2024. It's hard to believe this is the better part of 30 years old. Crispian looks so fresh faced. Kula Shaker were one of the best bands to come out of the 90s. I'm so happy to see them making music again in 2024 😊❤

I don't normally "go for" cover versions but this is exceptional....they played it last night at Leeds O2 on the Natural Magick tour...un-believable band,my 5th KULA SHAKER gig....brilliant every time.
The first time I heard this I went ballistic! Played it on my show like 2 x that day I was so addicted to it. (It was the late 90's)

Purple's version isn't the original - it's a cover of the (fairly cheesy) Joe South original - but it remains the template. Deep purple covered it. Billy Joe Royal originally performed it - it was below average.
