Deep Purple is the Miles Davis of Rock . I have to say they are a revolving door of talent coming in going out and coming back they are the best ever . I write this as I listen to Pink Floyd Time in the background.
God looked at the world and saw Jon Lord. When he saw how he played the Hammond organ he thought to himself, nobody else has mastered this instrument like this man - he has to go to me to teach us to play this instrument! RIP Jon - You were and are the best who has ever played this instrument !!!
Deep Purple are highly under-rated. They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame only in 2016. Ritchie Blackmore (Guitar) & Ian Paice (Drums) are similarly under-rated as well. You will never find them in any of the top lists, where they & Deep Purple as a band rightfully belong.

Cool to see Morse play the bridge from Roundabout and hand his solo back to the keyboards. Steve just loves to perform with anyone. I'm sure playing with Rick was a buzz for him.
I was lucky enough to meet Steve Morse when he was at UM. He’s an amazing musician and I assure you all he was not trying to be Richie Blackmore. He was being the great, humble musician he is. Great job Steve!

I don't know why I keep putting myself through this...I'm always optimistic that Ian Gillan would sound great and I'm always disappointed (makes me want to cry). He's pinched and feeble...everyone else on stage is killing it, and Bruce always sounds phenomenal. Please, can someone tell Ian to gracefully bow out!
