦘🐾🐨
Gaz’s ability to communicate effectively and engagingly has moved dramatically since his first year of videos. It’s so great to see, and what a wonderful advocate he is for plant-based food!
You are very sympathic...following your dreams and let grow ! Love to get a taste of your food ! ..maybe someday when i ll visit wales ! Greetings from germany!
Gaz my DAD sings about Hiraeth!!! “When you come home again to WALES”!!! Well he sings everything all the time, but he sings that hymn a lot. Traveling back to Cardiff & the Vale of Glam in Feb next. Will HAVE to book at Nana O’s!!
After watching your videos I’ve become so inspired to grow my own food! I’ve never grown anything I’m actually terrible at keeping house plants alive BUT I’ve just planted garlic so I’m going to start off with that first and hopefully I can learn how to grow more over the winter ready to start planting in spring 🙏🏻
Both of you are amazing. It would be nice of you have a share room tp rent and genuine people can stay there and cook with you. Talk with you about real food.... I think i will be register to be your guest.
I love this! Your spirit and intention are so admirable and your property is gorgeous. Have you looked into creating swales? I watched The Weedy Gardener build some with the help of a permaculture pro in Australia. Could be of help in your sloping section maybe. Wishing you all the best for your most exciting future.
Wow! This is my dream but nobody is supporting me on this. My family ridicules me for wanting to leave the city life and move to the country. But I too have a burning desire to move to a place like this somewhere in upstate New York. Getting tired of living in New York City.
Gaz and Spicy, you have the tools and the knowledge to grow plant based cuisine. It has absolutely exploded in the UK and for me as a portlandian american im absolutely jealous of the vegan culture exploding in Europe. I hope it leads to a wave of change....be the change you want to see in the world =D
"Hiraeth" is what the Portuguese call "saudade", there's no translation to English and is a sense of longing for a place or someone, a little sad and happy at the same time.
Fuck yeh, I absolutely love watching both of your channels fella's, two true Wizards in my eye 👁 Blessings to you both from Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺 May Love, Light and awisdom be with all 🙏💚🧙♂️
Go to Nova Scotia for the Giant Pumpkin races! Says me from south Louisiana, USA. There are videos on UA-cam. I lol'd at growing everything in the one raised bed. I finally got my guy into gardening and he's overcrowding our container gardens and starting to see the need to expand. BTW we are baby boomers so a very late start for him. Our soil is very sandy, full of tree roots as we live in the woods, hence container gardening. I just ate our first ripe Cherokee tomato and it was fantastic!
Hi Gaz. I tried growing chickpeas this year. They grew ok but it really made me appreciate how much work that goes into harvesting them. You don’t realise how many chickpea plants it takes to produce a big bag of chickpeas. It’s nice to be able to walk around the garden and pluck the green ones off and eat them fresh though. Exercises like these bring us into the reality of how we over consume and take for granted that which is provided for us. Let us be truly grateful and give thanks for all things. May we mindfully think before we eat. 🦋
Uphill? Wait until this guy understands that you can gather water in the highest point of your property to spread it downwards. Downwards is where the water goes, back to the sea, always.
As a meat eater thank you for being a vegan with actual knowledge and sharing it rather than those annoying vegans who try to force it on other people. 🍻
Hopefully you can ditch the unsustainable grass for native plants. It'll help with drought and flooding, while being a safe haven for small mammals and insects (yay pollinators).
What an honour to be featured on your channel my friend, I’ve been inspired by everything you do since discovering you on instagram a few years back. So grateful to have met you & formed a friendship! Look forward to having you on my channel very soon 👨🌾👨🌾
Have a look at Geoff Lawton in regards to growing on a hill
Thanks to you for being so welcoming and I’m really grateful we got to meet and connect as friends man! Much love and hope to see ya soon 🫶

That would be awesome 👍
