Yes mate 💯 . It's unique enough that it formed a deep timestamp in me that triggered when I heard this. Launched me back to being 12 years old, stealing FHM and Loaded magazines from under my big brother's bed and trying really hard to convince myself i didn't fancy the spice girls
I feel blessed that I was a teenager in the 90s, when Britain produced 100 amazing bands every year. Incredible era. Today's music is crap, I'm sorry for the youngins.
acintya-bhedābheda-tattva... simultaneous oneness and difference between the individual soul and the Supersoul... brilliant song revealing the essence of Vedic scriptures
I turned 40 y at september and still i laisten this era music. It's the best. Modern day music is shit. Especially rap. Can't stand rap shit. Oasis🎉❤. This song is amazing.. Kula shaker🎉!
There's a big reason why not too many people like listening to Kula Shaker any more. I mean just exactly are lyrics such as "if you know your history you will read between the lines" and "jerry was there" supposed to mean? And they didn't exactly pick the smartest of places to gig (or album cover symbolism) if they weren't that way inclined. Don't get me wrong. I recognise cool music when I hear it. I'm just not sure whether I'm enjoying something which didn't come from a good place or not. Some great stuff on that album. ...and then you get to the "hidden" track at the end of the last track. Again, just what the hell is that supposed to sound like? Weird. They had plenty recognition. They were the next big thing. Seemed to have nothing left in the tank though. Did a good cover of "Hush" and then failed to write anything else which connected with people. Such a shame. I want to be able to say they were great but if the stories are true then they deserved their slide from fame.
@@MASAo7 Same could be said about Oasis. As a matter of fact Noel has admitted a lot of his lyrics are rubbish. They themselves eventually fell off as well for a lot of the same reasons you listed. But what "stories" could you be referring to? Couldn't be worse tha the Gallagher bros?
@@jeremysears4263 omg I just love Noel's commentary on their DVD. He asks if they can listen to one of the songs with the sound off lol The Kula Shaker thing is rumours so I wouldn't want to make any direct allegations but they say there's no smoke without fire...
davethemurse I know what you mean. There have been times when I heard a song, lost touch with it and wanted to know who did it & when. Now its so much easier to find out the answer. When I was growing up, it was boardering on the impossible to get that answer. I know how you feel when you get that answer. :) Power to ya! :))
Davethemurse me too! I used to play this song all the time on my college radio station in the late 90s but years later had trouble finding it since the lyrics are so unusual. I'm so glad I finally did though, what a great song!
I was at Tower Records when this song came on. I had oasis and Ocean Colour Scene in my hands...heading for the checkout. I left with Oasis, Ocean Colour and Kula Shaker. Still great after all these years.
All these tunes take me right back to such a happy time in my life, it' sooooo brilliant hearing them all again. Wish it was still the 90's now or when ever it was. Best damn years of my life!!!

Rhonnda Neumann Most of these songs have been in the '60s(psychodellic), but this is a great example of it in the '90s. Another example is from a group called Beautiful People in their samples of Jimi Hendrix's music. I usually don't like sampling, but in this case I will make a major exception. Mostly because they sample their music, but don't try to cover it and make it seem as if its their own. They document what they covered, for what song, etc. For that I give them cudos (sic).
Miss this era of indie music, reminds my beautiful 90's childhood. If anyone can suggest any modern bands with this sound please share your knowledge. Thanks
Cancel culture. Crispian Mills said he thought the swastika was a beautiful symbol.
