It's the rider not the bike. That R1 would every bit stay neck to neck. Damn sure wouldn't leave it. I know I've owned current models of both and currently own a 2023 R1. Only thing I liked more on the bmw is the large display.
I agree with you 100%. The rider screwed up a few times, you can see the weight shifting each time. There is no way that BMW can gap the R1 that much.. I am living proof lol These two bikes comes down to Tires and the rider..
@@Sm00thieK I've rode 3 of Japan's liter bike base modes. Honda, Kawasaki, and Yamaha Brand new in the past 3 years. Even the bmw stops at 184 mph. It is a gentleman's agreement. That is until flashed, and tuned. Slowest in my book is the German bike. My zx10RR ate a m package beamer up, and my bike didn't even have carbon wheels. My R1M will keep neck to neck through out the full rev range with the zx10RR.
Weirdly enough the bmw s1000rr is only like 18k and can keep up with a Ducati V4 that's such a good deal tbh I want the r1 so bad but I might go with the bmw just for the performance and sheer adulterated power.
@@gangsta_pigeon8023 r1 is definitely easier to work on but parts availability is about the same. Some company are still developing parts for this generation bmw like core moto wheels and some others but majority of parts are available now
I tedeschi non hanno mai saputo costruire moto, la loro storia ha visto decine di marchi motociclistici andare in fallimento, oggi è rimasto lunico marchio appoggiato ad un brand automobilistico stile Honda. Il problema di questi colossi è che sono costituiti da gente mediocre e annoiata e lo vediamo sempre più spesso nei campionati, sono anni che la Honda fa flop su flop in SBK e in assenza del pilota fuoriclasse non combina nulla neanche in MGP. Le case molto più piccole come Yamaha e Ducati ma anche Kawasaki stanno facendo prodotti decisamente migliori sempre in virtù della fame di vittoria. Non basta fare un motore potente, c'è molto altro da costruire attorno...io preferisco la Yamaha R1 alla BMW

R1 is the slowest litre class superbike. Every other bike of it’s class beats it at higher speeds

I’d go with bmw all day, it’s has the top notch ecu and electronics over the r1 and barley more expensive
