Can you use weld prostar style lugs with these wheels instad of the factory acorn lugs? I know the lug holes are bigger but i want to make sure i can run the other style wile still being safe
I'm getting into to this with my blown 79 coupe deville build "devillen". Had a pair of rears made 15×10 with a 5" backspace wheels fit great. Mounted my 17×10.5×15 Hoosier's at 13" tread they're not fitting too nice anymore. I have an 8.8 & a 9" so it's going to take a short rear end and a knotched frame.
Be nice to see it at English mountains and hell yes spraying more lol. Looking good 👍with more grip u shod get them front wheels off the ground now a lot more . U will be needing wheelie bars soon cool
Would 4.5 backspace -25.00mm offset fit too ? Trying to order some 15x10’s for my 88 iroc, I’d love to have the 10 inch wheel and have a bit of that deep dish look,
Yea I’m pretty happy with it. May have to roll the lip a bit when I goto 28x10.5s and lower the rear a bit with some coilovers but it’ll close that gap up for sure. That gap is the only thing that kinda bothers me about running a 26” tire.
i just installed a new 9" rearend and had them shorten the axles 1" on each end...How much backspacing do you recommend so I too can put a 10" wide rim on.
If you watch the newer videos I just installed a 9” as well. Shortened 1/2” on either side and still running these same wheels. You’ll just need to do a bit of clearancing in the bump stop area and possibly up front. All depends on your tire size.
I just bought a 91 camaro z28, its been lowered 2 inches front and rear. I wanna upgrade my wheels to a 17 inch either Boyds or Centerline. I don't know what backspace to use. I like your wheel how they are flush with the 1/4 panels. Any idea Chief what backspace i should use??
All I can tell you to do is measure and find a placement you’re happy with. For me with a 10” wide wheel with zero offset I feel a 6” backspace is perfect. But modification may be needed depending on tire size.
This entire build is covered on video in detail in the Chaos Theory Camaro playlist. Here’s the video for the hood. ua-cam.com/video/A5ikvTsoj8A/v-deo.html
So my car isn't super quick but im having problems hooking up.. I don't wanna put anything on that will bump me out of the street tire class.. I'm thinking of copying your wheel set up.. now my main question is what do you suggest would be the biggest street tire size I can run on this setup?
If you’re running hardcore class then you should focus more on your suspension. Specifically some adjustable shocks to allow more weight transfer and some adjustable LCA brackets to allow you to set more anti squat. Check out my UMI products playlist for more details.
Just a street tire class at my local 1/8 mile.. so wouldn't even mess with the tires before that? Its pretty well stock suspension wise I have a non adjustable panhard thats it
I believe they weight around 21lbs each. And no subframe connectors yet. So far we’re not seeing any chassis flex on the videos cutting low 1.6x 60fts. What alot of people misinterpret as chassis flex in these cars is actually just a rear suspension that isn’t working correctly. That adjustable anti-roll bar helps a lot with that. Honestly we may bypass the subframe connectors all together and go straight to a cage since were already running too fast not to have one. 🤣
This videos almost 3 years old now so I don’t remember the part number, but there’s an eBay link in the description. They’re the 15x10 vision wheels. Zero offset, 5.5 BS as explained in the video. Same as the Jegs wheels with the same specs.
These aren’t the wheels we normally run on the nova but we tried them on it a few months ago and they fit surprisingly. Here’s a short of them in the nova. ua-cam.com/users/shortsJVFWb4ahPjU?feature=share
@Bad Luck Garage I saw that video ans it's got me thinking 😁 . Was anything cut out under the fender? Is there any way you can make a longer video showing underneath. Did you relocate shocks or do anything special to make them fit
@@BadLuckGarage I have a third gen with a fourth gen ford 9 inch. With the wider rear end everythjng I am finding is 7.5 backspace. That sound about rite?
I can't stand back tires/wheels tucked in a car, such a stupid look. I love little bit of tire poke out, much better looking and more of a aggressive look. Why have awesome looking tires just to be tucked in the body. When i see a car coming down the road i wanna see a beefy aggressive stance look not just the body of the car only rollingdown the road. 😂
I can’t stand it when my tires poke out past the fender lip and get torn to shit everytime I hit a bump or shredded in the middle of a 5 second pass and puts me into the wall at 125mph. So I guess we all have our preferences.
Nice to see a video on this since 5.5 BS on a 15x10 has been recommended for decades. A lot more room than I expected.
Thanks for watching! Glad this video helped you out!
That's a great use of the space and a good spot to put tires/ wheels
New shoes look great 👍🏻
Yea I'm digging them alot more than the little 15x7s, lol

what do you think the biggest size a 15 inch front tire can handle. 15x8 ? what offset ?
15 x 7 and what backspace on the front?
Lug nuts specs? Factory length wheel studs?
Those should help C.C. get some grip for sure 👍😎
Hope so
Looks great brother nice and clean looking

Grate information... do you have the part number of the wheels that you have on the back?
No but there’s a link in the video description.
What kind of rear suspension do you run?

I wonder if the 15” wheels would clear the factor rear disc brake setup?
Yea. The 4thgen brakes would require some grinding on the caliper though

I just got 15x10 for the back of my 72 Mach 1
Do you think they will fit too ? 5.50 back spacing on a 9” ford rear end with disc brakes.
I wouldn’t have a clue what fits a 72 mustang brother. 🤷🏼♂️

How much do those weigh? And do you have subframe connectors? Watched your umi sway bar video. I have an 89 TTA

Hi, what's the lip size on the 15x10 wheels? Thank
Links to the wheels are in the description. All needed measurements were given in the video.
Who do you recommend for a 6.0 stroker kit
There’s no one answer. I recommend whoever meets your needs for the best price.
